America's social casino. So last week I had to go to a funeral, unfortunately. And I started laughing not because I had to go to a funeral, but because I had to go to a funeral with my friend Jeff Zaqua. Do you know Jeff, obviously? Class clown. Well, then you can picture this one. So Jeff is a guy that I've known for a long time. He's an awesome human being, and I love him to death. And he and I are, you know, when we're together, I feel like, I don't know, I feel like it's Larry David and his friend Jeff from Curb Your Enthusiasm. That is so spot on. He's Larry David. I'm Jeff. So he says to me, he goes, hey, I'm going to come, and I'm going to pick you up, and then we'll go to Milford where the wake was for our friend Tim Lillard. His beautiful wife passed away, and it's so sad. And he's been a longtime police officer, a friend of ours for a long time. And so I'm waiting for Jeff to come to the house to grab me. And he comes a little bit late, but he's got this smile on his face laughing. Jeff went to the wrong house. He actually went to my neighbor's house right next door. Yeah, isn't that funny? He's been to my house numerous times. Matter of fact, Jeff helped me find my house.

00:03:49 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 4:

But I'm guessing Knowing him he was probably on his phone at the time Because he's always talking to three people at once

00:03:57 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 5:

Well here's the funniest part He walked up to my neighbor's front door Rang the doorbell And when my neighbor Arvin came to the door He said Is Thomas the Tank Engine here? For those that don't know my real name is Tom And Arvin looked at him like huh? And he goes Thomas the Tank Engine Where's Thomas the Tank Engine at?

00:04:15 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 4:

They're like oh there's a crazy man

00:04:16 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 5:

And he tried to step into the house and walk into the house. And Arvin's kind of like, no, there's no Thomas the Tank Engines here. I haven't had a Thomas the Tank Engine since my kids were, like, really little. Jeff went to the wrong house. Has that ever happened to any of our listeners? Now, Jeff was completely sober. This was just Jeff. That's just a Jeff thing. But has that ever happened to any of our listeners when maybe you weren't so sober? Have you ever gone to the wrong house or gone into the wrong apartment or whatever? My poor neighbor. First off, my neighbor's great. They're a great family.

00:04:48 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 2:

Great name, by the way, for this story. Arvin.

00:04:50 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 5:

Arvin, yes. Arvin.

00:04:51 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 2:

It just is a fabulous name.

00:04:53 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

Arvin and Jeff and Thomas the Tank.

00:05:00 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 1:

and then and then jeff drives like jeff drives like a little car like he has like it's a nice car it's like a sports car and stuff and you should see me trying to get into this damn thing like i drive a big chevy tahoe it was like me trying to get first off i felt like you're i feel like you're riding on a like on the floor because the thing is so low to the ground and so i have to get into his car and he goes are you okay in there and he goes like yes i felt like a nascar driver climbing through the window when you get out do you have to do the rock oh yeah then you know it's bad thomas is truly a tank engine when he's trying to uh trying to get through on this thing um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 julie what's happening here let's grab her first to uh to kick this off julie hi hi hold on i gotta take you off bluetooth thank you okay No worries. I want to know, who was it that went into the wrong house, Julie?

00:06:02 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

It was me. I went into my sister's house. So I went to go into my sister's house, and I walked into the garage, and I knocked on the door like I usually do. I walk in the house. These little dogs come up to me. I'm like, hi, hi, little doggies. How are you? You know, my sister's always got friends over. And I'm walking in, and I'm like, hi, Donna. You home, Donna?

00:06:26 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, we lost you. We didn't get to hear how it ends. Again, how is it that you don't know that that's not your sister's house? I guess you're caught up in a moment or something.

00:06:35 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 4:

Well, if there's doggies, I'm looking at the doggies.

00:06:37 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Andrew?

00:06:39 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I just wanted to make a comment about one time I was up on Mackinac Island, and I was getting breakfast for the family. And on my way back, I opened up the hotel door, and I seen, like, five kids who were not mine on the floor. with a dad looking at me, and I was like, oh, this is not the room. I'm sorry.

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Hey, BJ, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Is it BJ on this line? Hi, BJ.

00:07:06 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 6:

This is CJ.

00:07:07 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 1:

CJ, I apologize. What's up, buddy? What's going on? How you doing? Did you walk into the wrong house? Yes, I did. What happened? What were you doing?

00:07:17 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 6:

So I work at Ann Arbor University Townhouses. I'm a maintenance guy, and I'm working on this lady's sink, and next thing I know is I have to go out to my truck, and I gotta get some tools, I gotta grab some parts, and next thing I know is I'm going back to the house, and I'm grabbing some tools, next thing I know is I walk in the house, it's the wrong house.

00:07:44 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez, my God.

00:07:47 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, that would have been my dream come true. I would have given you a list of stuff to fix. I have things to fix next door. I'm so sorry.

00:07:55 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 4:

While you're here, can you fix this?

00:07:57 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

I'm making sure things are okay. The thing I know is I'm walking outside. I walk into the next neighbors, and they're like, what's going on? Where were you?

00:08:09 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 1:

You know what? The problem is all those places look the same. That's the problem. What's up, Sully? Hey, what's happening, guys? How you doing?

00:08:16 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 5:

Not too bad. Happy Monday.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 1:

Happy Monday to you, man.

00:08:18 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 5:

you walked into the wrong house uh yeah well yeah not all the way in but we went to the wrong house uh it was about two years ago during the pandemic i dressed up as easter bunny and we drove around and passed out baskets to my little cousins and we went to my uncle's neighborhood and i uh knocked on the wrong house they came out looking freaking out it was all backed out in the house so we thought it was this house we looked to our right and he's down there dying laughing on his porch about a quarter mile down just rolling on the ground dying laughing

00:08:48 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 1:

What do you do, though, if you're sitting in your living room and you have no expectations that an Easter bunny is going to be?

00:08:53 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 3:

I'd be terrified. I know.

00:08:56 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Elena? Yes. Hi. How are you? Hi. This is actually pretty funny. Elena walked into the wrong house going to a pure romance party?

00:09:05 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 3:

No. Yes. So I had two of my friends with me. We all had bottles of wine, and we were going to a friend's house who we've been to many times, and I was driving, and I pulled into the driveway and thought that was the right house. I went three houses in Yeah, I walked up inside A guy answered the door Didn't recognize him But I thought, eh, maybe somebody's here That's kind of strange He had kids in his house And I kind of barged my way into the house And he just kept looking at us Like, what are you doing This isn't it, this isn't it And they were backing up off the porch And I was still thinking, oh, there's just some random people here

00:09:41 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah, he's not going to stop a bunch of women With wine and toys in their hands

00:09:44 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 1:

uh what's going on let me grab a couple last calls and renee are you there i'm here hi renee renee hi your walk into the wrong house was very embarrassing what happened

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

yeah

00:10:00 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

so we were just talking about this yesterday sharing so a few years ago my boyfriend and I were sitting around our house we had a living room full of our family we're all opening up gifts watching each other having a good time laughing and all of a sudden I look up and I see this strange man standing between the the dining area and the living room just watching us laughing and he's just watching us and i am like who is this man and i tap my boyfriend's leg like to get his attention like do you see this guy and he looks up at the same time everyone notices the guy and we're all staring at him and he just looks at us and he says i think i'm in the wrong house

00:10:46 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

which he like meant to go to a neighbor's house or something yeah so we were in a like a newer

00:10:55 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

neighborhood and there were three houses our house and our neighbor's house they're similar gray different shades of gray he had never been over to his son's house and it was his first time

00:11:06 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 3:

oh no poor old guy

00:11:09 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 4:

oh yeah no we had never even met our neighbor so it was funny to talk about the next spring when we met him and oh that's great I love how

00:11:17 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

he was so kind to just sit back and watch you guys open it up but not say excuse me is so and so here or like any of that he like let you guys finish your nice uh yeah moment with each other yeah yeah it was funny that's crazy that had to by the way make you almost poop your pants yeah yeah pretty much i would all of a sudden you see

00:11:37 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 1:

a strange person there and it gives that family a story to tell every year this holiday time

00:11:41 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 3:

what's happening lauren oh hi good morning good morning you didn't walk uh into the wrong house

00:11:47 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 6:

what did you walk into mine was a lot more public i walked into the wrong car oh gosh oh yeah oh no

00:11:54 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

And were there people watching you do this?

00:11:58 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it was very public. I just got my new car, and we went out to eat. So I'm always like the last one out of the restaurant getting all the food and making sure the coats are there. So I'm talking and walking, and I open the door, and I sit down, and I look over. My family is two cars down in my car. I was two cars. and everyone's looking at me as i do the walk of shame to my car with everything i had unloaded the whole entire brighton area oh my god yeah it was mortifying and my family loves

00:12:32 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

catholic gatherings okay great uh whitney hi hi hey what's happening now we're talking about mistakenly walking into the wrong home or a car okay yes so my boyfriend and i were invited to

00:12:47 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 5:

like a beginning of the summer party with all of our bike friends we mountain bike and so we had took our bikes with us and we found the address and we pulled up and we see a house with a whole bunch of cars with bike racks and people partying all over the place and we only knew the owners of the house right so we we walk up and we introduce we like say hi guys how are you people were playing ping pong in the garage we parked our bikes and like talked to some people and we go to walk into the house and they were like who are you guys here with and we said todd and laurie and they were like this is not todd and laurie's house we were like oh my god i'm so sorry here there was like a tiny little like pathway through the woods to get to the people's house we were going to so we were like oh my gosh i'm so sorry we were almost in the house with this entire family party So we grabbed the bike and walked through the thing, and once we get to the house we were supposed to be at, we could barely tell the story because it was so hysterical.

00:13:42 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 3:

What's the story with everybody with bikes there in that neighborhood? It must be a very active neighborhood.

00:13:47 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 5:

They must just also ride bikes over there, but we need to move there.

00:13:51 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's funny. By the way, the worst is when you do go into the wrong house, like if you don't necessarily know if it's the right house. The worst is you ever notice that you don't just walk in, you tiptoe. That's so true.

00:14:03 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 8:

And you're like, I just want to recognize one person.

00:14:06 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes. But when you tiptoe, you think that you're, for some reason, sly as people are looking in.

00:14:11 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 8:

Like, you're going to be invisible until you recognize somebody, and then all of a sudden you're visible and you're cool. Yeah. And you're good.

00:14:16 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 3:

It's embarrassing. And in my case, my wife makes me go first. Like, okay, you go first and see if this is their house. And then she stands out on the porch and kind of waits for everything to happen.

00:14:29 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 2:
