Mojo in the morning. It's something that, Spike, you thought you'd never, ever hear in your life. A sentence that you thought you'd never hear.

Okay. I discovered water dripping from our ceiling last night, and I scrambled to contain the damage. And so I yelled downstairs to Meg, can you come here? I need your help right now. The answer I got was interesting. It was a sentence that I never thought I would ever hear in my life. In fact, it's a sentence I didn't think could actually be put together with the English language. But the reply I got, and I quickly typed it into my phone because I thought this is a topic. Hang on, I just got a tomato and I'm beating the armor-plated Phantom Illusion boss King Armadillo.

What's that?

At this point, I think my girlfriend's having a stroke. I'm like, something's happening. She was playing Kirby on Nintendo. And I don't understand the video game language. I don't play it. But obviously, she didn't hear the urgency in my voice. And I'm like, hurry, there's a leak in our roof, and I need a bucket. But she wanted to finish that game so she could save it so that it didn't lose her progress.

Did she play Nintendo a lot?

Not a lot, but she was comforting her. Her son was home sick yesterday, so she was trying to keep him on the couch and relaxed. And so she was playing with him yesterday because he had a long day at home and was bored. And so she rewarded him with a little video game. But, you know, I'm kind of like holding the roof of our house together here and trying to figure out where this leak's coming from and stop the damage and the drywall's all wet. And I'm getting, hang on, I got to get to this level because there's an armadillo, the boss king armadillo, and I'm beating him right now. I'm like, okay, now I feel like I'm talking to a teenager.

versa you'd be like so what the hell is going on is that meg literally does everything else around the house so it's hard for me to complain about her playing a video game at night after she just cooked an amazing meal clean the whole kitchen didn't you just put a roof on that house yes

oh my god yeah so this was and it was at summertime right i remember that yeah it was 105 degrees so

my suspicion is whoever was in the attic that that morning uh wanted to get out of the attic quickly because it's just a quick little patch that fell off inside where the dryer exhaust goes so i could see exactly what's wrong and i'm gonna i'm sure they'll come fix it i gotta call them but we've i don't want to blame them because they did a good job on the roof and i think obviously with all the crazy ice and snow and everything we've had but really it's been six months so it shouldn't

uh to to do it um well then the leak was going through the light fixture so i was like crap i gotta turn off the power to that that that bulb and everything before it starts to fire so i'm go down to the breaker box and i'm like trying to find which circuit breaker is the one i gotta turn off for the garage lights so then i'm like do the lights go off no she's like wait don't turn any power off i gotta save the power on Thank you.

I'm on this level, and I'm like, oh, my God, I'm going to put her out in the snow.

So it's leaking in your attic, and then the leak is coming down. So how long had it been leaking that it took for that long a period of time to come down?

I can't tell. I noticed because I went out to the garage to get something, and there was a big puddle. I go, where's this water coming from? Then I realized all the bikes were wet, and then I realized, oh, it's dripping from the light above.

Thank God, though, it was in the garage.

Yeah, yeah. So I just want to get it taken care of before anything worse happens inside that attic. I don't want mold or anything. So it could have. I was I was nervous, like a pipe broke or something. So when I saw as a leak on the roof, I'm like, OK, that's fixable. I can get that crew out here. But I hope they don't come while she's playing a video game or else we're going to have to they're going to sit out in the garage till she's done that level.

That's the moment my wife just shuts off all the power.

Let's fix it. alley well then i'm like can you stand at the top of the stairs and tell me when these lights go off so i'm flipping switches she's like well you gotta wait till that so i waited i found something else to do for 10 minutes till she was done that video game and then i'm like stand at the top and tell me i'm switching them all and nothing's happening and you know because stupid breakers nothing's

labeled right so i was like oh what a pain in the butt owning a house sucks it does it's not even worth it honestly i agree with what megan said when she was talking about how her basement flooded Being a homeowner blows

If you're somebody that your dream is to own a house Oh my god I'm going to get killed on this one From David Hall He'll probably call up and go What are you talking about It is a lot of work I'm telling you The idea of having to get Now you've got to call the freaking roof guys back You've got to try to make time for them to come You're hoping that it doesn't We don't have crazy weather in the process Like I knew there was things I needed

I knew when I bought the new house I was going to get a new roof, new furnace, new air conditioner, new windows But then it's all the other little things That you discovered that you didn't know That you didn't plan for And I'm like, okay, I'm budgeted out of here

Living in an apartment, you call the maintenance people And the maintenance guy hopefully comes Or renting from somebody else You call the landlord And then you say, yep, this is your problem I don't have to deal with any of this Sometimes you get stuck with the worst landlords

and then you're stuck in a year contract or whatever.

Yeah, but I'd much rather be in a year contract than deal with what I've had to deal with.

Than a 30-year contract? Trying to sell that?

And then you still have to front the cost for everything that goes wrong. And by the way, my mortgage payment is about the same as what my rent was.

And I'll be honest with you, Mike, on that, about the bad thing. In the case of like this with Spike's garage, I'd just let it keep on leaking. I wouldn't even tell the landlord if the guy, if I tell him once, and if he doesn't fix it, guess what? He's now got a garage.

she's got to deal with when i move out when i was in the apartment two years ago i had after my divorce i had a leak and they were out there the next morning it was there was trucks out there for three days that thing was fixed and i was like god i missed that i i hate you know burning rent and just throwing money away instead of like owning the equity of a house eventually but in the long run i'm like i didn't have to shovel eight inches of snow that stuff was cleared when

i got out the door um yeah who can afford any houses they're gonna be worth anything in the

i don't know because i just i saw a house go up for sale in my dad's neighborhood i was like what that that's not a half a million dollar neighborhood like what is up with these housing

prices yeah it's stupid and whoever gets my house is going to get a brand new house because i've had to do everything so it's going to all be replaced in brand new what's up lana so my husband surprised

new in the ps5 and the harry potter game when it first came out i hate you like everybody else i'm sorry megan lucky so what spike just said about his girlfriend that's literally been me for however many weeks i've had this game now where i come home from work and that's the first thing i go do while he's doing things around the house so you know because it's harry potter it's it's the best game ever and i don't have time to go do the other stuff that he needs for me right
