back to mojo in the morning mojo in the morning show oh my god i had the craziest thing happened to me so i had to go to a doctor's appointment it's a doctor that i had not been to before and um and i go to the doctor's office which is it it was in uh bloomfield hills and i walk into the office and uh there's like the lobby area that's there and i check in do all my stuff and kind of just kind of sit down and casually wait for my name to be called when all of a sudden the door opens up and the largest man walks in wearing his prison uniform or or a jail uniform from the oakland county jail in shackles okay got shackles all on him and two armed oakland county These sheriff's officers with guns are standing there with the guy. I'm literally. Please tell me you've got a picture. I know. Oh, yeah. You think that that should I have done that? You can certainly take a photo. OK. You think that I could actually just sit there? First off, you know, Shannon, I was keeping myself from trying to crap myself like I was so scared at that particular moment. The last thing in the world I wanted to do was be a star in Con Air at that particular moment. I didn't know that prisoners could be taken out of prison to go to the doctor. I thought they had to go to, like, the infirmary. I would have thought the same thing, too. Listen, I'm not going to lie to you. I thought the same thing, too. So I'm sitting there, and looking over to my right is, like, this 80-year-old woman who I'm like, she's not going to protect me. And then I look over to the left, and I see kind of a huskier-looking lady, and I'm thinking, well, maybe she might try to protect me. And I'm going, holy crap. what in the world is going on here right now. Have you ever seen the movie Con Air before? I have not. It's a TNT classic. Nicolas Cage. I hate Nicolas Cage, you guys. I can't think of anything that would be more exciting than that. I love Nicolas Cage. I can't stand Nicolas Cage. I will never watch that movie. Nicolas Cage is a great actor. I hate Nicolas Cage, too. It's a great movie. Let me tell you what Con Air is about. Con Air is about the convicts on the plane. That's why they call it Con Air. OK, and they take over the plane and land in the middle of nowhere, right? In Nevada or something, right? And they get out and go to some town running around, you know, without their shackles and stuff on. This guy was from Con Air. You know who he was in Con Air? He was the big scary dude from Con Air. He was the guy that you honestly wanted on your team in Con Air. And he comes walking in and he's got his hands up front like this. And he's got the shackles on his legs. You can hear them. And all I keep thinking to myself is I'm going to get called to the back of this thing, which I did.

00:03:57 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 3:

I got called to the back of the office and I'm going to get called to the back of the office and they have to take his shackles off because they have to look at him. And they can't have the shackles on while they're having him take off his clothes or whatever for this appointment. And all I think to myself is when his shackles are off, he's going to overtake the doctor by taking the shackles, putting it around his neck and go like this to him.

00:04:21 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 1:

You are so right. That's the scene in the movie where he takes over and runs off.

00:04:24 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

And then the two guys, the two, you know, which, by the way, one of the sheriff guys looked like he might have been a little portly. And I'm like, oh, this son of a bitch ain't going to get him. Maybe the doctor was just going to do a little peek-a-rooney, a little peek-a-peek-y. Listen, I ain't peek-a-peek-y around him, but all I'm thinking to myself is, why did my doctor refer me to a doctor that does the prisoners? Listen, I have no problem with prisoners. No problem if you guys ever get out on the streets. I'm your guy, Jay Towers. But I do want to.

00:05:00 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 2:

want you to know that that just didn't make me feel good sitting in the doctor's office right because he's not in shackles for like a a theft crime right right right he did something real bad has anybody ever uh had this happen to them before have you ever heather this happened to you

00:05:15 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 3:

hi this happened to me i was actually at the emergency room i was having a miscarriage and And this was during COVID, and they weren't allowing anybody to come in with you. So I was sitting there by myself, and in walked an inmate. They were pushing him in a wheelchair, and two guards were pushing him in and standing with him.

00:05:42 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 2:

So, yeah. And what a traumatic moment in itself for you, and we're very sorry about that. But to bring you to have to have that happen to you with, you know, what were the names of the guys in the Con Air? Do you remember? Look up the names. To the Googles. Yeah. What was Steve Buscemi's name? Oh, Steve Buscemi's in it? Yes. And he's very scary. He's very scary. Steve Buscemi's creepy in every role. Cameron Poe. That's who it was, right? Cyrus the Virus. Cyrus the Virus. That is a great movie. Courtney, are you there? Swamping.

00:06:14 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Hi. Good morning.

00:06:15 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. And, Courtney, you had your own Con Air.

00:06:18 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I did. So my boyfriend's a pilot, so I fly all the time, just hop on a plane with him. And apparently I've flown several times with prisoners. Normally they fly with, obviously, a police officer. They both are dressed in, like, regular clothes, normal clothes. But they will put a coat over the handcuffs so you can't see it. And then as soon as they get off the plane, the police officer will put them in a wheelchair. Sometimes they will chain them to the wheelchair. Sometimes they won't, depending on the circumstances. And they'll wheel them around the airport. And it's pretty weird that you don't notice it. But when you do, you're like, oh.

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

I would kill my boyfriend if he was the pilot on that plane and he didn't tell me. They have to tell him, I'm sure.

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 5:

Well, yeah. He pulled me after the fact because I didn't notice.

00:07:09 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. If he didn't tell me before the fact, I'd kill him. Because if all of a sudden, next thing I know, you know, I'm hanging out. Yeah, and when you cover up his hand, I feel like when covering up his hands like that is when Danny Trejo comes in and puts the keys under there and lets him out. And Mike, Danny Trejo is the greatest scary guy in movies. He is fantastic.

00:07:30 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 4:

And he's like the nicest guy in real life.

00:07:32 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Aaron's on with us. You saw a prisoner at the gynecologist's office?

00:07:38 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 4:
