This is like an orgasm in a cup.

Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:02:48 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Hope you had a good weekend. It is nice to have you with us this morning as we kick off a new week of shows. Good prizes up for grabs. More Taylor Swift tickets for you. More chances for you to win. Keep listening. We'll have those for you at 6.30 and 9.30. plus tickets to go and see future Kodak Black Jeezy at our big show for our sister station, FM 98 WJLB. And I think this might be like the last week of qualifying for free groceries. I could be wrong. Maybe we've got another week of that. But still, I hope it goes on forever. It's like $250 in free groceries and then qualify for $10,000. Keep listening for that. I'm just kind of getting situated in here. I left on Friday, and, you know, the studio that we use, not a lot of people use this studio. You know, it used to be that, you know, your midday show would come in, but because we stay so late, you know, we're usually here until like 12, 30 or so. Sean Streif, who does middays for us in Detroit, will use another studio. and then uh you know our afternoon night shows are from other cities uh uh joe show from tampa and ej from los angeles but i come in here and it's a freaking mess and i and i think it's because it's the tiktok studio for uh for uh kp and uh and sean i come and like stuff's missing i can't move it's like stop at me all right when we move into this new studio if you guys behave the same way i'm gonna have a problem we're gonna have to figure something out maybe we're gonna have to find like a green screen for you guys where it's like a fake studio for you to do your tiktoks from i think it's a ghost it's a ghost is that what it is listen i i love your tiktoks by the way i do love them and i don't i don't want you to stop them or get discouraged doing

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 1:

them but every time i come in it's like a button's wrong our voices guys are machines still is not the same i still can't figure out the setting somebody moved a setting on there and i don't understand why anybody would need to touch a machine unless they've accidentally bumped up against it or something i don't know is it could that be the possibility do you think that maybe and i'm not blaming it on gina the cleaning lady but do you think that somebody maybe she was dusting it or do you or do you think that you but you moved it uh or sean moved it doing their

00:05:29 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 3:

tick tocks no i genuinely think this place is haunted is it okay well it could be it could

00:05:36 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

very well be could be the the ghost of past people that worked here at the uh at the radio station

00:05:43 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 2:

that are are coming back to get get us could you imagine if a ghost came back and that's what they did right all the things a ghost could do they touch the voice machine i was thinking the ghosts of past staff members would be very mad disgruntled and angry and like they they would do a lot more

00:05:59 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

than that i'll show you next time somebody calls up to tell you a confession or comment on a war of the roses their voice setting from 312 to 718 but uh yeah it i don't know i listen i i do want I was talking to Fred from Chicago yesterday about this. I said to him, I go, hey, does anybody else use your studio? And he said, no. He said, it's just ours. And I go, oh, because I think they're going to let. Oh, that was breakfast. That was my egg bite. Could you taste it over there? A little bit. Fred told me that nobody uses it, but I think that they're going to have, you know, multiple people that are going to use our studio. So I think that even like the afternoon shows on our sister stations and stuff are going to be using it.

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Must be nice to be Fred. Fred. I know.

00:06:55 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

I almost killed myself yesterday.

00:06:58 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

Dang. What happened?

00:06:59 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys go out at all in that snow in the morning?

00:07:03 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

I did, but it wasn't that bad. I only went about five minutes away.

00:07:06 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So I became our neighborhood DoorDash driver. I went to go get Starbucks and McDonald's for neighbors. because if you went on to DoorDash to try to order something, it was like a two-hour wait because the weather was so bad and an upcharge, which it should have been. And actually, I should have charged big time. So I go out to go and buy stuff, and I'm driving through Waterford. And where I live, there's all these little windy roads as you're going around Elizabeth Lake and stuff like this. and I slid three times into like curbs or three times into the intersection as the light changes because I was and I was driving fairly slow like the the actual speed limit was you know 40 miles an hour I was probably going 30 or so I probably should have been going even less than that but it was really scary the the driving and the snow was really slippery and there was a lot of ice and then Did you notice how the snow became really wet snow later in the day?

00:08:10 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and then that freezes, and it's all terrifying, 100%. Coming in this morning, I couldn't believe how many cars were off the roads in the ditches. It was insane.

00:08:19 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's because people like me, they're out getting DoorDash deliveries for neighbors and stuff like that. I don't know why I decided—

00:08:28 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

Record-breaking storm comes today!

00:08:31 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't know why I was deciding that I was going to be the nice guy that was going to do this whole thing, but I really wanted something, and I didn't want anybody else going out.

00:08:40 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what is this nice streak that you've had recently? It's weird.

00:08:43 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

It's something. I almost killed myself, but shoveling. Did you? It was that heavy, wet snow, and then once I cleared the driveway off, it all melted, so I thought, oh, good, we're all in the clear for tomorrow. It's all gone. And then whatever happened overnight froze, and they didn't treat the roads in my neighborhood, so it was like an ice rink this morning.

00:09:01 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 1:

And, you know, they tell you that if you're over 40 years old and you're shoveling a snow, you're at high risk of getting a heart attack.

00:09:12 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I'm also at high risk because all I did was lay on the couch all weekend, so I need to get some exercise.

00:09:16 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

But I see that, and every time I see that, that's my excuse to Chelsea that I can't go out there. Because they say men are at high risk, and I'm like, I'm sorry, Chels. Send Luke, or you might have to go out there and do a little shoveling. I'll go get the Starbucks and McDonald's and kill myself that way. The other thing that I noticed, and listeners, you'll have to tell us if you do this. I'm sorry. Let me get the shovel stuff off. I started noticing yesterday that it's back because, you know, we haven't had snow at all. It's been virtually like the driest January that we've ever had, and there hasn't been any snow. but yesterday it is back like

00:10:00 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 4:

popular demand by popular demand the trend that started a few years back and you probably see people doing this on social media and stuff the trend of putting people your windshield wipers up are you a person that does this do you put your windshield wiper straight up and and make sure

00:10:21 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 2:

that they don't get stuck in by the snow i do if it's an ice storm coming if i know it's gonna be a lot of ice that they might stick to the windshield i feel like and i don't and i feel

00:10:29 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 4:

like i'm the only person that doesn't because if you drive by you see people do this and this great debate has happened before where people will say that it's not necessarily good for your windshield wipers to do that i don't care you just don't want to have to it's not good for it they say that it's they say that there's some kind of a spring problem that could happen i don't know

00:10:50 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 6:

how much is it going to cost to replace windshield wiper springs no no it's not the blade that you're

00:10:56 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

replacing it's the whole thing yeah i don't know i could never had to replace that way too

00:11:01 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 1:

responsible for me i'm usually the person with all the snow on the top of my car like flying off on the highway you're that guy i hate you i hate you so much do you also drive with just the

00:11:13 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 4:

little bit that you could see out and it's like you're looking at a pair of binoculars because

00:11:18 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

that's all you could see is for your eyes yes one time in high school i had to roll down my window and stick my head on the side because I couldn't see. I forgot my scraper.

00:11:27 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 4:

KP, I'm like that too. And I have no patience. I'll try to warm up the car for a little bit,

00:11:33 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 3:

but I always feel like the car warms up faster if I'm driving fast. See, I'll scrape it, but I'll use a credit card, so I'll have a credit card-sized scrape on my windshield, and that's it. That's all I can see out of. And then the next time you try to use that credit card, Mike, does it work? No, so I'm not fixing the windshield wipers anyways. Yeah. It's like ant.

00:11:54 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 4:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Okay, so here you go. Leaving your wipers up, according to this auto zone, and we all know, get in the zone.

00:12:07 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 6:

Auto zone. Thank you. I got you.

00:12:08 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 4:

Leaving your wiper blades up will not cause damage to your wiper arms. Springs and the metal used for them are designed to handle the stress of being upright overnight. When upright, a spring will not reach its yield strength or dynamic range, says the... Well, this is what autos... They're very smart at AutoZone. They figured this whole thing out.

00:12:31 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 2:

That's Big Wiper telling you they want to replace more wipers. Shut up. Big Wiper. They don't want you to do that because they want you to come in because you broke your wipers.

00:12:39 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 4:

But I think they're telling you that it's okay. And they say the proactive measure is only dangerous on windy days that the arm could snap off from the force of being up and the ice on the bottom when you try to put it back down, according to the site.

00:12:57 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 6:

Now, I don't know if it's BS, but I heard that you're not supposed to do it because if it slams back down, it can shatter your window with how cold it is.

00:13:04 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's the thing I will do sometimes, and I will slam it so that the ice comes off of the little blade. Yeah, I do that, too.

00:13:10 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 6:

But also, I want an excuse to be late to work, and a shattered window is a great excuse.

00:13:15 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Listen, if your window shatters from that, there's problems because there's other stuff driving on these highways. Here's an interesting thing. They do say don't put plastic bags over your wiper blades, that that's not a good idea, that they could be frozen stuck to it.

00:13:31 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 2:

Who puts plastic bags? Yeah. That's so goofy.

00:13:35 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 4:

I don't want my wipers to get wet. um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what's up amy hi good morning good morning what's going on

00:13:47 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 5:

not only do i put my wipers up but i have a cover that i put over my windshield as well because i have zero time for the bs in the morning really where do you find one of these covers that's an interesting thing i got mine on qbc actually i think i had got one for a christmas gift and then i wore that one out so i re-bought one for myself it's a life changer i

00:14:10 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 4:

use it at work when it's what's it called is it called a windshield cover um let me see i think

00:14:16 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 5:

you can just if you just type in when windshield snow cover it'll come up there's like little

00:14:21 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 2:

straps that hook around your mirrors yeah i saw those before and i always wondered if they worked

00:14:26 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 5:

or not oh i use it i have used it every winter for probably seven years and then where do you put it once you take it off in the morning um you just roll it up and it can lay in your back seat

00:14:36 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

or in your trunk oh throw down your kids in the back seat that you know what is uh interesting is the worst part of being a boat owner is trying to put covers back on boats right i don't know if

00:14:49 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

i want to be putting it on my windshield kaylee what's up hi good morning guys so um kp called me and i texted and i do the same exact thing as kp oh she was looking for a little

00:14:59 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:15:00 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 6:

company. She wanted somebody to stick it up for her.

00:15:03 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. 100%. I feel it. That previous caller was like, I don't have time for that BS in the morning. Well, I just don't have time for that BS. I'm not spending money on a windshield cover. I'm just going to drive with the snow, you know? Ain't nobody got time for that.

00:15:15 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 6:

I get it. We're cursing behind you. Kaylee, have a great

00:15:20 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 1:

day. You too, guys. Bye.

00:15:22 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 6:

What's up, DJ?

00:15:24 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? I wanted to call and tell you that you're supposed to leave the wipers off the windshield so they don't breathe to the windshield, you know, because peasants like myself can't afford vehicles with the heated wiper option. That's true.

00:15:39 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 6:

So that's the smart,

00:15:41 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 1:

you're the smart one. Yeah, and it's perfectly okay to do that, I promise you. You won't hurt anything and they won't come slamming down. That's why those springs are in there the way they are. They have high enough tolerances to keep

00:15:53 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 5:

them up. We have to say the one thing we have to say every year, you don't pour hot water on your windshield. Don't pour boiling water. That's not going to melt it. That's going to shatter.

00:16:03 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 3:

My brother did that one time while I was driving. He reached out the window and did it while I was driving.

00:16:08 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 6:

Hey, DJ, question for you. Later today when the show is over with and there's ice and snow on Megan's Jeep, should Spike, Reese, myself, Mike be gentlemen and should we clean her window off of her or is she on her own?

00:16:24 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 1:

I think Megan is a very strong and independent young lady. That's right. She should have a scraper in her car. TJ? Just like myself. So I keep a scraper so nobody else has to deal with it.

00:16:35 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 5:

TJ, why do you hate me? Why?

00:16:37 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 1:

I love you, Megan. But I also think you should go ahead and take care of that, you know? Here's the thing.

00:16:42 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 7:

I am a strong, independent woman. But, like, when the garbage comes out, not when it comes to scraping my own window. I need help. It's so tall. And then my shoulder hurts. I'm not strong enough. I can't do it.

00:16:55 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm working now. Exactly, you get it.

00:16:59 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 6:

Thanks for the call, buddy. Have a great day. Have a good day.

00:17:01 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 8:
