This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:00:52 - 00:01:37 | Speaker 1:

My name is Neterica Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and stuff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

00:01:37 - 00:01:44 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. If you do text the show, do us a favor. Pick up your phone call if we call you and you give us a nice text because we want to get your voice on the radio, and you'll see that it's calling from us or an out-of-area number. So just pick it up if you've just recently texted, and you'll say hello to Lydia, and then she'll ask you if you're a first-time long-time, and we would love to shout you out on the radio. It is time now for the Thanksgiving wiener, which is funny because when I saw this initially on our sheet, I thought, I love cocktail wieners. I don't know what it is. we used to for always and we haven't done this probably since I was a little kid we used to have little cocktail weenies that we would put my sisters would put in like relish ketchupy dip or something like that have you ever had those at all?

00:02:36 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 6:

you never had those?

00:02:38 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 5:

I like the wieners in a blanket we would get little toothpicks and you would have to like stab the little wiener

00:02:44 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 6:

do that motion

00:02:46 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 5:

no it's like this with the hand and you stab the wiener but it's not that kind of Thanksgiving wiener

00:02:52 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

This is a real life wiener. Oh, so I hosted Thanksgiving this year. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. And I had my my sister and my nieces and my brother-in-law and my mom all over for actual Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. and you know how after you are done eating everybody kind of changes into like cozy clothes cozy pants and you eat dessert and then like later and it's hours later your fat pants you have leftovers or whatever okay after yeah you're doing before so we like kind of sort of dress up for thanksgiving dinner and then change into cozies and so we were at that stage in the night and it was Wes and myself and my sister Jacqueline in the kitchen and I'm loading the dishwasher Wes is sitting on my kitchen counter you guys have been in my kitchen so you know exactly what I'm talking about Wes is sitting on the kitchen counter and he and my sister are talking about I don't even know what they were talking about um and he's in a sweatshirt and he has on those pajama pants that guys you guys have certain pants that just have like a like a flap there's no like button closure there's no zipper it's just a flat because y'all are lazy like we can actually pull down our pants and you just get to open this like flap okay to go to the bathroom yes anyway so at one point in the conversation I turn around to say something to Wes who is sitting on the kitchen counter and I realize that part of his wiener is sticking out of the pee hole in his sweatpants whoa my eyes got so big and i motioned for him to put it back in because he's talking to my sister i love penises either has not noticed that part of the meat is hanging out oh or she has noticed and she just doesn't want to embarrass him and says nothing but it was clearly there so again

00:04:51 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

you guys are standing around the kitchen counter where you guys at again so i'm loading dishes in

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

the dishwasher. Okay. Wes is sitting on the counter and he's talking to my sister, Jack.

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 4:

so he's like behind me my sister's right in front of me and and it was just just part of it so it wasn't the whole but like part of it was coming out of that little flappy hole are you getting

00:05:11 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 1:

him a trench coat for christmas and some watches he doesn't he doesn't wear underwear uh underneath

00:05:19 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 4:

his uh not with like sweat not with jamas yeah do you uh i don't but my wife thinks i'm disgusting for not yeah why wouldn't you i think you need to air i don't wear underwear at night when i put on

00:05:30 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

my cozy pants i air it out well chelsea thinks i should be wearing underwear because i got guests over so and she thinks that sometimes it will hold it yeah i guess it's just family so wait so do we know if jacqueline saw it i don't know has she said anything about it no Because to me, if in my family, somebody saw another person's wiener, they would have said something. They would have come up.

00:05:58 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 3:

No, I feel like that's the one thing you don't bring up. Like zipper down? Yeah. Yeah.

00:06:02 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 4:

Like booger in your nose? Sure. Yeah, something in your teeth. Uh-huh. Wiener out? No. Shut up.

00:06:07 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 1:

It's like a hip slip. Don't you tell somebody?

00:06:09 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 4:

You tell the same gender.

00:06:11 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:06:12 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yes. Like, doesn't Jacqueline go to her husband and say, hey, can you tell him to put his wiener back in his pants?

00:06:19 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 4:

But if it was my brother-in-law, I don't think, I don't know if I'm going to be like, hey, Rye, your dicks hang out of your van.

00:06:28 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

I would actually, like, I would have texted you and been like, you need to tell him this versus telling him. I just motioned to him, like.

00:06:36 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

What prevents you from wanting to say something at that moment?

00:06:39 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

It feels like you're crossing the line.

00:06:41 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. So it's not the dick out that's crossing the line. It's you pointing it out.

00:06:45 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 1:

Let's call it a wiener. It sounds better as a wiener. Sure. That word's making him uncomfortable today. Quick question. Well, especially because when he does it, he does an aggressive dick. It's like, there you go. It's capital D. It's the R caps. Quick question about Wes's wiener.

00:07:01 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

I don't, okay.

00:07:02 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 1:

Do we know that it fully was the wiener and it was not, it was the frank, not the beans? Like the beans weren't just plopping out or anything like that? Or he's still young enough. He has a firm frank.

00:07:14 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 4:

It was the frank.

00:07:15 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Because for me, sometimes for me, if I sit down on the couch and I think pops open, sometimes for me, it's, you know.

00:07:27 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 3:

It's okay to have boundaries sometimes around here.

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

Jenna, what's going on?

00:07:32 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 7:

Hi. So I just wanted to say about the wiener story. One time, me and my family were up north, and my dad was wearing some Joe Boxer pants. They were like, there's smiley faces on them. and his wiener came out of the flap as well and my sister saw it um and still to this day i send

00:07:52 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

her like memes of hot dogs and things like that oh no uh did she say something like dad put it

00:07:58 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 7:

back in your pants or what did she do no she didn't say anything she just walked out of the

00:08:03 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 1:

room oh my god that by the way that is you know that's crazy uh the yeah the wiener story that And that, again, was at what time of the year? Because this is the Thanksgiving wiener we're talking about right now. Is that an Easter wiener?

00:08:17 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 7:

This was just in the summer. A summer wiener. That was a summer wiener.

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 4:

What holiday was that wiener?

00:08:21 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 7:

The summer sausage.

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

The summer sausage. What's up, Jessica?

00:08:24 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 4:

K.P.

00:08:25 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

00:08:26 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 6:

That was good. Hello?

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Jessica. How are you?

00:08:30 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 6:

Good. How are you? First time, long time? Hey, there. Hey, Jessica is on the phone.

00:08:36 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

Welcome to the show.

00:08:37 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 6:

I hope my husband is listening because he, we had a child with special needs and we had a social worker come over to discuss different insurances that they could provide for him. And we have a sectional couch and he was wearing basketball shorts and he, it was hanging out the side of his shorts and I kept looking at him like, come on, look down. Don't you feel a breeze? And this lady, I know she's seen it.

00:09:04 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God. Are you serious? Oh, jeez. The social worker is over at the house.

00:09:11 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 6:

She'll never forget us.

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

Why did he not dress up in nicer clothes than what he had on?

00:09:16 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, we were, like, running around to clean up really quick. We wanted the house to be perfect. And I guess he just didn't put underwear on underneath. I don't know.

00:09:24 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, if she made a surprise visit, that's what you get for surprise visits to people's homes. Hi, Jen. What's going on?

00:09:32 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. How are you? Good morning. Good morning.

00:09:35 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 1:

What's happening?

00:09:35 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 5:

So, is this another Wes Wiener sneak peek? Because didn't KP see Wes's junk earlier this year? Oh.

00:09:45 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 7:

Let's add some context with that. On accident. I accidentally saw a new...

00:09:50 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 5:

I remember that...

00:09:51 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 1:

She saw just the picture of it. Not a live in-person wiener.

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Yes. This is canon. You've got to get him that trench coat, girl.

00:10:00 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 6:

uh what's going on ben how you doing ben this is ben johnson ben goodbye ben hi amanda hi good morning good morning what's going on amanda

00:10:23 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 7:

so it's not about pointing out the actual wiener it's about making eye contact with the wiener You made eye contact with it.

00:10:33 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 6:

Not the eye contact. Did Jacqueline make eye contact with the wiener? Do we know? We still don't know. I think Shannon should have to call her sister up and say, did you see the wiener?

00:10:42 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 5:

Eye to eye.

00:10:43 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 7:

You can't admit the eye contact. Not admitting.

00:10:46 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 5:

Is it like Medusa? Like if you look at it, you just freeze? Like is that like what happens?

00:10:51 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, especially someone else's that you shouldn't be looking at. Yeah. I was like such a good idea.

00:10:57 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 6:

The funny thing is that women have nip slips all the time. No, we don't. And it doesn't faze people. It's like, oh, okay, you know, yeah, you saw a nipple. This is the wiener, and for some reason it's weird.

00:11:10 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 7:

No, because it's the same thing. Free the wiener. I did not think. I'm so mad that I was talking.

00:11:17 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

Get that, Zach. Free the wiener. They've taken over cities before, but this July, they're bringing the X Games League Championship home to New Orleans. July 24th through 26th at the Superdome. Over 100 elite athletes competing for the first-ever league title. Plus, Metro Boomin', JID, Subtronics, and Bunt performing live. New Orleans doesn't just host the moment. New Orleans is the moment. This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:12:12 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 2:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast these past two years. Things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.

00:12:57 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 3:
