All right. So he is, he's a pitcher, right, for the Toronto Blue Jays, I believe? Yes. Okay. And the story is out this morning that I think a lot of parents probably have an opinion on. And the story is he has come out to slam on his social media, United Airlines, because a flight attendant on a United Airlines flight made his wife get down on her hands and knees or clean up. I mean, she had to get on her hands and knees, obviously, to do it. Popcorn that their toddler spilled while on a flight. So the toddler was eating the popcorn, and as we all know, toddlers and mojo spill food on the floor than in their mouths.

By the way, when I go to the Imagine and I go see a movie, at the end of the movie, Chelsea yells at me because she's like, all right, let's go. And I'm like, I'm eating the popcorn that's remaining on my shirt, underneath my armpit, in my crotch. Do you ever stand up and it just rains down on your body? It's amazing. So the flight attendant told her that she had to clean up after her child, and they're upset. They said that that shouldn't be the case, that they shouldn't have had to clean up. And it brings up a question, and I wanted to go around the room, and then I want to ask the listeners this. Should parents of messy kids have to clean up after them if they're in a public place? Not just a plane, but maybe a restaurant or something like that.

Right. Now, so I want to read some of the comments in this situation because he really ignited a debate here. And from the comments that I read, it was, I would say, 60-40, with 60% of the commenters saying, you know, this is parenting. You need to clean up after the mess that your kids make. And 40% saying, well, wait a second. Like one person said, nobody ever expects a family to clean the floor in a restaurant when kids make a mess. Yes, they do. Which I actually disagree. And another tweeted, flying is a far more expensive service, and it seems they should be vacuuming the floor between the flights at a bare minimum. I guarantee this is not the only debris on the floor of the entire airplane. So people went back and forth about this in the comments section with their opinions. Yeah. It was really interesting.

Okay, so I can tell that the person without a child that's worked in the service industry as a waitress, she was world-renowned at Red Robin restaurants.

Red Robin was definitely targeting children, and I actually started there as a busser. So I started there as the person who had to clean up after your children, and I did that for three years at a kid's restaurant. And let me tell you, you would think it was pretty – I know a lot of parents right now are thinking, I clean up after my kids. No, you don't. No, you absolutely do not. You never do. That is the messiest job in the entire world. And quite frankly, I don't know if I made enough money to clean up your kids' puke. And that's other things that parents left behind. Puke. Oh, my God. That's disgusting. When I tell you parents do not clean up after their children, they do not clean up after their children, ever. I'm talking diapers in the parking lot. I'm talking puke in the booths. I'm talking, like, literally.

Who are these people? Crayons everywhere.

Crayons. Stupid crayons would go everywhere. Nobody would pick them up. Silverware on the floor. It was always like a tornado had gone through. It sucked.

Okay, so let me give you my opinion on this one because I've had the kids. Chelsea and I used to clean up after our children. and the biggest reason why i was too afraid of people calling up the other radio stations in

the morning yes that is a huge part of it actually no chelsea was chelsea was always very good about

that and chelsea knew what it was like like megan to work in the service industry and have to clean up and stuff but um we would clean up but on an airplane it's interesting because sometimes when when the flight's over with you don't really have time it's like i mean i guess it's when they say tray tables up we're gonna land in 30 minutes that's when you should probably start doing it because it seems like once the plane lands and then you're able to get up once the seat belt goes off you can't do anything because people are such savages trying to get off the plane

and they gave they gave her name's sydney they gave her uh like a clorox wipe and then said pick up you know pick up every kernel of popped popcorn and wipe down do you think that they legit this so i don't know that's mean so yeah i mean i i pick up after my kids when we go out because I'm I'm embarrassed sometimes some of the mess they can make I don't know that I do the best job but I definitely am the one that gets down under the table and make sure there's nothing under there I I do have a question for servers because sometimes we have like like Megan for example the the the crayons or like trash you know whatever um I definitely don't take that with me but I'll I'll stuff it all into a glass or pile it on a plate and I don't know if that's good or bad, but I at least try to consolidate the mess. I don't make it perfect, but I do try. I personally

didn't like it in the glasses, because then we have to dig our hands in your backwash to get it out, to put them into the tracoling thing. I don't even care if they're broken or if the tabletop is a mess, but it was always in the cracks of the seats of the booth, on the floor, whatever it was. If you could just put the mess in one consolidated area, I think a lot of people would appreciate it.

I think that that does play a part. I think that, you know, this woman's pregnant and she's traveling with a child. I'm assuming she's probably sitting in first class because her husband's an MLB player.

Was that just a clearing of your throat because you had something in your throat, or were you trying to, like, say something about the restaurant by doing that clearing of the throat?

No, so it was like, I don't want to say it was like a fancy restaurant, but it was definitely a nicer restaurant. And I remember getting down on my hands and knees and cleaning under the table with wet wipes because he had gotten some noodles on the ground. And I was not about to be leaving that for my server. So I got down on my hands and knees and cleaned up, you know, all of the stuff that he had spilled on the floor. I wiped down the high chair after we were done. I wiped down the table. So leaving something for somebody else that my child had made a mess is just kind of crazy to me.

Yeah. No, I agree that, you know, that's pretty much what you should do, right? I mean. It's not somebody's responsibility to clean up after your kids No, absolutely

Oh, nothing And I'm very sensitive about this subject because as a previous cabin cleaner, I know how terrible kids can be on a long flight, especially the red eyes coming in. So most of the time, we only have a three-man crew, and with flights turning over so quickly, we only have, like, five to eight minutes to clean an entire aircraft.

And again, for those people that don't understand, this was on a flight, and you are an actual cleaning crew member from the airport?

I did it for 10 years, yes.

And so if you see cleaners trying to, like, fish upstream while you're coming off an aircraft, that's exactly why. so we have to clean first class and bathrooms first priority and whatever time we have left remaining gets spent on coach so a lot of times the floors get overlooked we try to get the trash off the seats and we run a hokey down the middle and that's it okay so uh this is what did you call it a hokey oh i'm sorry you know one of them little carpet pleaser okay i never knew it had a

I do in certain situations, but on an airplane, you have no room. I just flew with a one-year-old on my lap, and I couldn't even pick up a toy that they dropped in the corner. The guy behind me kept handing it to me because it landed on his foot. There's just no room. You cannot do it. But you bet I was at a hibachi grill, and Mike had spilled rice all over the floor. You bet I was down there with a white bee picking that up.

And then you do the best you can. And by the way, there are some restaurants that have messier-type food. Like you said, the rice is tough to get everything. But Anthony.

This is why I always go to, like, Logan's or Texas Roadhouse, where you can throw peanuts on the floor.

I do, I do. I like that thought. Good morning, Mojo. Good morning, Megan and crew. So we're first-time parents of a 17-month-old baby, Emma, and we go out to eat a lot. So we go out to eat. I know it's going to be a mess. I'm like, okay, that's fine. I'm prepared for it. And every time I always want to sweep, I want to use a broom, a dustpan, to take care of the floor after we're done eating because there's just a mess everywhere, you know? And often I can eyeball it and I can grab it myself if it's accessible. But sometimes restaurants, you can't find a broom, and you ask the server for it, and they won't give it to you. They refuse to give it to you. You know, because it's almost like you're asking them to do their job. You know, they feel insulted a little bit by it. They're like, hey, it's my kid that made the mess. May I use your broom real quick? And I can, most of the time, I don't know.

Anthony, you actually are smart. That's smart. Give me the broom. Yeah, no, no. Here's the smart thing. ask to use it and they'll say no and then you at least made an attempt that's all we're asking for
