So Chelsea and I went to the mall. Chelsea's my wife. We went to the mall yesterday. It's Mojo in the morning. And at the particular mall that I'm going to talk about, and I won't say the name of it, they have like a little too much kiosk action going on. Do you know what a kiosk is? I'm going to say something, by the way, today that I think is going to piss off gypsies for being compared to the people I'm about to compare you to, I think might even be worse. What's worse, a gypsy or a mall kiosk worker? Or are they the same? Somebody tell me this. I just wanted to know. Because yesterday I went to the mall and Chelsea and I were walking around. And, yes, we did get chased by the hair straightener girl. Okay? What about the- She went after Chelsea trying to straighten her hair out, which I was like, okay.

00:03:00 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 4:

What about the facial cream from, like, the stuff on the bottom of the ocean? Oh, yeah. Is that guy still there?

00:03:04 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what? I did not- Can I be honest? I did not see that one. Maybe I didn't walk into that wing of the mall. Hey, bro. Hey, bro. Let me clean your shoes. Oh, I got this clean your shoes guy. Ready? I'm going to give you all the mall kiosk people, and I want to ask you guys this question. And be very honest with us. Do they attack you like they attack me? Do I have on my face, in Chelsea, my wife have on her face, sucker written all over it?

00:03:28 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 2:

I was going to ask you about that because I walk by them so many times. Maybe I just look like they don't want to mess with me.

00:03:34 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 3:

You look cheap. Maybe. You don't look like a guy or you're not a sucker like me. Maybe that's the thing. They never bother. Who are the ones that chased after us? Okay, the two hair straightener girls. Then it was the poppet toy guy. You know the poppets that are the little plastic things where the kids just keep pushing them?

00:03:53 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 4:

I have about 25 of them at my house.

00:03:55 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

Explain to me what that does other than annoyance.

00:03:58 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 4:

My kids even have the poppet backpacks. I love them.

00:04:01 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 3:

You do love them?

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're so relaxing.

00:04:04 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Really? And then he's got all these other annoying piece of spit toys there, too. Like the hat where the ears go up and down. Okay, I have one of those. You have one of those?

00:04:13 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you push a button to do it?

00:04:14 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you kind of, like, squeeze the thing, and it does it.

00:04:16 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 4:

What?

00:04:17 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you got to squeeze it in. Don't get me that for Christmas, but it is. If I had you as my Secret Santa, but I don't.

00:04:22 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, good cover.

00:04:23 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 3:

I don't. Okay. I won't say who I have. The other ones that were there were the, I didn't see the lotions and stuff, but I did see the Make Your Own Perfume and Cologne. Have you seen that at all?

00:04:35 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 4:

I have not seen that one, to be fair.

00:04:36 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 3:

You can Make Your Own Perfume and Cologne. Then it's the Pop Socket Cell Phone Case Seller. and then the latest thing that they have at this mall is a help yourself suitcase place there's like a you go have you ever seen that at all no they have like a bunch of suitcases and it's basically they don't have somebody working there there's like you i think unless maybe they

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

were on a break or something you just walk up order yourself you go in there

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 5:

Why don't I just take one of the suitcases that are there?

00:05:01 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 3:

I think you put your money in it and it releases whatever the suitcase is that they have there.

00:05:06 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 2:

Is that for, like, if you buy too much to carry around? I don't understand. Or is it to actually buy a suitcase?

00:05:10 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

Who goes to a mall to buy a suitcase? Do you go to the mall to buy a suitcase?

00:05:13 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 5:

Well, yeah, but I go to the anchor stores like Macy's or JCPenney because they always have 50% off all luggage sales.

00:05:20 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

I've never bought in a suitcase. I've never bought a suitcase, so I don't know. Chelsea usually is the only one that's ever purchased them. I literally go to TJ Maxx.

00:05:27 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 5:

I go to Kohl's or I go to Macy's because they always have them on sale.

00:05:31 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

I felt like a mini-adult until you just asked that question. I had no idea where one would even purchase one of those.

00:05:37 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

I had no idea.

00:05:37 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 5:

Well, because you get one from your parents and you use it for 40 years.

00:05:40 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 3:

And the other thing is I never see anybody in the store that just sells tea. Has anybody ever gone?

00:05:47 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 2:

Me, me, me. You've gone into that store? Teavana is like literally my happy place.

00:05:51 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Kelsey, are the mall kiosk people as aggressive in your town as they are in my town?

00:05:59 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 6:

Yes. You have to just walk by and not make eye contact.

00:06:04 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it doesn't matter. They will follow you.

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 6:

They will. You just have to stick to your guns, though, and just keep going.

00:06:11 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there's some I don't know what the story is with these guys. I would like to get them hired at our radio station to sell ad time because I really do think And our boss, Colleen, and our sales manager, Kim, you guys could probably benefit having them on our staff. They are relentless, aren't they?

00:06:31 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, they're very persistent.

00:06:33 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and it's almost honestly like they – has anybody ever had a kiosk person follow them to their car? No way. I want to know if that's ever happened.

00:06:42 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. That's out of bounds. Somebody just texted and said, tell me you're talking about Great Lakes Crossing without telling me you're – It's not, you know, it's not just the one mall we're talking about, but we got a text from Mario Kesey, who's the owner of Oakland Mall, and he said, we do not allow solicitation by kiosks. That's something worth pointing out there, isn't it?

00:06:58 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

I've been wanting to get Mario Kesey on our show to let us do some kind of an event.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 5:

They're doing a beautiful remodel of that mall.

00:07:05 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Mario, I got your phone number now. I'm going to call you, buddy. That'd be good.

00:07:10 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 5:

I'd say you should advertise that more often, that nobody will hassle you when you walk by with hair extensions.

00:07:15 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Tina? Hi. Hey, what's happening?

00:07:19 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Mojo and everybody else. Good morning. Good morning. Have you ever been attacked by? I love your show.

00:07:24 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we love you too. Have you ever been attacked by one of these kiosk people?

00:07:28 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 6:

Of course. You just start signing like you're deaf.

00:07:32 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:07:33 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 4:

Jeez, come on.

00:07:34 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 6:

And they look at you and they don't know what to do. Right. You should be alone.

00:07:38 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

You know what? That actually is interesting. I never thought of doing something like that. Leave it to you to do that. Thank you for the call. With how many there are and how long they last, they must sell stuff, right? Right. must work yeah just like that last call what do you do ashley to keep the kiosk person away

00:07:53 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 6:

i just told them i don't speak english and they just look at me like did you just say that in

00:07:59 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 5:

english i was just gonna say yeah don't worry the last 80 customers said the same thing they're not buying it that's hysterical they're like well i do let me tell you how fried and horrible your hair looks you destroyed it and they'll just completely cut you down and ruin your self-esteem

00:08:16 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

That's the other thing, too. I've never known, and I don't know if you have, Ashley, anybody that actually has let them straighten their hair. Did you look better afterwards?

00:08:24 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 6:

No. My hair was already straight to begin with. I was like, what did you do?

00:08:28 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

I know. I always say that. I'm like, look at my hair. It could not be straighter, unfortunately.

00:08:33 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 4:

You did?

00:08:33 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 2:

I did it once. I didn't mean to. I was young. They scared me. I sat down. They only did half of my head, and I had curly hair, and they wouldn't do the other half.

00:08:41 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, unless you buy it, right? That's not the worst.

00:08:44 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 4:
