American social casino. Mojo in the morning. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. Our text is 95500. If you do text in, understand that we love to actually talk to you. We're not big on reading text messages and just going through them. A lot of times we do if we can't get a hold of you. I always listen to like some radio shows and they'll just sit there and read text messages all day. And I feel like that's a podcast. You know what I mean? Like I want interaction. I want to be able to talk to you guys. So if you get a call from a number and you say, oh, my God, it either says iHeartRadio or it's unidentified, that could be one of our people here that's calling you up to say, hey, Mojo and Shannon and Megan and Mike and Kevin, everybody wants to talk to you on the radio. Shannon, the makeout spot.

00:02:40 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, did this bring back the memories?

00:02:43 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 1:

So Wes lives. Maybe for you.

00:02:46 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 2:

Well, maybe for all of us.

00:02:48 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 3:

My make-out spot was me kissing my own hand in my bedroom as a child.

00:02:52 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm sorry. This brings back painful PTSD for you. But Wes lives right by this huge park in Rochester called Bloomer Park. I'm sure a lot of you listening are familiar with Bloomer. It's huge. And so we constantly are going for walks there because it's beautiful. And I love going there. So the night before last, we decided we're going to take a really long walk just to get some exercise. We had a ton of stuff to talk about. So a couple of miles in, because when you're with Wes, you don't just take a quick walk, okay? The guy, he's like, yeah, we're going to go on a short walk seven miles later. I'm like, this is not a short walk, okay? But about three miles in, we come to this beautiful little clearing, and there's a pond, and there's like a sandy area, and there are birds chirping. And it was just stunning. So, of course, you know, I pull up my phone. I take a picture. all of a sudden we turn our heads to the left and we see these two high school kids like in this little field just going at it not having not baking cookies but making out like mad now again we're in the middle of like a forest inside bloomer park okay there is nobody else around and we found these high school kids little make out spot and it made me laugh because i feel like when you're that age and you don't want to be making out in front of your parents you have you have your spot right that you can escape and go to and nobody's gonna bust you when i was in high school my boyfriend's family had a trampoline way in the back of their backyard and it kind of had one of those like netting things on it so if you were laying on the trampoline nobody could see you yeah and that was our makeup that we would go to if his parents were home and we wanted to make out and not have anybody see what we were doing.

00:04:41 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

My teenage sons, their make-out spot was Marshbank Park, which was not that far. That was the spot. And the only reason I knew it was the Little League T-ball teams played there. And I remember one of the moms saying, I saw Joe up here. See, that's why you had to get it like a...

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 5:

secluded spot. Like for me, it was Smyrna Dam, which if you're from West Michigan or even from Belding, you know where that is. It's like a off the road, off the beaten path. Nobody really goes there. You could do like fishing and stuff there, but other than that, nobody goes there. That's

00:05:13 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 2:

the spot. And would you pull up your car and just make out in your car or what? Yeah. Yeah. Or you

00:05:17 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 5:

could sit by the water while it babbled, the babbling brook. The babbling, that's what this

00:05:21 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 3:

was, the babbling brook. And they were just on the ground, just rolling around. Man, I will say

00:05:26 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 6:

this though they wherever these make out spots are you got to make sure you don't do it during the height of mosquito season because all i'm thinking about is those kids in bloomer park eating live they don't care although i think nowadays these kids by the way this is this is just me this is me being the get off my lawn i think nowadays these kids aren't making out i think they're going up there and they're doing other things too like hand stuff oh no i think They're past the hand stuff I think they've I think they've gone To other things

00:05:56 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh I love this song Yeah Shannon you both got So many memories of this Right At first I was like I didn't have one And now I'm thinking Oh yes I had two of them Oh do tell The first one was Olander Park And if you go to Olander You know there's like Three swing set Like jungle gym areas And it was one In the back Because there were A lot of trees back there And it was shadier back there Because you're up to Shady stuff If you know what I mean And then And the other one was at the Centennial Corey, but it was up where the water slide like launching ramp was, where the volleyball courts were up there because none of the adults would go to the water slide. So it was just a bunch of teens making out up there. Oh, really? Just a bunch of us.

00:06:44 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 6:

Aaron, where was your makeout spot?

00:06:47 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

so my first real high school girlfriend uh you know our parents were still super strict so we lied said we were going to school early to study and we would just pull around the block and go

00:06:59 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 6:

into the cemetery oh cemetery is always a good place and it's funny because that was i mean no there was a cemetery there was a we had like a revolutionary war cemetery that was by us where They didn't even use it anymore. It was just basically for show. And, you know, they had all the people from the Revolutionary War.

00:07:18 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 2:

It was not for show. There's people, there's dead people there.

00:07:20 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 6:

But no, but they didn't, no, they didn't put new people there.

00:07:24 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but there's still skeletons under your feet.

00:07:26 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 4:

Occasionally, mourners would be around.

00:07:28 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

Wait, so you would be, like, making out while there was a family there mourning the death of their loved one?

00:07:35 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, it was in the winter, so that was rare. And it was just one time we looked up and there's, like, a family placing flowers. and that was kind of the buzzkill for the rest of the time.

00:07:46 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 6:

It wasn't the bodies, it was the flowers. Wait, you never took those flowers and then gave them to the girl afterwards, did you? You rotten bastard.

00:07:56 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 5:

I don't know how you make out with somebody while you're holding your breath at a cemetery.

00:07:59 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yes, I still do that. Why?

00:08:03 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 5:

When you drive by it?

00:08:04 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:08:06 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the morning, what's up, Helena? How you doing?

00:08:09 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Mine was always Suburban Ice.

00:08:13 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 6:

Suburban Ice? Where's that? That's the ice arena there over in, where's that? Is that?

00:08:18 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

Macomb. Macomb, okay.

00:08:20 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say, I thought it was downriver, but it's east side of town?

00:08:23 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:08:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 2:

So where'd you go, the parking lot or somewhere inside?

00:08:28 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 7:

Yep, the parking lot, usually in the back where there were no cars and no lights.

00:08:34 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 6:

Because I was going to say, the best place to kiss in the ice arena is somewhere where everybody's cold and you have to keep somebody warm, right? Yeah.

00:08:42 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but then there's people around. See, there's parents around.

00:08:45 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 6:

Well, look at you guys, you and Wes.

00:08:48 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I don't think there was anybody to know. We just walked away. Let them do their thing.

00:08:56 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 6:

Did the kids, by the way, go, hey, old people, keep walking.

00:08:59 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 3:

I honest to God, don't think they noticed us.

00:09:02 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 6:

Really? Yeah. They were so into it, huh? Kiss. Yeah. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.

00:09:10 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 5:

All right, let's go. Shimmy, shimmy, coco pop. Yeah, shimmy, shimmy, coco pop. Kissing.

00:09:16 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 7:

Shimmy, shimmy, coco pop. Shimmy, shimmy, coco pop.

00:09:19 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Amanda?

00:09:20 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 7:

Hey, guys.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 6:

Hey, where was your make-out spot?

00:09:24 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 7:

Long-time caller. First time kisser.

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 6:

What's going on?

00:09:29 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 7:

so my high school boyfriend's parents owned a storage unit a gated storage unit so we would just go park in there and park in a storage unit make out no no that's smart that's smart

00:09:43 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 6:

did you guys do more than that since you had your own little private room we did

00:09:50 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 5:

did the first time i get awkward like hey you're taking me to a storage unit

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

are you going to kill me and kill my body here why is it that it was very romantic why is it

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 5:

that in movies, that's always the place where the criminal is hiding, is in the storage unit.

00:10:05 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 10:

I always watch a lot of scary movies, so you think I would know better, but here we are.

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning. Tim?

00:10:24 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 7:

Hello.

00:10:25 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 5:

Where's your make-out spot?

00:10:27 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 7:

so i went to warren my high school and in the auxiliary gym there was an attic that folded down and the ladder came down and everybody in the school kind of knew about it so there's like blankets up there and stuff like that so at lunch we'd go up there and just you know

00:10:42 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 5:

get to it wow so the attic of the warren mott high school gym is the aux gym yeah good place

00:10:52 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 7:

i mean a lot of people knew about it a couple girls got pregnant up there but you know

00:10:56 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. Dirty Dina is on with us right now. Hi, Dirty Dina.

00:11:21 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 10:

Well, hello. So I called in to say my spot back in the day, and I'm still with my man, was a church parking lot.

00:11:32 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

Yes, ma'am. Which one? Call it out.

00:11:36 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 10:

Warndale, part of Detroit. St. Thomas Aquinas. Oh, no!

00:11:41 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. So you were making out in the, you know, when we do our contest that we do called Six on sacks will ask the question of like hey where's the craziest place you did it you would not believe how many times we get calls from people that say that they've done it in a church so me i was gonna

00:11:58 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 10:

say megan yeah i know i i've been listening for since day one so i i i've heard those just so you

00:12:06 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

know you'll be joined in hell by megan who's also done the same thing so we're gonna have a party I should have played that one for the funeral ceremony one. Greg, are you there?

00:12:34 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 6:

I'm here.

00:12:35 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 5:

Hey, where was your make-out spot?

00:12:38 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 6:

It was the Detroit Terminal parking lot. I would pick up family members from Arizona. We'd make out and more.

00:12:47 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, and more. With your family members? Yeah. Short-term parking.

00:12:52 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 8:

Short-term parking.

00:12:56 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 5:

Wait, that's an expensive kiss.

00:12:59 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 6:

You know, back in the day, I'm old now, but back in the day, it was like $5.

00:13:02 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 5:

Really? Okay. So the short-term parking at the airport was the great place to go to. Kara, where was your make-out spot?

00:13:13 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 9:

Mine was in the back parking lot of a public library.

00:13:17 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, because nobody's ever, like, filling up the parking lot that much where they're going to the back parking lot, right?

00:13:22 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 9:

Right, and then there was a strip of wood, and on the other side of the woods was my neighborhood. So all of its neighborhood kids would pop through the woods, go to the back parking lot, and there you go. Wow.

00:13:31 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Wow. So do you ever now as a grown adult ever, like, think to yourself, oh, my God, that's where we did it? And would you ever bring, like, your current relationship with you to go do it and test it out again?

00:13:43 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 9:

Probably, yeah, just for the fun of it.

00:13:46 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Shannon, you said there was the woods there by your parents' house? You should actually do that. You should go take Wes and try it.

00:13:54 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

To my ex-boyfriend's house?

00:13:56 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:13:57 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 3:

That's my mother's his trampoline. That would be super weird. You show them what's up. Could you imagine? They have since moved, by the way, and I'm guessing they don't have the trampoline anymore.

00:14:06 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 5:

What do you think? Wait. What would you think that they would do if all of a sudden they're like, hey, is that that Murphy girl out there right now?

00:14:14 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 3:

Well, I talk to them all the time. What's going on? They'd be excited.

00:14:17 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 5:

She's banging out with some guy that looks like a model.

00:14:20 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 4:
