All right, it is Mojo on the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500. So I got a phone call yesterday from Ashley Nix. I miss her. From the Joe Show. Ashley, you can hear her afternoons on Channel 955 in Detroit. She calls me up and she says to me, she goes, bruh. She always has like something like that. Hey, my baby. Like she usually will come. I'm like doing my Ashley impersonations. and she says, I need no, you know, the drizzle or whatever the heck. I don't know. The tea. No, she didn't say tea. She always says that. She had something else. But she did say spill the tea at the end, but she said she needed to know something. So I said, what are you talking about? And she said, there's a mutual friend of ours that she said she is convinced is getting a divorce. And I go, okay, tell me more because I have not heard that this person was doing this. And then she said, I have gone through their social media and I noticed that they are now no longer following their person, that their person, and I'm going to keep it very vague so that you don't know if it's a man or if it's a woman, is not in any of their pictures. They've been deleted off of their social media. And just recently for the last, you know, big holidays that were going on, it was a picture of them and just their kids. And I go, wow. And so I don't know if this is the case or not, but I'm going to try to do some investigating today. But she gave me a great topic by doing this. And that topic was, how did you know that a friend or family member was getting a divorce or breaking up before they ever even told you?

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so, side note, is this somebody we know?

00:03:17 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 3:

You guys do know.

00:03:19 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 1:

Who?

00:03:20 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 3:

I will tell you off of the air. Okay.

00:03:23 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 1:

Group chat it. Group chat it right now.

00:03:25 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 3:

I will, I will, I will, you want me to?

00:03:30 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 2:

The follow, unfollow is always a huge sign. Because I'm wondering Oh sorry No it's okay And the removing of pictures Or tags or whatever Is also a very big sign

00:03:42 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 3:

That tempts him up Yeah I think social media Is definitely one of those So I think social media Is one of the Oh yes One of the ways Yes

00:03:51 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 2:

Really Well yes

00:03:53 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh really you know Confirmation Okay Do what's that Mike?

00:03:58 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say Megan do you remember When we It was an old co-worker And we both noticed on their social media that all of a sudden he was posting with other people and it was very questionable like stories and like why is he hanging around with other girls and then all of a sudden it turned out yeah he in fact was getting a divorce and it was a whole thing

00:04:18 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 2:

I remember when I was going through my divorce and you guys all knew it but nobody else knew and I really stopped posting photos of you know my ex-husband and it's funny because people have eagle eyes and they were asking is everything okay Like, I feel like I haven't posted a photo of the two of you guys in a really long time. And they were spot on. But I was not ready to come out with that information.

00:04:42 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 1:

I also think that's sometimes the hard part of our job is, like, sometimes I have, I know this is a little bit different. It's my brother, not a significant other. But there have been times where he and I have not spoken for three months. And, like, I will not post about him. And people don't necessarily know that or they'll catch things. But there are other times where it's just like I want privacy and sometimes There's a mean comment and I don't want people Talking about my loved ones That way and then they'll keep reaching out And being like is everything okay Everybody's so observant

00:05:14 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 2:

But this is the thing I want to know The when did you Because it doesn't have to be social media We've talked about the social media part What are the other things? What are the other signs That you started realizing that the people That you know were not in their relationship anymore. Becky, what's up?

00:05:32 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I was just going to say that the telltale sign, you did say not on social media, but the telltale sign on social media is when the female drops her last name and she just becomes like Nicole Lynn. Yes. Or that is like, it just happens all the time and then you see it and then like a month later, you're like, oh, that's why.

00:05:52 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

00:05:53 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Pure sign right there. What's going on? Lena, hi.

00:05:58 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 5:

I just wanted to make a comment and say y'all are real funny. I like how everybody chimed in. Like, who is it? Who is it? Send it in a group chat right now.

00:06:05 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 2:

Because you know why? We're nosy. We are nosy. We're just like you, Lena. We know you would do the same, wouldn't you?

00:06:13 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I wanted to know who it was, too. I wish I knew y'all.

00:06:19 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, thank you for the call. We appreciate it. What's up, Beth? How you doing? What's the sign, Beth, that you knew that somebody was going to be breaking up?

00:06:28 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 3:

Um, the whole pictures thing, because I did that when I got divorced, uh, almost a year ago.

00:06:33 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 2:

But why do you get rid of all the other pictures though? Explain that to me about why, cause that's part of your history. Don't you want to have it documented?

00:06:41 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

I do agree. So I will say I got rid of the pictures of our wedding. Um, and then some with like the cutesy quotes, but we do have a son together. So he will always be a part of my life, whether I want him to or not. But he will always be there. So I didn't delete everything, but I just stopped posting. And it didn't take too long before, you know, I had some people asking. But people are nosy, just like all of us. Oh, yeah. When you find out someone got divorced, you want to know why?

00:07:15 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you kind of have an idea. And I think that's the thing with Ashley Nix is that when Ashley called yesterday, I could not even think of this particular person in the relationship or any of that stuff. But then all of a sudden I was like, I got a deep dive and I got to figure out what's going on. Ashley, the caller on the phone with us right now, not Ashley Nix. What's going on?

00:07:36 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I just wanted to say that my friends, usually before they remove their significant other off of Facebook or social media, they start posting what I call meltdown memes. And they like a back-to-back post like about feelings and about, you know, if they're doing this, then you need to leave them. And you can always tell that there's trouble in their relationship when they start posting their meltdown memes.

00:08:00 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that great? I love the name. That is so good. Kat, what is the sign for you, Kat?

00:08:10 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 7:

Oh, gosh. Our friend group has, like, a weekly hangout thing. And then one of them just stopped coming every week. And they'd come up with, like, little, like, vague excuses as to why they weren't there. And then they would stop sharing stories about each other. And it was just very obvious that the distance was increasing. It was really awkward.

00:08:31 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, that that seems like a good when the people stop going to events together or there's, you know, one of those things where it's like an obvious like family function and it doesn't happen. Olivia does something very interesting. Listen to how she checks to see if her friends are in a relationship and not getting a divorce. What's that, Olivia?

00:08:53 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you guys?

00:08:55 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

00:08:56 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 5:

So in old typical fashion, women are secret FBI agents. When you get suspicions, I will go onto any court record, Macomb County, Oakland County, and I will look up their names and I will find all the details in the juicy gossip that they're getting a divorce.

00:09:13 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 2:

You actually will go into the public record to see.

00:09:18 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I do that quite often, especially with family members.

00:09:21 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 2:

You don't do that right away. You actually have probably one of these other suspicions like the social media one that comes up and then you say something, right?

00:09:27 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 5:

Well, yeah, like when they're constantly posting quotes and things like that, I'm like, something's not right. And then I will go check public record. And sure enough, there's a divorce and more juicy gossip and details that are posted on public record.

00:09:42 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 2:

I had no idea, by the way, that all that stuff was public record. Oh, it is.

00:09:46 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

And honestly, I feel like it's so weird that it is.

00:09:50 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:09:50 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 1:

You know, like it shouldn't be. I feel like that's so personal.

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

I don't understand why that is. Why would they need to have to make that public record? Because it doesn't, isn't nobody.
