All right, it's Mojo on the morning show. What is the one Valentine's Day gift that no woman wants? They just did a poll of this. And when I say this, I'm going to eliminate two things you might think would be number one on this list is not flowers or candy, which is funny because that's like the cliche. Like everybody goes and gets flowers or candy. I know some women that don't like flowers or candy. Like to them, you know, flowers are beautiful, but they die and candy just makes them fat and they don't want it at all. But there is one that I never really thought of until I saw this stat. The number one thing that no woman wants, stuffed teddy bears.

00:02:31 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

00:02:31 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 5:

It topped the list of the number one thing that women say they hate when their guy gets them that.

00:02:38 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 3:

Especially if it's Build-A-Bear. I've already said that, like, skews me out so bad.

00:02:42 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 2:

Why y'all don't like it?

00:02:44 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 3:

Build-A-Bear in particular?

00:02:46 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 2:

Both of you and Megan had something to say about the stuffed bears.

00:02:50 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, for me, personally, whenever a boy that I was dating gave me a stuffed animal in a relationship, we broke up right afterward. Oh, really? It was just like the kiss of death. And they were always built a pair.

00:03:02 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Please tell me nothing recently.

00:03:03 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 3:

Named with a birth certificate. Weird.

00:03:06 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 5:

This was like when you were young.

00:03:09 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 3:

High school, college.

00:03:10 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 5:

High school and college.

00:03:11 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 3:

High school and college, though.

00:03:13 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 2:

Because you could put, like, voices in them, right? Yes. Did they say something sexy in them? No. At least the college one? No.

00:03:19 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 4:

and for me it's like what do you want me to do with it because do you want it to sit out on display i'm not going to display it so that but i have to hold on to it for a certain amount of time before i can get rid of it so i don't hurt your feelings so it's going to sit in a closet until you come over and then it's going to sit somewhere awkward and then i'm going to hide it

00:03:37 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 2:

as soon as you leave again i feel like the intention is for you to have something that

00:03:42 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 4:

when you look at it you think of me i would rather truly you get like a ring from walmart

00:03:49 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 3:

that i can wear every day than a stuffed animal or give me one of your sweatshirts that smells

00:03:52 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 5:

like you um you could probably got that already though what what okay here's i want to throw out there are there any adults that have teddy bears or have stuffed animals that are not from your childhood that yeah that are not from your child like you like that no because seriously like some

00:04:05 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 3:

people save their childhood stuffed animal and i understand that because that story came out about

00:04:10 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 5:

build a bear doing an adult version like they're actually the cougar that was very funny did you

00:04:15 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 4:

watch the ad was that a joke yes it was i mean they have a cougar bear but it was like just a

00:04:21 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 5:

silly ad but it it was very funny i remember the second date update where the guy went back to her house and they were going to have sex they go to her bedroom and she had a bed full of stuffed animals and he said it was just so weird because she was like a 30 year old or 28 year old or something girl and she had all these stuffed animals and he was just so weirded out by that

00:04:43 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 3:

but those like squish marlos or whatever are like super popular with adults right now too really well and jelly cats everybody collects jelly cats right now i kind of like jelly cats what are jelly cats show me a picture jelly cats are really cute like so soft stuffed animals and they have everything Like, Lucy has a toilet paper roll jelly cat, but then she also has, like, bunnies, and they have jelly cat kitchens where you can go, and they'll, like, pretend cook your jelly cat pancakes and...

00:05:12 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:05:13 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

...fanwiches.

00:05:14 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 5:

They have everything.

00:05:15 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 3:

But they're very expensive.

00:05:16 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 5:

That's cute for, like, Lucy's age, but if there was, like...

00:05:18 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 3:

No, there are adults that drop some money on jelly cats.

00:05:22 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 5:

I need to talk to you. Are you the same people that did Beanie Babies back in the day? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I always felt like it was ladies named Helen that had Beanie Babies.

00:05:33 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 6:

Not Helen.

00:05:34 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 5:

For some reason, they were always crazed over these Beanie Babies things. What's up, Eric? How you doing?

00:05:40 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, my wife got me a long time ago. She got me one of those stuffed monkeys because she calls me stud monkey or whatever. Now the cat just chews on it or whatever. But you know what's worse than stuffed animals? What's that? is the presence that you have to, like, maintain throughout your relationship.

00:05:59 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

00:06:00 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

Like, oh, God. I had to do it for years. It was terrible. My wife got me, like, one of these Admit One boxes, and she's like, it's cute because any time we go to, like, an event like a movie or a concert, you can add a ticket to it. And I'm, like, so glad that ever since COVID they got rid of tickets. Now I'm like, oh, well, they're all electronic now. That is funny.

00:06:21 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

I always say Chia Pets. I'm going to give Chelsea a Chia Pet today. those things are underrated you gotta you gotta have that i think the funniest is the the people like will go out last minute go to in you know i love kroger and obviously i promoted them in the last commercial break saying hey if you forget something for your spouse but when you go down the valentine aisle not everything should be put in your cart for a for a thing and you see some of the stuff that's in there and if i went if i went down the aisle and they had like the stuffed animal bear that's attached to a bunch of like a little mini balloon or yeah like chelsea would be like you wasted money on that like you should look at me like i was nuts for doing we were

00:06:58 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

facetiming west's sister last night and her husband walked in and she was like carlo please do not go to the gas station and get me any more roses this year like she was just like gas station

00:07:10 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 5:

flowers no like they're paper flowers too aren't they at the gas station i have no idea but they

00:07:14 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

were like arguing back and forth and it was so chelsea would be happier if i got her the hot

00:07:19 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 5:

dog that's on the spinny wheel thing at the gas station than she would if i got her a flower from speedway what's up jennifer hi hi first time long time

00:07:30 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 4:

i was i was one of those crazy baby people were you really yeah so i used to work at the bank of america across from somerset okay yeah we would take shifts, and we would take our breaks and go to Nordstrom's and wait for them to bring them out.

00:07:55 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 5:

They sold Beanie Babies at Nordstrom's?

00:07:58 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

They did. They did. And we would text each other what they have, and we would grab for whoever. Like, we did this all the time. Like, it was an obsession.

00:08:08 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 5:

That's so funny. I did not know that. For some reason, I always pictured Beanie Babies at McDonald's. Oh, the little minis. Those are cute.

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 4:

Those are the mini ones.

00:08:18 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 5:

And then they would always be somebody that would be at selling them at like flea markets and stuff like that. Like they would be trying to make a bunch of money. Gibraltar Trade Center had tons of them.

00:08:29 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 6:

I want to go back to what you said, though, about these damn teddy bears.

00:08:32 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:08:33 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 6:

We live in a world where people love to say it's the thought that counts.

00:08:37 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:08:37 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 6:

If you get anything for Valentine's Day, you need to shut up, say thank you, and be appreciative that you have somebody that thought about you and wants to show you love. No. How dare I think about you on Valentine's Day, provide something for you, and then you look at me and say, this isn't what I wanted, or you're disgusted because I got you a teddy bear? Would you rather have nothing? No, I don't want you to waste your money. I don't want you to be wasteful. That's not wasteful, though.

00:08:59 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 5:

You know if you're buying a teddy bear for them. You didn't think about them until five minutes before you were going over to her house.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 6:

I could have walked in the house with nothing.

00:09:06 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 5:

I'd prefer it.

00:09:07 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 6:

No, you wouldn't. You wouldn't complain.

00:09:09 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Stop playing. Kevin, you're telling me. So it is. It's true. You're wasting money on that.

00:09:14 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 6:

No, how's it a waste if it's a token of my love and affection for you? Because it's not a token of love. How much token?

00:09:20 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 3:

I promise you, I swear on my children and my dogs, if Wes came home with the Build-A-Bear tonight, I would get tears in my eyes and say, please put it in the donation bin. I would rather have nothing. If he came with a jelly cat and said, baby, I love you. Okay, a jelly cat is different. Jelly cat is different.

00:09:36 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 5:

I'd call a divorce attorney at that point. That's what I would do. What's up? Misfit Victor is on with us right now. Good morning. The man of love.

00:09:42 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning. As my kids, as my daughter would say, happy Valentine's Day.

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 5:

Aw, that's cute.

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know, instead of a, I'd rather have a pizza, a heart-shaped pizza than a teddy bear. But the ultimate worst, the ultimate worst gift.

00:10:00 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

is and a long time ago my uh my brother-in-law i had a girlfriend that made him do this is the uh the hands where you you you put your hands together and put it in this pot of clay or something oh the mold yeah yeah that is the worst because you i mean holding hands fine but you guys sit there and hold hands together for like 10 minutes and it's going to be on your mantle for 10 years do you really yeah it's like honestly what well you couldn't name a star after me like that's the other thing oh look i named a star after you thank you i i like that more than

00:10:40 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 4:

the hand molds and the teddy bear victor what are you going to get for tina what's going to be your

00:10:45 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 5:

special gift for her well i i got roses that's it and then uh i mean that's it i mean that's so not creative though yeah but we've been at it for like we've been together for so you don't even try anymore do you you don't even try no it's like you and chelsea on christmas and anniversaries and swedish day and stuff like that it's just you know it becomes whatever i always say that

00:11:09 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 4:

chelsea and i have a thing we don't buy each other gifts we buy just whatever we want and say this one's from you so i did take her to chick-fil-a last night i am bowling but did you use your chick-fil-a points no not one not one i can honestly say that is love uh what's going on uh how you doing kim what's happening hi hi what's up uh first time long time

00:11:36 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 8:

um i was just saying that um when i was when my kids were little they would do the whole build a bear thing and i used to shop at goodwill quite a bit you know looking for toys and stuff and i found a build a bear there and so i got it for my son and about maybe a month later we found out that if you squeezed it it said i love you lisa poor lisa lisa brought it over there that's funny

00:12:10 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

terry what's going on what's the uh what's the gift for valentine's day the gas station rose made out of lace underwear yeah that's real is that really true kevin says that kevin says don't complain because it's the thought that counts

00:12:27 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 7:

listen and i i thought about not wearing them i thought about it nothing screams love like

00:12:35 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 4:

10 on 2 and a pair of lace underwear dustin what's going on it's mojo in the morning hi Hey, how are you guys doing this morning? Good, what's up? I agree with Kev.

00:12:45 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 6:

If I bring home anything at all, come on. It seems so ungrateful for you to be like, oh, well, I don't like what you brought home. But you guys build a bear. You're building the bear. Exactly. I'm sorry. That takes time and effort.

00:13:04 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 4:

Come on, you build the bear for her.

00:13:07 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 2:

We have to pull that.

00:13:08 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

00:13:09 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 4:

Sierra, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:13:13 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 7:

Kevin, come here. Come listen here. I'm here. You're not just going to get no teddy bear and say, you better be happy that I got you something. It's a thought. Yeah, it's a thought that counts. But we're all adults. Like, come on. Be thoughtful. Give me something that I'm really going to say. Dang, babe, you really put some thought into this. Instead of just throwing a teddy bear at me. No, no.

00:13:31 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 1:

I'm not saying you just show up with a bear in the bag and say, happy, you know, Valentine's Day. But you got to have something.

00:13:37 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 4:

Sierra, hold on a second. And Bethany has a comment to make that you're going to like. Bethany, what did you want to say to Kevin?

00:13:43 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 8:

It feels a lot like maybe Kevin got somebody a teddy bear for Valentine's Day. No, no. And he's feeling a type of like, because you guys are all roasting him about it. Oh, my gosh. He got somebody a teddy bear and he wants them to be happy. He better be thankful.

00:13:58 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 7:

Do you think he did that this year? And he's now like, oh, crap.

00:14:02 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I think he did. I think he's got it in his backpack.

00:14:04 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 2:
