We're just talking, Megan, about why your friend will not give you the secrets to Harry Styles and Niall Horne possibly doing a song together because she works for a company that has made her sign a non-disclosure. Mike is on with us right now with a crazy story. Mike, how you doing?

00:02:18 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 9:

I'm doing well. Happy Friday, everybody.

00:02:20 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 5:

Happy Friday there, Mike. Where are you from, Mike?

00:02:24 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 9:

Yes. I'm from Liverpool.

00:02:27 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I love it. All right. Thank you for listening to us in Liverpool.

00:02:32 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, well, I live in Northville now.

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, OK. All right. Well, that's all right. OK. What's going on?

00:02:37 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 8:

So the joy of moving to America and moving from one job to another job after two years and getting sued for a non-disclosure and a non-compete. And they took me to court on the grounds that I couldn't possibly do the same job in another company without disclosing secret information. And in the auto industry, non-competes are thrown around like confetti. They don't mean an awful lot. They never get used. But this was done by a group, a couple of guys that worked in the company with me. And they were doing it out of spite because they didn't want me to leave the company. Well, karma is sometimes a long time coming. About three or four years later after this, and it evaporated in court because they had absolutely no standing whatsoever. And it was just simply to upset me. But ripple dissolved about four years later. One of the guys who did it, I was walking into the company that I work for and sitting in the reception was one of the guys who'd been responsible for the lawsuit.

00:03:54 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 9:

Oh, wow.

00:03:55 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 8:

And he was in there, guess what? He was in there to interview for a position. Wow. Which you'll be surprised to hear he didn't get.

00:04:04 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 5:

Karma. By the way, you tell the most amazing story ever. Like, I'm listening to this story going, this is unbelievable. I've got a man with a fun accent telling me a fun story.

00:04:16 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 1:

Because he's from Liverpool. He's told this story in the pub about 20 times.

00:04:19 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mike, on a totally different note, I'm going to throw this out there right now. I just read this this morning. What are the sexiest, smartest, and the most popular accents? So they did a rating system on accents, and they found out some interesting things.

00:04:38 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 1:

Who did they poll? Did they include Megan in this poll?

00:04:41 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

um they they actually should have because of uh megan's probably would be at the top so you're ready for this i love a good liverpool man all right which accents are viewed to be the best worst sexiest smartest sounding and also most annoying um here are the top five america

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 1:

American accents, which you could probably add to this, Mike, because you've been around America. You probably hear people's accents. Top five accents. Southern accents. New York accent. Midwestern accent. Oh, really? New Orleans.

00:05:13 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 2:

Wait, are you reading these backwards?

00:05:14 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 1:

And then Southern California. No, these are the top five. Those are the top five accents.

00:05:21 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 6:

New Orleans is the only one.

00:05:21 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

People like Southern, number one. New York, number two. Midwestern, New Orleans, and then Southern California. Here is the interesting thing about the foreign accents. The British accent tops the foreign accent list. They ranked Boston's accent as the fourth smartest sounding accent in the country. The sixth most liked accent, but the first most annoying accent. I like that because Boston people are annoying.

00:05:53 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

My daughter lives in Boston, so I'm going to bring that up with her.

00:05:56 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

In the ranking of sexiest accents Here we go They say that southern accents Are the sexiest American accents While British

00:06:06 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

Did they do this poll in Tennessee?

00:06:08 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

No because I think southern

00:06:10 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 6:

Southern more than New York though

00:06:12 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 5:

For sure

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 6:

No Louisiana but not southern

00:06:15 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 1:

British accents are the sexiest foreign accents Alright When it comes to attraction

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 5:

What about Australian or French?

00:06:24 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 1:

When it comes to attraction 80% of people feel that accents made someone more attractive so we always joke on the show anytime somebody comes on and talks and they don't sound like they're a Midwesterner that says Kroger's

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

any last one Irish accent turns me around

00:06:41 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 5:

when Wes is around his family and the Canadian accent comes out I even love their eyes

00:06:46 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

who's Wes? oh you're a fiancé I think he said one West I was like wait a second The West Coast accent. 77% saying someone's accent was what attracted them to the person. So they actually, Mike, you should ask your wife, is she also from Liverpool?

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 3:

Well, my fiance is actually from Dearborn.

00:07:09 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. They got a crazy accent in Dearborn, don't they?

00:07:12 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, absolutely, yeah.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 6:

Michael sounds like a news presenter to me.

00:07:16 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Michael, ask her. Ask her if she thinks that your accent is hotter than you look.

00:07:22 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

She has mentioned that at some point, but hey, lots of fun stuff happens in the dark, so it doesn't matter.

00:07:29 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 5:

I do think you get brownie points for an accent. Like if you're an 8 on the hotness scale out of 10, if you have an accent like yours, Mike, it brings you up to a 9.

00:07:37 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh, for sure. It's interesting that you say that. I'm a 3. I reckon it makes me a 5 and a half.

00:07:43 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 1:

It's interesting that you say that. one in three report that they think that their partner's voice and what it sounds like is very important to them that one in three say it's extremely important that their partner have a very nice voice so if you got uh yeah uh hold on a second we got somebody from the south on the phone with us right now james are you there are you from the south or are you just commenting on Southern accents?

00:08:09 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm definitely from the South, yeah. I grew up in West Virginia. I wouldn't say like South, but yeah, I'm definitely from West Virginia.

00:08:17 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, even when they say South, I'm like, what's South? There's like eight different accents down there.

00:08:21 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that is true.

00:08:21 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 1:

See, I think West Virginia is not a Southern accent.

00:08:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, there is.

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

I think it's an Eastern Southern accent.

00:08:27 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 6:

No.

00:08:27 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

It's a little Appalachian mixed in, but it's definitely more Southern than Eastern.

00:08:32 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

I want an Atlanta or an Alabama. Like a Georgia Southern drawl. Yeah.

00:08:36 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 6:

But that's where, when you get, like, the New Orleans Creole accent, it's, like, the sexiest American accent.

00:08:42 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 1:

Let's have the battle of the accents here right now. James and Michael. Okay, so Michael from Liverpool, James from what part of West Virginia?

00:08:54 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 4:

The southern part of Logan is where I'm from, but I live in Toledo now.

00:08:57 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you're losing the accent when you just said that.

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 4:

No, he still got it.

00:09:01 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 1:

You kind of lost it a little bit.

00:09:02 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 4:

at me. Yeah, I moved up here about six years ago, so I definitely

00:09:06 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

lost a lot of it. Oh, there you go. It came back a little bit. All right. Let's have the battle here right now between the two of you guys. Michael, if you could say I love women who are naked all the time.

00:09:24 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 3:

I love women who are naked all the time. No, come on. No, come on.

00:09:30 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 1:

No, no. Here's what I want you to do. I'm going to Change this. No, change this. Say, Megan, you are the hottest girl in the world, and we'll let Megan judge this. Go ahead, but say it like you, Michael.

00:09:43 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 3:

Megan, you are the hottest girl in the world.

00:09:46 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Ooh.

00:09:47 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 6:

Somebody please cut that audio for me so I can make it my ringtone just for a little boost every time.

00:09:52 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

Now, Mr. Southern. Go ahead, Mr. Southern. All right.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Hey, darling. Listen, I know you're one of the sexiest women I've ever seen.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 7:

I'm sorry, I can't do it with the answer. That sounds bad to me.

00:10:09 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 8:

I agree.

00:10:10 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 7:

Say KP instead, please. She loves her Southern voice.

00:10:15 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 8:

No, hold on. Yoshi wants to be added to this list because he wants an Arabic accent to be added to this list. Hi, Yoshi. Yes, sir.

00:10:23 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

Yes, sir.

00:10:23 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 8:

How you doing there, Yoshi? Nice to have you on. What's going on?

00:10:29 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

Not much, man. I just wanted to say when my wife speaks Arabic, she's not allowed to speak it because she is horrible, horrible, horrible with it.

00:10:42 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 9:

What do you mean? You don't like when she speaks her native tongue because it's less attractive to sound?

00:10:49 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 4:

She doesn't know how to speak it.

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 9:

Oh, she's trying.

00:10:53 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 8:

Yoshi, Yoshi, where are you from?

00:10:57 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 4:

Dearborn.

00:10:58 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 9:

Are you Syrian or Lebanese? What are you?

00:11:01 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 4:

Lebanese.

00:11:02 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 8:

Okay. All right. Say Megan is the hottest girl I know.

00:11:08 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Megan is the hottest girl I've ever heard. That was pretty hot.

00:11:18 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 7:

I didn't like how it kind of came off like it was a question, but, you know.

00:11:24 - 00:11:24 | Unknown:

I'll take it.

00:11:25 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 7:

I will take it.

00:11:26 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 9:

Well, he didn't want to say the sentence we gave him, Megan. He said, well, you pay for my parking. I don't understand what that meant.

00:11:32 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

No, so you guys got to understand. So we grew up here, and we barely know how to speak our language.

00:11:40 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 9:

Right, right, yeah. Accent's kind of dying off with the new generation.

00:11:44 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 8:

Which language do you find the sexiest, Yoshi? Mike's or James?

00:11:50 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 4:

Well, let me tell you something here. I don't find no man.

00:11:56 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 8:

I can't answer that. All right. Mike, James, Yoshi, thanks. Yes.

00:12:02 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 4:

However, hey, I love Megan's voice. I love Megan's voice. Oh, Megan.

00:12:07 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 8:

What kind of accent do you think Megan has? That's a Toledo accent. Yeah.

00:12:13 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

Megan has that sexy cowboy American accent.

00:12:20 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 7:

Thank you so much. Because my friends just ridicule me for being so Midwestern when I say I'm so happy.

00:12:26 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 8:
