It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:34 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show hello hello hello it's nice to have you guys here with us today ah the weather's gonna be gorgeous i was looking at what the weather's gonna be for our naughty mom's night out i mean i gotta tell you guys something i might actually have to pull out some like dress shorts or something i know it sounds weird to say that i know it's it will be a very scary moment for those that have not seen my legs in a while including me uh but i was thinking it's gonna be like 80 something degrees but i know that the nighttime is gonna you know maybe cool down just a little bit plus we'll be indoors at the daxton hotel trying to figure out what to wear i don't know if you guys got your outfits i feel like one of Now I feel like, Mike, I've left you, and I'm now one of the girls here. You've always been one of the girls. What are you wearing? I have no idea what to wear either. Honestly, you know what I always end up going to, like the go-to, is I call it the Keldean uniform, the Keldean guy uniform. Jeans and a black polo shirt. That's usually. Find the nicest dressy polo shirt that I have, and I'll put that polo shirt on with just a pair of jeans. and that is the

00:05:00 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 3:

is the uh chaldean uh buddies of mine uh uniform that they'll uh they'll wear if they're just gonna go out and hang out with their friends at the uh the rose room or something i don't know um daxton's gonna be fun though it's gonna be a lot of fun megan what are we wearing what do

00:05:15 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

you got going on i uh per usual ordered a whole bunch of clothes that are not gonna get here on time so i am when did you order them um last week okay because i was gonna say i feel like you have the worst luck with that Megan I really do and it came in two different boxes and one ships like the next day yeah oh yeah and it's arrival date is still not until next week and then the other one didn't ship until like five days later and I placed the order all at the same time it was

00:05:42 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 3:

very confusing don't you hate when you get the message that says to you your or your your order has been shipped and then you get all excited about it and then it finally comes in maybe a fraction of the the orders in there like maybe maybe one item of five items is in there yeah

00:06:00 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

i have this really cool app called route and um it'll actually tell me everything i have coming to my house and where it is um from all different kinds of companies like right now i've got a doc martin shipment coming in and a closed shipment and something from um mac and another thing from torrid and an amazon package and it's like all in one place and i really like that that's kind of

00:06:23 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 3:

cool yeah that is cool and also it tells you that you order way too much that you actually have an

00:06:27 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

app for everything that you're ordering or maybe some of us don't live in the best areas and we want to make sure packages don't sit on our porch all the time i understand no listen i understand

00:06:37 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

that but i think you're ordering too much how much are you we're gonna talk dad's gonna talk

00:06:42 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

finances with you a little bit later today how dare i buy summer clothes for the summer Ugh.

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Terrible. Those summer clothes from last summer just don't do it anymore.

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Some of them don't fit anymore. Thanks for bringing it up.

00:06:56 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, come on. You look fabulous. All right. Move off this topic now. Move to something else. So a polo. So a polo, Mike. A black polo. A polo. That's what we're going to. Let me tell you about my day yesterday. So I went to lunch with a friend who I haven't seen in a while and had an opportunity just kind of catch up with them. And I had something happen to me at the restaurant that I want everybody to kind of weigh in on. And that's not just you guys here in our studios. I want you, if you're listening to us, no matter what you're doing, if you're driving, maybe you're a do-gooder and you're going to the gym this early in the morning, or maybe you're going to school or work or wherever the heck you are. I want you to comment on this. So we sit down at the table and we get this waiter that comes over to to wait to you know to to grab our drink orders he's a really nice server I won't say his name because of the poor guy's gonna already gonna get called out for something this guy talked to us the entire time that we were sitting there and now I'm not trying to say that talking is when you're a server is a bad thing you know if you're a server bartender whatever you're in the service industry I love friendly and I love talking I like that better than somebody that just comes and just goes yeah okay you know it does does the grunting type thing you know but it was to a point where at one point I'm not kidding you when I say this to you he actually kneeled down in front of our booth and he put his arms his two arms up in like was hanging on the the end of the the table where he was like making himself comfortable and talking to us about conversation about anything like anything we were getting into and it got to a point where this is no joke he talked so long he had taken our order beforehand and he stood up and he goes all right let me take your order and I go you already took her order like he had already taken our order but he had talking so he talking so long he talked so long that he forgot that he took our order then this is the part where it got crazy because I would have been completely fine with that our order was completely wrong oh no so I'm going to ask this question of of you have you ever had a server that talked so much to you or got so involved in your conversation that when the bill finally came you wanted to split the bill with them you wanted them to actually put a little into it because they were so involved there is a place that I go to with

00:09:35 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

the kids pretty frequently and there's one server there who god love him he's so sweet but he's the same way he just has a lot to say and when i when i see him in there i i have before walked right back out because i'm like i don't feel like talking the whole time and the kneel when you said that i had to laugh because when they do the kneel and put their arms

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 5:

on the table you know it's going to be a while before before your order makes it back to the

00:10:04 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

kitchen their plans are that they are going to have a good conversation and good fun that day they're going to have good company good company has finally arrived there's just a happy medium and the other thing too is and this was the thing i i noticed very talkative with all of his tables so unfortunately you you got him he came back but every time he came back you sat there and you wondered what the other tables were thinking and then you start thinking you ever had this when a server will start talking to you so much. Shannon, have you ever had it where you feel like the people in the restaurant are judging you because they think you're keeping them too long?

00:10:39 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 5:

No, sometimes I'm like, is it okay if I eat my food now? Can I take a bite while you're talking to me? Like if my food has already come? I get random anxiety about that. But I'm like, I'm really hungry.

00:10:50 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. 844-MOJO-LIVE or text 95500. Mike, Megan, what would you guys do in that case? Mike, what would you do? Mike would be, you would be this guy.

00:11:07 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 3:

I was just going to say that. So, hi, my name's Mike. I'm here to sit with you and also, what are you eating today? You like French fries? I like French fries.

00:11:15 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 4:

Do you like when they sit with you? Do you like when the...

00:11:17 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 3:

See, that's the thing is, no, I don't, but I would totally be that guy to, A, chat up the waiter or waitress or the other way around when I was a server, I would chat for a little bit, but I just have a lot to say. I have a lot to talk about, and I'm interested in what they are. I'm interested in them, whoever they are, too.

00:11:35 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So to you, you're good with it, even when you're with the kids and the family. Actually, when I'm with the kids and the family and stuff, sometimes I'd rather talk.

00:11:44 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, my daughter is very much like me, too, and she likes to do the same thing. She'll literally, I have to go, sis, sis, sis, sis, sis. Do you want nachos or do you want French fries? What would you like? Focus. Get to the point right now.

00:11:55 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny is that servers sometimes will come, and they do this with the kids, where they'll find something that they're doing, like a game that they're doing, or they'll find something that Cecily is wearing or whatever, and they think it's cute, and they try to befriend your children because they know that if you keep the children happy, mommy and daddy are happy, and you're going to get yourself a nicer tip at the end of the thing.

00:12:16 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely.

00:12:17 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. What about you, Megan? Thoughts on this?

00:12:21 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 6:

When I worked at a restaurant and I left, I could not go back for years. Because the first couple of times I went back, it was all my old coworkers. And it wasn't just one person that would sit down and talk to you. It was the entire staff that would step by and check up on you. And I went on a date one time, and I maybe said 10 words to my date. And then was like, I don't think we're going to come back here for a while.

00:12:44 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 4:

Because there's too much.

00:12:45 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 6:

Which I love it there, and I love them. But there's a balance.

00:12:49 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:12:50 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 6:

You know?

00:12:50 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, that was the thing with this guy. This guy was great. He was a really good guy. Actually, it was to a point where we really liked him so much that we were like, you should do a podcast. That's always my end goal with things. I always tell everybody they should do a podcast so that they start talking to a podcast more so than talking to me about what they want to do. But Peggy, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:13:11 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo. Good morning, all. Anyway, I just wanted to say Next time you have a server that wants to hang out with you And stuff Say, well, could you excuse us for a minute Because we have to pray before we eat

00:13:24 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

That's a great one Because some That is so smart But what happens if he grabs or she grabs your hand And wants to pray with you

00:13:34 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Just say that it's just a family thing Peggy, you're brilliant

00:13:40 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, give it up for Peggy on that one That is a Shannon you try that next time That you're at that restaurant and I'll try it next time I see this guy Thank you we appreciate it What's up Isaac how you doing

00:13:54 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah my question is did you tip the guy better or worse After this whole ordeal

00:13:58 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 4:

Can I be honest with you I had to give him a great tip Because I found his life story to be very compelling Because he told us his life story Like you know what I mean So I felt bad about the whole thing Isaac That I was like you know what I gotta give I know this guy more than I know my friends

00:14:12 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 2:

now. Yeah, but that's very nice

00:14:14 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 4:

of you. Yeah, what about you? What would you do in this case?

00:14:17 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 2:

I would tip them well. I feel like not many servers are very talkative to me.

00:14:22 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, listen, especially nowadays you just want somebody that is excited about their job. What's going on, Carrie?

00:14:30 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 1:

Not much. My daughter would keep them around. She likes to talk. She won the Chatty Cathy Award at Girl Scout Camp. They're talking about pickles for an hour.

00:14:39 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

i mean it's impressive um texture here says mojo uh don't you remember the female server years and years ago that always would sit in the booth with you and chelsea oh my god i forgot about that that was well i could i could probably say uh where it was but i think that was at the lodge we used to go there all the time uh five

00:15:00 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 1:

Another texter here, this is from 419. Jordan, by the way, one of our super fans. Mojo, aren't you the one that says there's too many podcasts and there's too many people doing podcasts? Why are you suggesting that this guy do a podcast? I don't know. That was my out to try to get done with the whole thing.

00:15:21 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 2:
