00:02:15 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh Joe in the morning Chelsea just sent me a text message to remind me that we've got a dinner with some friends and do you guys know people who are like ultra like kind of pushy and never really nice to wait staff like when you go out to eat at places and it kind of makes you feel uncomfortable when they do it they get like a little bit demanding you guys have any friends that are like that at

00:02:52 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 4:

all there was a former associate here at the radio station that would do that and i refuse to go out with him anymore because i did not want to be seen with them while they were being jerks you know so

00:03:02 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 5:

this couple that we're supposed to go out with she is like one of those people that nothing is ever right for her and whenever we have gone out in the past i have told chelsea it makes me feel uncomfortable because we've gone out to some restaurants that are like regular places that we will eat at from time to time but also occasionally you'll get like a person that might be a listener and they might go oh hey i love listening to you and then she's like no problem at all being like real bitchy you know to the staff or complaining about everything And you know what? I'm going to throw this out there because I'm going to ask this question. And you guys can call us up, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I want you to call out your friends or people that you know that are rude to customer service people, like to waiters and waitresses and stuff when you go out to eat. And what do you do if you have to go out to eat with them? Because these people are annoying. And I'm hoping that we don't have to do this. But we also have in studio with us our good friends from Red Robin. Do you guys remember when we did the WeWork at Red Robin and we're raising money for Breaking Entering Christmas Wish?

00:04:09 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 4:

I'm still wearing my staff shirt.

00:04:11 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 5:

I love it. Brian Cook, Liz, in with us this morning. Thank you guys so much. First off, by the way, Liz, what do we call Brian? We don't call him, we call him Cookie. Is that right?

00:04:23 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we call him Cookie around here.

00:04:25 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 5:

We call him Cookie.

00:04:26 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's awesome. That's never going to stop.

00:04:28 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 5:

You're always going to be Cookie to us. I just want you to know that, Brian.

00:04:31 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 4:

No longer Brian.

00:04:32 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

By the way, guys, we raised over $31,000 in this attempt to raise money for Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish. And I know Brian was mad. Brian was like, I wanted to make the announcement on the air today when I got one of those fake checks made. And I'm like, you know what, Brian? The anticlimactic thing would have been to do that. We had to announce it that day and the next day afterwards because people wanted to know how much money we raised.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 2:

How are you? I'm doing good. You doing good, Cookie?

00:05:03 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 4:

You deflated him. He wanted to bring that big check in and surprise everybody.

00:05:07 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Hold on one second. I'm going to ask you real quick a question. Mojo in the Morning Eye, what should I do with this couple that we're supposed to go out with that are rude to wait, Steph?

00:05:16 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 5:

So I'm not really sure what you should do. I just wanted to say that I know the feeling. And I think everyone should have to work some kind of a customer service job. Yeah. because no one understands and they just i don't know i mean i've been out with a couple people that are like that and i've worked in wait staff so you know like recently i went out to breakfast with my friend and her partner and he was asking for things and it wasn't anything like unreasonable but he would ask and then he would wait for him to get something and come back and then he'd ask and wait for him to get something back i'm like dude ask for it all at once he's got other tables He doesn't want to run back and forth for four things.

00:05:57 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 2:

Liz, people hate that, right? The staff doesn't like that. They want you to give it to them right in one swoop.

00:06:03 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

All in one go. Yeah, absolutely.

00:06:05 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. By the way, I hate when people do that, but I also hate when you don't even say thank you when they come back with all the stuff. Like you just assume that, you know, okay, this person is just, you know, they're getting paid so they can do this. What's up, Mojo in the morning? Hello.

00:06:22 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 6:

Hey, how are you?

00:06:23 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

00:06:26 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm just calling to talk about the bad couple that you tend to go out with.

00:06:31 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what do you think I should do?

00:06:34 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so I'm on the receiving end. So I'm a server, and I went out one time. I want to talk to you about my story with my ex's family, and my best friend was serving on them, complained about the food the entire time. I was so mortified. So I called back maybe an hour later And gave her $200 Wow Wow Wait did your

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Did your friend The family know that that was your friend

00:07:06 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 6:

Yeah they knew I told them my best friend She's absolutely amazing Complained to me the entire time I received both ends From my ex-family and my best friend But seriously my best advice like being a server I'm not afraid to like call out my friend in front of the server and it's much appreciated like from a server point of view should I? How about this?

00:07:30 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

What if I do this? What if we get down and get to the restaurant and I excuse myself after I figure out who our waiter or waitress is and then go up to them and say these people are a-holes spit in their food should I do that?

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

What if they spit in yours by mistake?

00:07:46 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 6:

No, don't do that I've done that before too though Like, I've done that before, like, as a server. You spit in their food?

00:07:54 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you spit in their food?

00:07:56 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right. No.

00:07:58 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 6:

No, no, no. Like, I've, like, talked to them about it. It's not a big deal. It happens all the time. And I always end with customers always right.

00:08:06 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, let me just say this. When we waited tables for the cookie over here, Mr. Cookie, when we waited tables for you, I want you to know not one person that came in was, like, in a bad mood. Every customer, even customers who didn't know we were going to be there that night and had to wait a good amount of time for tables, like 30-plus minutes for a table, everybody was in a happy mood that night. I don't know if that's just a testament to Southgate and downriver or a testament to people in the holiday season, but it was great. We had a great time.

00:08:39 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think it was a combination of both. I mean, Liz and Jay and the team at Southgate did a phenomenal job. Thank you, Jay. They were so excited for everybody to be there and the vibe of the restaurant. And I was bummed that I wasn't there You know, COVID got me But being able to watch it on Facebook Live Was awesome Seeing all you guys in your uniforms I think the birthday song was the best that I've heard in a long time Thank you very much, thank you I was telling her, you know, if GMA doesn't work out We got another spot for her Megan, go back to Red Robin

00:09:06 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

Wait, I feel like you just booted me off of the show But you know what, I would gladly go back I miss it, it's a great team there Red Robin truly goes the best My best memories are there My most favorite co-workers are from there

00:09:19 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 1:

They're a truly amazing group of people That I get to work with

00:09:24 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning Hi Would you like to see Megan go back to Red Robin?

00:09:30 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 4:

00:09:31 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

00:09:44 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 2:

00:09:55 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 4:

Well, stop complaining.

00:09:57 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. Thank you. She hung up.

00:10:00 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 6:

00:10:23 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 4:

people there that night line out the door for tables and when when i went in to thank them at

00:10:28 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 6:

the end of the night and talked to the line. They had smiles on their faces. They looked like they were more into raising money for Breaking End and Christmas Wish than even we were in raising money for Breaking End and Christmas Wish.

00:10:38 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 8:

They were so excited that you came back. They thought they were not going to get to see any of you, and most of you went back and said

00:10:44 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

hello. Well, he was looking for bottomless fries, let's

00:10:46 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 8:

be honest. And the gluten-free buns, don't forget those. I was scared he was going to go into my freezer and steal some.

00:10:52 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 6:

They're so good, by the way. They blow away any of the stuff you can buy at a grocery store. I have no idea Why they don't have that at grocery stores Can I ask you a question What did you think about the fact that Spike wouldn't put the shirt on that night

00:11:04 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 8:

Oh my gosh, what was that about

00:11:05 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

I was freezing That was really cold that night And I could not warm up So I wanted to keep my hoodie on But to show there's no disrespect I wore it all morning this morning Look, I'm wearing it right now

00:11:16 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 6:

Proof that he was cold that night was If you saw his titties that night Did you see the nipples?

00:11:22 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 4:

Three different people point out to me You could see my nipples through my hoodie through my sweatshirt.

00:11:28 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 6:

It was unbelievable. Thank you for pointing that out.

00:11:30 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 4:

That was very nice of you, Mojo.

00:11:32 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 6:

Seriously, you were like, poked me in the eye at one point. Oh, you're Red Robins. That's right. Exactly. All right, so what do we got? How much money? What's the check say? I was in the food freezer, too. It was cold. I'm depositing. We got to deposit that thing. I got to grant more wishes next week here, Brian. I just saw Brian hand you another check. Grab it and hold it up because Reese is videotaping this. Hold it up for the aesthetics of this view. This is Jay the intern. Jay the intern. Give it up for Jay the intern. Look at that check. Wow. Look at that check.

00:12:02 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 5:

He absolutely killed himself making this stuff happen, so thanks, Jay.

00:12:05 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 6:

This is what we raised that night, you guys coming out to Southgate, $31,145. And if it wasn't for you, Brian, there would be families without a Christmas this year, and I thank you. I thank your great staff. You run a great show, buddy.

00:12:26 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, thanks. Thanks. I appreciate that. And it's such a great cause. And we work with such great people. And part of our counselor is to help people out, especially when they're in need. And, I mean, I can't think of a better organization and a better program to support during Christmas. So, thanks for letting us be a part of it. God bless you.

00:12:43 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.
