Excited for family coming to town. Excited for food. Excited for everything. Excited to have a few more days off this week is going to be kind of nice. You know what I thought was pretty amazing? Did you see the, they had the Hobnobble Gobble? Yeah. Which is the pre-parade party that they do.

It's a Detroit thing, yeah. So the Detroit Parade is a big deal here in Detroit, and the people in Detroit make it seem like it's actually the Macy's Parade. It is a great parade. It's beautiful.

But the Macy's Parade is the Macy's Parade. Be prepared to be there for a while, yeah. And so they have a pre-party on Friday night, I think it is, and they had the party on Friday night, not expecting that they were going to have to clean up afterwards to get the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns in here for that snow game because Buffalo got like 70-some inches of snow. And so, long story short, you should have seen the time-lapsed video of them cleaning up after the hobnobble gobble and the game. It was pretty wild. They showed it yesterday during the game, which, by the way, was pretty cool. I couldn't believe they sold out in just a matter of moments that Ford Field.

that you could get for as low as like 25 bucks but honestly i was really cheap i looked at tickets and they were normal price oh really yeah there was and actually the secondary market was selling a bunch of tickets for like crazy prices because there was a lot of people that that live in buffalo or that are from buffalo that don't live there anymore and they wanted to come because this game was a lot closer than driving all the way to buffalo and having to deal with that plus to be

Well, today we're having a potluck at work, and that's exciting. What did you bring for that? What did you do for the potluck? Yeah, well, I had to get up extra early this morning to assemble and prep it. But because of the timing, I couldn't cook it in advance or it would have been mush. So I had to get up at like 4.30, make the whole thing this morning before I came to work. You made something for this? Yeah, but then I left it in the fridge and then Meg has to throw it in the oven for me and she's so nice.

She's going to like bake it and then bring it to work. Wait, you didn't cook anything. I totally did. You did not. Meg made it. Well, she's throwing it in the oven, but I have two casserole dishes that are in there. Wait, you are making an item for this thing? I made it at four o'clock this morning. I started assembling all the ingredients last night. What did you make? I made my family's, well, it's actually my recipe because I combined two family recipes and it's a baked sweet potato and apple casserole.

Oh my God, that sounds amazing. Are you sure that that girlfriend of yours that I see on your Instagram is cooking all the time?

I know it's hard to believe because she is the cook. She's the one that will usually spend all day in the kitchen. But I was not going to volunteer her to make something for work that she can't even enjoy. So she's going to be nice enough to put in the oven for me today because it has to be hot and fresh when it comes in.

To me, I feel like this is almost too good to be true.

Well, you can have some if you want. No, well, I'm going to try it and make sure. Do you want to call her and get her word that she was mad at me because I left the recipe on the counter all weekend because she's so A-type personality. The paper on the counter was bothering her all weekend, but I had to make sure I had all the ingredients.

I saw the Costco pie in the refrigerator, and I thought for sure that was yours.
