FIFA World Cup 2026 oh my gosh all right it is mojo in the morning phone number 844 mojo live the text is 95500 to get through to us do we have any people that work at restaurants here that will tell me if I was in the wrong on this I want to know if you guys think that this guy was a little out of control but i got yelled at by the owner of a restaurant that we were eating at um and i got yelled at for something that honestly i thought was crazy and i've done it before and i don't understand why they would get so upset with me i was out to eat and you know how uh when you're out to eat and you get your meal served to you you don't sometimes have like a utensil to eat your meal with you first thing you do is you look for somebody to get you like a fork or whatever to see if they can get a fork. Second thing you do is you look at another table and see if there's any table set or set, right? So this was one of those restaurants that had the fork, knife, spoon all together wrapped up in a cloth napkin. So it was wrapped up together, like, you know, and they have them like, they look like, I don't know, like a vibrator, I guess. I was trying to think of what looks like that, a long thing like that. so um i went over to the table that was next to ours and i grabbed one off the table all of a sudden i hear a guy go no and i'm like looking going oh my god what happened the guy's yelling at me and he comes over to the table goes you can't just take something off of a table all you have to do is ask your server i'm like well my server's not even near me at this time not even close and we're sitting there arguing back and forth actually i wasn't i felt like crap i don't argue with the guy like i'm really sorry i felt like i felt like he caught me stealing from him or something is it bad for me just to grab it off the table am i getting crazy with this i don't

00:03:30 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 6:

think it's bad i have done the same thing a million times i do this all the time especially for like ketchup i was gonna say if i'm running along my side i'm not even waiting to ask the waiter i'm just gonna get up and get it you just go and yeah grab it right off the table honestly

00:03:46 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 7:

I felt like that was helping the person that was pretty busy trying to do their thing. My question that I wanted to ask is, A, did I do wrong? But B, has anybody ever gone to a business to buy something? Like you're there as a customer and the people yelled at you. Because this reminds me of there's a store in Birmingham that I will not say what the store is. But there is a store in Birmingham and the lady who runs the store or owns the store, I've been in there before, is so mean that I will not go into the store anymore. Chelsea has asked me, hey, will you go and pick something up for me? And I will not go into the store and do it because I went in there one time and the woman was just a vicious bitch. She was mean. It was like, do you ever know those places where you go to and you don't want to even have to deal with the people?

00:04:47 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

So I just got yelled at at CVS the other day. It's really funny that you're doing this topic. I was with Lucy, and some of the CVSs, I think, have a self-checkout area. So there's two.

00:05:00 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

in this particular cvs there were two self-checkout areas and we had a whole bunch of random stuff so i were checking out and all of a sudden the thing freezes on me and i'm like oh great like so i hit the button you know for to get help for somebody to come up and we wait and we wait and we wait and nobody's coming up and finally i said lou let's just move to the next to the next one and we'll just bring up our stuff there so that's what we started doing i'm paying i'm literally like touching my credit card to the thing and this lady runs up and is screaming at lucy and i do not do that that screws up the whole thing i'm like well it's frozen and i did ring for help and nobody came i am paying before i leave obviously i'm not just going to walk out with these things she gave me the third degree to the point where now that's the cvs i have to go pick up my prescriptions and every time i see her there i cannot make eye contact with her i would switch

00:05:57 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 2:

my CVS just for that. Can I tell you that there's going to come a time where everything's going to be run by computers and we're going to miss this screaming person that yells at us. Because it is crazy though how many of those CVS's, Shannon, no wonder why these drugstores are going out of business. It's nuts that there's nobody in the store except for the pharmacist.

00:06:16 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

And Michael's is the same way now. They force you to do the self-checkout and I can't use my dang Michael Rewards and it kills me. Your $5? Fix it, please.

00:06:26 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

Rachel, what's up? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.

00:06:30 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 5:

Hi. So my dad actually just did this at a restaurant with my entire family. And for some reason, I was just kind of mortified by the behavior because he did that typical dad boomer look around to make sure, like, no one was coming. And instead of just waiting for our, you know, waiter or waitress to come back, he just steals one off the table.

00:06:49 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

So wait, so you say that that's a bad move, that his meal's getting cold? He just can't go and grab a fork off of another table?

00:06:58 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I've done it before, but I'm always someone who will, you know, let the waiter know, like, hey, I took the silverware from the table. Because then if they sit somebody else, then that person's going to have the same experience, not have their silverware. And it's a chain reaction, and it happens a lot.

00:07:14 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know what the restaurant was like when your dad did this. But when I'm sitting there, we're one of only three tables, I think, in the entire restaurant in the whole place because we had eaten at an off time. It was like 4 o'clock or 4.15. But it's like the whole restaurant is completely empty. By that point, I would hope that they would realize that there was a mismatch of how many things were on the table. But I get why you just go and just grab it. But it's amazing that the guy yelled at me. What's up, Meg? Hi. Meg!

00:07:47 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

00:07:48 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

What's happening?

00:07:51 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm just picking up Starbucks right now. We're running a garage sale today. I just had to call and comment in just because I've been in the service industry bartending for years. And I was literally heard it on the radio. And I'm like, no, don't do that. Don't do that. The thing is, like, I get you guys don't want cold food, but it doesn't. If you have a good server, your server shouldn't be more than it's there's something called a two minute to bite check back. and within two minutes your server should be back to check on you no um i'm in the wrong yeah we

00:08:20 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

don't we not living by this yeah this rule i'm in this imaginary rule i can't believe this i mean

00:08:26 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 4:

i can't believe that i mean you don't think that the guy was the guy was in the wrong yelling at his customer so i that's what i'm saying he definitely should not have screamed at you but just say hey if you could just wait a second i'll grab you some silverware you don't need to grab it off of a different table there's definitely different ways of going about it definitely not screaming is the right way to go but no i just kind of thought it was funny so i'm like no don't

00:08:46 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 2:

open up another table maggot your garage sale today when i come to it and i pick up that you know i don't know old uh trophy from eighth grade that you got for playing softball and i grab it and say well meg's not around me right now to tell me how much this thing is i'm just gonna

00:09:05 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 4:

take it and go home with it you know see that's why we have a little price tag on every single

00:09:09 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 2:

thing we are very organized where's your where's your garage sale at let everybody know uh garage

00:09:15 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 4:

sale is off of shaner between clinton river and 19 mile all right good luck with everything tell

00:09:20 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

us how you did okay call us uh and tell us okay awesome thank you so much guys have a great morning i can't believe two of the callers that i got here today about you know this thing are saying that i'm the one in the blame what's going on danielle um i don't think you're wrong at all

00:09:37 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 3:

How are you guys, by the way? Great. What's happening? So I don't think you're in the wrong at all. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time, and thank God I have a big girl job now. But when you get out of that industry, your eyes open up. And that guy is just, he's too wrapped up in that world. It was never that serious. Yeah, right, bro.

00:09:57 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I actually, I said to him, this is a Chelsea guy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 6:

really mad she said this was passive aggressive i said hey if you want after i get done eating i'll wrap up napkins for you basically to tell him that i was going to help him with more chelsea's like that was really kind of thing yeah yeah she said that was a really mean thing to say keith what's up it's mojo in the morning hi oh good morning yeah i don't think you're in the

00:10:19 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 3:

wrong i mean to be honest i do this stuff all the time and i would have went another step further just to be petty, took the rest of the silverware off the table and just took it home with me like I was like that.

00:10:32 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 6:

Now you're stealing.

00:10:35 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 3:

I mean, it's borrowing, Kev. You'll go back.

00:10:39 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 6:

You can bring your own silverware. You know what? I actually know people that do that, that go to a restaurant and bring their own silverware because they don't want to use the silverware that's there. They pull it out of their purse and they got their own little silverware. Isn't that?
