mojo in the morning so a week ago on the show spike came in to tell us a story about how he mentioned over the thanksgiving holiday how he had the most amazing pie ever matter of fact I think you might have said that it was the best key lime pie that you have ever eaten in your life. Thinking nothing of it because it was a very tasty pie, you actually, in the process, offended your girlfriend. For those who don't know, Spike's girlfriend's name is Megan, just like our Megan, but not Megan. and you talked about how she then made you a pie to prove that this pie that you ate was not the

00:02:52 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 5:

best pie ever that her pie was the best pie ever okay so and you there's my meg so so my girlfriend is not the jealous type she is uh not jealous not the jealous type when it comes when it comes to girls she sees me looking at hot girls on instagram and stuff but i made the mistake of complimenting another woman's pie and i realized oh no there's no complimenting another woman's cooking that's

00:03:18 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 4:

where she got jealous yes and i realized my mistake immediately so you said all this on the air and we said well wait a second are you sure that you're being genuine and telling your girlfriend meg that her pie was the best pie ever because you were so excited about this other pie that was made and I'm wondering if maybe you were just fearful of having your girlfriend you know be upset with

00:03:47 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 5:

you well it was really so I said remember that pie remember that woman Tricia who makes pies and it was like the best pie I've ever had and then that's where I realized I was making a mistake because it all came up because Meg was going to make the same key lime pie for Thanksgiving and I didn't realize I wasn't even giving her a chance to show me she can make a key lime pie am I getting this right Meg at all or am I digging myself into

00:04:14 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 7:

a further hole no you made an assumption without you know oh there we go

00:04:20 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 4:

he made it okay say what you were going to say again

00:04:21 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 7:

yeah he made an assumption without accuracy without experiencing the other side so I had to he had to experience your pie

00:04:31 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 4:

is your pie by the way Is your pie more fruit-filled? Is it more...

00:04:37 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 7:

I think it's more decadent. More decadent? Yeah.

00:04:40 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 4:

You have a decadent pie?

00:04:41 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

00:04:42 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Wow.

00:04:43 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 7:

I saw it. I saw that pie. It's a little tiny. Who are you? Oh, this is the pie lady. This is the pie.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Her pie is tiny.

00:04:51 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 7:

Did you see it?

00:04:52 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 4:

It's a tiny... I like it. I'll be honest with you. I like everything big, so I like big pies, but...

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Mine's a little fluffy. I saw them side by side a minute ago. Mine's a little fluffy.

00:05:00 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 4:

Yours is fluffy. Yours is a little small. Wow. Is that homemade?

00:05:03 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

Can we side-by-side your pies next to each other so we can just see what they look like side-by-side?

00:05:08 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 4:

Let's do a physical piece. I'd like to do it. Let me tell you about Trisha. Let me introduce Trisha.

00:05:13 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 2:

First off, let me introduce this contest that we're doing here right now. It is the Great American Pie-Off. Where we are going to decide this morning Who has the best pie? Is it Spike's girlfriend, Meg? Or is it Trisha who is here with us this morning? Welcome, ladies, to the Mojo in the Morning show right now. It's nice to have you guys here.

00:05:42 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 5:

So I met Trisha for the first time. I got to taste Trisha's pie for the first time. A year ago, I hosted a charity event for Camp Make a Dream, an amazing organization and charity for kids to go off and experience camping, kids who face terminal illness and really in other challenges that would never get to go on camping like they hear their classmates do when they're young. And I was hosting a charity dinner, and Tricia was the chair, put together an amazing organization. She also happens to make pies.

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 2:

Really? What's the pie called? What's your company called?

00:06:15 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

Trisha's Tasty Treats

00:06:17 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

Trisha's Tasty Treats People can buy these right They can go

00:06:20 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 4:

Where can they go They can go on my Instagram They can message me Or you can go downtown Rochester Did you know that Megan They're sold in restaurants My Pies Wow They're sold to Ralu In Rochester The Hemingway Room It feels like the beginning Rochester Corner Bar Has them Mike

00:06:33 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 2:

This is going to be so good

00:06:35 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

The Westwind Golf Course You know about my pies Megan You heard about them right

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

It feels like the beginning Of a UFC fight Where they're just Staring at each other

00:06:41 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 5:

Maybe I tried to Separate them I set the microphones up on either side of me, but now they're sitting next to each other and I feel like there's going to be a cat fight, there's going to be a pie fight and I'm the one that's going to be in the doghouse

00:06:53 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

at the end of this. Megan, where's our Megan at? Oh, Megan's preparing for the dirty?

00:06:57 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 5:

Is she preparing for the dirty? No, she's bringing the pies in.

00:06:59 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she's bringing the pies in. I don't know why she has to sit out in the hallway. I need her possibly to referee this UFC fight that's about to happen here right now. Alright, so, okay, so Tricia professionally makes pies. Megan, you do this out of love. By the way, Megan, you came into Spike's life, and this guy does nothing but eat, it seems like now. You don't – we only have one room for one fat person on this show, and you cannot be doing this to him.

00:07:27 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 5:

Hey, hey, hey. I'm in shape. Round is a shape. And let me just say, even when I met Meg, remember there was that big lettuce recall, the E. coli outbreak, and I was like, you know what? Healthy eating is dangerous. No one ever died eating a pie.

00:07:43 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

By the way, you work out a lot, right, Megan? Yeah, I do. You're an exercise fan. I know that you love to work out. Oh, my gosh. She boxes you. Has he ever worked out with you at all? Does he ever go to exercise with you?

00:07:55 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

He's really good at lifting a giant pint of beer. Is he? Yeah. He's great at that.

00:08:01 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 2:

So he's never gone to the gym with you or been to the gym with you?

00:08:04 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, when we first started dating, we did some dates at the gym.

00:08:07 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Really? And what would you do while you were there?

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 5:

No. Yeah. I actually worked out.

00:08:12 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Would he talk the whole time? He was trying to be on his best behavior before he figured out if he can get you or not.

00:08:17 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, in the beginning. Oh, yeah. He'd go to the gym with me all the time. But, you know, then it kind of slowly petered off. Okay.

00:08:23 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 5:

Then we moved in together, and now she's cooking for me all the time. And I've already determined it's not even 2023 yet. And I already know I'm going to be wearing a T-shirt in the pool next summer. Unbelievable. It's already bad. Yeah.

00:08:32 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

All right, so let's get to this right now. Megan, are you ready? Are Megan? Yeah, I'm ready. Megan, does this bother you still that you now have taken second fiddle in Megan's?

00:08:40 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 4:

I've always been the second fiddle my entire life, so really I'm just used to this at this point.

00:08:45 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

No, you're my number one, Megan. Megan, how's your pie, by the way?

00:08:48 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 5:

Your pie goes? Megan, you're my number one, too, alphabetically in my phone. Because you spell it weird.

00:08:54 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

All right, so this is a battle between Spike's girlfriend, Meg's Pie, and Trisha from Trisha's Pies.

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

Trisha's Tasty Treats.

00:09:03 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 2:

Trisha's Tasty Treats in Rochester.

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

What is this? They handed me this and said it's a blindfold. Is this Santa's belt?

00:09:09 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 2:

That's it, yeah. Santa. Santa's outside holding his pants up right now. Megan, can you tie this around his back? Not my neck. Tie it around. Not my mouth. Megan, show Megan. We're going to have to. Megan won, Megan. So tie that around us. So tie that around here. And what are we on right now? Are we just taping this or are we Facebook?

00:09:32 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Should we hop on Facebook Live?

00:09:34 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 2:

You know what? This might not be a bad Facebook Live.

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 1:

We'll hop on Facebook Live.

00:09:37 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 2:

Have we Facebook-lived in a while or no?

00:09:39 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 1:

Well, we did our live stream for the delivery this morning. Okay, let's do it.

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's do it. And then when we do that, let me reintroduce this to the audience on Facebook. We're doing the Great American Pie off right now. Nope. Any of our listeners? Hey, any of our listeners? Would you like to? Whose pie would you like to taste? Hello, Mojo in the Morning.

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

The funniest part is you're blindfolding me with some sweaty Santa belt, but I didn't see the pies or who carried them in.

00:10:08 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 3:

Facebook Live, welcome. Real quick, let me do this big intro here. We're right now doing a pie off. Spike, his girlfriend Meg, her pie versus Trisha's Tasty Treats pies, which Spike has said before was the tastiest key lime pie ever until he had his girlfriend Meg's pie, And then he said he'll never put his face into any pie ever again if it's not Meg's.

00:10:34 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 4:

And Mojo saw an opportunity to get me in trouble for the whole weekend. Yes. By risking me complimenting the wrong pie.

00:10:41 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 3:

Megan, you know the pie, right? You know the pie? You know which pie is which pie. All right. So let's give Spike the taste of the very first pie, okay? Well, first of all, I need to fork. And then Spike has to tell us which pie he likes as the best pie ever.

00:10:58 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right. There you go. Is this pie on this plate?

00:11:01 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I don't want to give...

00:11:02 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 4:

Maybe you could put it on my fork for me.

00:11:04 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, don't help him.

00:11:06 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

But I can't see.

00:11:08 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 3:

We don't want anybody to think there's cheating going on, Spikes Meg.

00:11:11 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 2:

You got it. Yeah.

00:11:12 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 3:

There we go. Is there pie on my plate? Honestly. By the way, Meg, do you ever feed him too?

00:11:17 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

No, we haven't gotten to that point.

00:11:18 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 3:

You haven't gotten to that point. By the way, you understand you're much younger than him. You potentially are going to... You're going to have to feed him one day and change his diaper.

00:11:26 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

We had this discussion last night, actually.

00:11:28 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 3:

Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to change this man's diapers later in life?

00:11:32 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 2:

I'll probably ship him off somewhere.

00:11:34 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Some more bad, too. There's plenty of places for him, yes. Go ahead. Try it. Okay. All right. Try that pie. Get in there and try that pie.

00:11:47 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Okay, that is a good pie.

00:11:52 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right.

00:11:53 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 4:

That is amazing. I wish I was on the Food Network and I knew how to compliment things 10 different ways like they do. But that is the right balance of key lime tartness with a sweet graham cracker crust. Some kind of whipped something on top. And it's not just the best tasting pie. It's the right texture because a lot of people get the texture wrong.

00:12:13 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 3:

Well, you have to try the other one first.

00:12:16 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm trying to compliment both in case I name the wrong one the winner and get in trouble.

00:12:20 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 3:

Trisha, are you in a happy marriage or relationship?

00:12:23 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, very much so. My husband, Jimmy, and I are so happy. We have two beautiful boys together.

00:12:27 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Because I just want to make sure that Spike has a place to go to if he does the wrong pie.

00:12:32 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay. There's already pie on the floor? Yes. Okay. Megan's feeding me now.

00:12:37 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 3:

This is the second one. All right. Second pie.

00:12:41 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 4:

I just ate the microphone. And now I'm going to get Listeria, E. coli, and COVID.

00:12:47 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 3:

All right. It's the pie off here right now, guys.

00:12:51 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Mm, no. Oh, that one That is light and fluffy And yet it had a lingering sweetness Which I really like Oh, that's amazing Okay They're both good I'm going to risk my life here

00:13:13 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 2:

You better pick my pie, babe

00:13:15 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 4:

I'm nervous because The door on our house has a combination lock And it might be changed when I get home But I'm going to say the second pie Is the best pie

00:13:25 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 3:

The second pie is the best pie Whose pie is that?

00:13:30 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

For sure it's the best pie

00:13:31 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 3:

It's Trisha's pie It's Trisha's pie Wow Oh Trisha's pie Wait I wasn't finished Oh no Oh no Trisha's tasty treats Beats Spike's girlfriend Meg's pie Oh no Maybe Yes Meg I'm sorry

00:13:53 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 2:

So Trisha has an announcement To make though

00:13:56 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

What's that

00:13:56 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

I made both pies

00:13:59 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh Oh no Oh I love it Oh Oh my god Oh that's funny Oh thank god Oh that is good Give it up for Trisha And Meg Yeah Oh the pie challenge

00:14:18 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 4:

That's what I was going to say I was going to say It was hard to choose because I feel like the one I had at Thanksgiving was even better than these, but I couldn't remember them. No, these are both so good.

00:14:27 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 3:

Trisha.

00:14:28 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 4:

Can I take the blindfold off now?

00:14:30 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

No, no, we want you to leave that there because we also are going to let the women beat you with their pies. I also want to keep the rest of the pies. Can we throw the pie in his face right now? Meg, will you give him a little pie challenge? Wow, that was unbelievable.

00:14:45 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm sweating because I seriously thought I was going to be in trouble.

00:14:48 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 3:

That was unbelievable, you guys. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

00:14:51 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 4:

I'm eating both of these, by the way.

00:14:53 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 3:

By the way, what a plot twist. That was like the plot twist of plot twist right there. That was amazing.

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

That was a mean.

00:15:00 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 9:

scan, a little prank you pulled on me, but also thank you because, Tricia, you probably saved my relationship.

00:15:06 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 8:

Tricia, where can you get your pie?
