All right, Mojo on the morning show, the text that almost ruined Shannon's marriage.

00:01:37 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so we were, we being Wes and I, actually when this happened, Luce and Smith were home because it was a lot of people in our bed. All four of us were in the bed and Wes was doing some work on his computer and he has it set up kind of like mine. Mojo, I don't know if yours is too because he has an Apple where you can see like whatever it is that he's working on, but then you can see like his string of text messages on the side of the screen. Do you have that? So I have that. I do have texts that come up. So he can be texting at the same time as he's working on whatever. Yeah. And I see, because it's right there. So I happen to look over and I see in the string of text messages. Yes, we do love you, Wes. One from a random number. And this is what the person had written. Thank you so much. And then a little red heart. You look hard as in. Well, that's right. there so i point to the number it's like a 510 area code and i go who is that who is that and he clicked into it and it was the only message in the conversation so to me it looked like a text string right had been deleted and that was that came through and that was the only message in

00:02:48 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 3:

there in the heart and the red freaking heart wait i just googled 510 oh i googled it too And 510 says, the East Bay region of San Francisco, California. He was just over there, wasn't he? Wasn't he in California just recently?

00:03:02 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So, not that part of California, but yes, he was in California. So, I'm sitting in bed, and the kids are watching. You know, I don't know what they were watching. And I'm trying to play it cool, but inside, I have so much anxiety about, like, this kind of feels weird to me. i google where is the 510 area code now unbeknownst to him like i'm freaking out internally and um it was really bugging me the kids had gone to bed and i think he could tell that something was up and he asked me you know what's going on and i finally admitted to him that it like i just was feeling a certain way about it it was making me uncomfortable and he was like shan the this is one he goes i get these every single day these weird spam messages where they'll text you something and it doesn't even make sense and it's coming from all different random numbers and he's like this is the one i got today and i'm like really okay he goes watch this so he responds back he texted the word huh to this person and what came back was a bunch of i don't know chinese symbols you know and it was chinese symbols eva chinese symbols and he's like it is it's like this

00:04:18 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 3:

spam thing. Do you never get those kind of texts? Because I get those all the time, too.

00:04:22 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 1:

No, the only weird texts that I get are for, like, I need to pay a toll. I'm overdue on a toll or whatever. But I also give a fake phone number for everything, which is why I didn't really get robocalls during the election or anything like that. So now he's been getting them. Like, this was a couple of days ago. He's been getting them, and every day he gets one, he screenshots it, and he's like, this is today's.

00:04:46 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 3:

And poor Wes just to prove that there's nothing worse than being accused of something.

00:04:54 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 1:

Mine not even when your marriage flashed before my eyes in bed that night. And he was like, Shannon. And then, you know, you're in a situation where you feel like you have to, like, especially because you're sitting there and, you know, in bed.

00:05:06 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 4:

And I don't want to make a big deal of it in front of the kids.

00:05:08 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know, but even today, I'm like, kids, it's time for you to go to your room.

00:05:13 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 4:

Should we wear the roses right now with me? Do you want to call him? Yeah, call him. Yeah.

00:05:18 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Wes and I are going to have a conversation. Those things, by the way, suck. I hate those those texts that come in. And the one that I keep getting all the time was, great seeing you the other day. And it's like, great seeing you the other day could be somebody different. But I also realize this. If I don't have their number saved, typically, I didn't give them my number. Because usually what I do is, if I give somebody my number, I always write, I always text them and text them, you know, Tom, my drill name. Hey, it's Shannon.

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I do the same thing.

00:05:49 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Put Mojo in parentheses or something if I read them through radio.

00:05:52 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

And it didn't help that I don't get these. So I wasn't like, oh, it's one of those weird spam messages to me. I was like, who the heck are you texting? And she's texting, you know, or he, who knows?

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Amanda, what's going on?

00:06:04 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I just wanted to share that I get these weird text messages too from like weird California numbers. And it's these girls asking me advice on their adult diapers and they send a picture and I don't know who these women are.

00:06:18 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 1:

So you actually will answer back?

00:06:21 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, cause I'm scared. My husband's like, don't respond to it. It's a spam. And I'm like, okay, but I keep getting them from different, like, girls in, like, a T-shirt and an adult pull-up diaper.

00:06:31 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

I would never, don't ever, don't ever, don't ever respond to these things and don't click on links. Because clicking on links is worse than responding because you just gave them all your access. What's up, Sean?

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how's it going, Mojo?

00:06:45 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

It's going okay. First time, long time. Hey!

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Good time.

00:06:53 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Sean?

00:06:56 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

Not much. I was just listening to what you guys were talking about. And so from my personal opinion, I get them a lot compared to my wife as well. And I think it's because the hack spammers or what I would call hackers know that women are more curious and liable to click on those links just to do a little bit more digging into it. and once you click on them links, they can send malware to your device and type the information.

00:07:23 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 4:

This didn't have a link. It was just the text.

00:07:25 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 1:

Just the text. But they want you to engage so that they'll send a link. So you're saying that women get them more because Shannon doesn't get them at all.

00:07:34 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no. Men get them more because the woman is liable to go snooping, digging into it more. A man will kind of look at it, question it, and once he gets his answer, he kind of just moves on.

00:07:45 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 1:

So because I what I do all the time is when I get one of those text messages, I hit the on the bottom. It will say the spam, you know, thing like report a spam and I'll report it as spam. And I report a lot of those ones. And I always wondered why the cell phone company doesn't ever send you a response back on what why you're getting something like that. You know what I mean? Like I just got one right now.

00:08:05 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 3:

You got to hit the spam on the exact number every time. You know, the cell phone companies literally just got this one. I don't believe they're just going to block numbers randomly.

00:08:15 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

So I got one just now that just said that it said, hi, Thomas, we're doing some work in your area and we'll be pleased to provide you with a free quote for removal of junk from your property. Any projects in mind?

00:08:29 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so that's really weird that you say that because I did get one yesterday about landscaping and I thought it was like a kid in my neighborhood. I'm like, how did you get my number? Which I didn't respond.

00:08:38 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

Underneath it, it says report junk. And I think if it says report junk and then I delete and report the junk. So I just literally just did it right now. I wonder if the phone also, us talking about it, will spur us on to get them.

00:08:48 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 3:

I don't click on them at all. No, they buy your phone number off of lists.

00:08:51 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Is that really?

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 4:

Yes. That's what Nicole says. Can someone else please call in so I don't feel like the only idiot who accused my husband.

00:08:58 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

Did you actually call the person back and say, or did you say?

00:09:01 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 4:

No, he texted the number back just to show me. Right, yeah.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Courtney?

00:09:06 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 5:

Hi, can I just say it's so nice to hear everyone finally back on the radio. Right? Yay. Megan is back. it's such a joy but i get emails that say um i get emails that say if i don't pay a certain amount of money they will expose my camera roll and they will like put everything out which no i i have three kids and two dogs and it's all pictures of my kids and then it's on it's just not good pictures of me and my husband that my kids take and i know it's spam because there is nothing that's going to expose me on there. There's nothing exciting.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

Courtney, you don't ever do a naughty in the mirror?

00:09:46 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't. No, I'm too old for that.

00:09:48 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, come on. You are not old. Stop that. You're never too old for that.

00:09:52 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 5:

I am. How old are you? 32.

00:09:55 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You're prime.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Don't you ever just want to make a deal? Like, for me personally, if you were going to.

00:10:00 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 4:

post my photos like that where I'm in my bra and underwear if you post the bad ones you better post the good ones too that's all I ask show the progress all right Lisa what's up Lisa

00:10:09 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 3:

hey so I have a funny story so one day my boyfriend was doing work on the roof and I needed to use his phone for something and as I'm using it a message comes through and it says hey it was nice being with you and a picture came through of this young lady oh geez it's a picture

00:10:29 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 9:

Shannon would have kicked him off the roof. She would have gone up there and... Lived his car on fire. No, she would have grabbed the ladder and took it away so he couldn't get down. Jump!

00:10:40 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 3:

That was my first thought. So I go outside and I look up there and I got the phone in my hand and I'm like, hey, and I can see it's really busy and I'm like, okay, I'll wait. So another picture comes through and now her top is off. Oh, no. And I'm like, oh, my God. So then another picture comes through and it's showing her butt. And I'm like, what the hell? Her name is the same as mine, Lisa. And so I bring him in the house, and I'm like, you know, is there anything you need to tell me? You know, who is this young lady? Here, it was a spam the whole time, and I literally was freaking out because I thought he knew this girl.

00:11:16 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 9:

Famous words you do not want to hear from your wife. Is there anything you need to tell me? When I ever hear those words come out of my wife's mouth, I am running out of the house.

00:11:26 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 1:

What did he say when you showed him the phone and the photos?

00:11:56 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 3:

or you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing.

00:11:59 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 9:

I can't believe that you let him off the roof, to be honest with you. I was shocked by that.

00:12:05 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was either him coming down or me going up.

00:12:08 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 4:
