00:03:04 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

the time yeah i'd like a little advice from listeners on this because i don't know how to help her but we had a bunch of friends come over the house this weekend and one of the girls has been dating this guy for two years and she's you know grown distant and she's been trying to break up with him and they'll have a talk and they'll mutually agree to split up and then he'll call the next day wanting to get together for dinner or drinks or a movie or whatever and then she ends up giving in to him because she always feels guilty and then the cycle starts all over again they just can't end it they always end up back together she'll break up and then they're back together and now we're getting into the holidays and I know he will string her along because she doesn't want to be alone over Christmas and I don't know what advice I could give her like how do you make the breakup stick how do you point out to your friend like this is tiring we're watching this again and again this you keep breaking up because you say he's not for you and then you get back together did they come did they both come over to your uh place this weekend no no just her this time but she's they're broken up now well no then she was telling us how they're back together again and we're everybody just kind of gives each other looks and rolls their eyes like here we go it's got to be very confusing for friends and family right yeah well by the fifth or sixth time you just frustrating yeah it's frustrating because you want to help and be like you know this guy's not good for you and you know you keep you get to the point where you say you're going to break up or you actually do break up but it never sticks they always end up back together and it's like people have taken every measure possible like as soon as they break up i've had some of the girlfriends will try and introduce her to other guys right away help break the cycle what you've said on the air before mojo sometimes the best way to get over someone is to get under someone well do they ever do that no it doesn't work oh so they've actually gone and dated other people i think and i think he has gone out and dated other people but she always she's fine with them yeah she'll come back she'll take him back and i'm like well she's obviously just wants the relationship for the convenience of it it seems like like she's complacent familiarity so it's interesting that you bring you bring this up because it is the holidays and it is a tough time to to break up with someone and i think that the holidays either can make it worse or sometimes it makes a relationship better and maybe what ends up happening is they end up making up maybe there's a pattern to this maybe it's the time of the year yeah but maybe they they they're bad with each other and then all of a sudden they come together in the holidays and everything's nice and they realize what they would miss if they weren't together. And then next thing you know, it's like holidays are over with and then they're bad again.

00:05:34 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, and they do this like two or three times a year. One's always around the holidays, but I always think like they're not bad people. Both of them are decent humans. They're just not good together. And the fact is they both know they're not good together, but they both end up, you know, their flight patterns end up back together at some, they just can't seem to break it off permanently.

00:05:53 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Tiger? Yeah. Is your name really Tiger?

00:05:58 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 3:

Uh, that's That's a great name passed on from four generations ago. Really?

00:06:03 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

Like, were you Tiger Woods, or were you Tiger before Tiger Woods was Tiger Woods?

00:06:07 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 3:

It was actually Wood Tiger.

00:06:09 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Okay. What's going on, Tiger? I feel weird calling a guy Tiger. Hey, Tiger.

00:06:15 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

So, it's the same process with my current wife. I was 14. She was 13 at the time we were dating in high school. We go on and off. You know, we're kids. People are like, oh, you're not going to make it. If you keep breaking up and you're kids, you don't know what's going on. Today, I'm 20 years old. She is 19. We got married, and we're living very happy.

00:06:38 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 2:

Really? So wait a second. Are you guys still going through the process of issues with each other, though? Like, you're happy now, but when's the last time you guys had problems with each other?

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm glad to say it's not an issue anymore. I guess it was just a long distance.

00:06:53 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Then why did you, hey, Tiger, why did you say with my current wife? Whenever anybody says that, I always go, wait a second, so what's the story here? Are you not planning on being together?

00:07:05 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Who's your future wife going to be? Well, you never know what happens, but she is my current wife. I plan to keep her until death do its part.

00:07:13 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 2:

My current wife. That is funny. I didn't even catch that.

00:07:16 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know, your situation is similar to theirs. it's similar to remember eminem uh and his ex-wife and unfortunately they you know is at the height of marshall's career so everything played out very publicly but you have such a long history as childhood lovers that it just continues you go back to each other again and again and family some family thinks you're good for each other wants it to work others don't so sometimes it

00:07:40 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

takes years and years to figure it out here's the here's an issue though an issue is like in his case

00:07:44 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

they were 13 14 years old your friends are how old oh they're like 36 37 okay yeah they're not childhood right that's that's uh that's in fact they met i think they met at a job like they were

00:07:58 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

they worked together after college so yeah you know what's weird is it's weird uh when people you you know like you're you'll talk to people and they'll be like yeah you know we're not we're not together or we're not we're separated or whatever it is and then they'll you you see them together and you're like god i want to ask them the question like what's going on with them but you

00:08:20 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

don't if you know them long enough it's fatiguing you know like i i always admire those couples that work through stuff and try and work through stuff privately it's it's hard because you do want to share with friends and you want to talk things out and you want to commiserate but then what happens is if you constantly complain about the person to other all your friends stuff they get tired because then you don't listen to your own advice you know it's a problem you keep going back

00:08:44 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 4:

to them yes tatum hi hi yeah that's totally true my mom always said don't ever tell your parents

00:08:51 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

anything about your relationship because you'll hate them forever yeah yeah when you're struggling

00:08:57 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 4:

or something yeah it's not a good idea but i noticed and i was saying how i've noticed and i'm the same way when guys were younger and we were in relationships and stuff we like girls always got hurt through high school guys were such like you know no offense like men but they were dumb and they ended up cheating on us and screwing us over and then we would always take them back if we wanted that twilight love you know like that doesn't exist but every girl thinks it does and then now all the men want the relationships and now the girls are like like done with them and now all the men want to settle down as they get older so all the men are wanting to get married and now the women are all independent damn like screw that right because

00:09:37 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

women mature a lot sooner than men do that's for sure exactly but it's happening with a lot of my

00:09:43 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 4:

friends they're like over it they're like i mean you guys you guys threw this over i mean you guys had your chance yeah now we're we want to be independent we don't want to listen to men

00:09:54 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

thank you for the call Tatum what's up Rob

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

morning

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Hey, my mom and my sisters always told us, my wife and I, that we would neglect six months because of our age difference. There's only like five years between us. And Halloween, we celebrated 30 years. Wow.

00:10:18 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 4:

And how many times did you break up between now and then? Never. Oh, okay. So you fought the odds. Well, that's not really this situation. Yeah, that's not bad.

00:10:28 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 5:

It's great, though. It's amazing to hear.

00:10:30 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 8:

Early in your relationship, everybody thought you wouldn't be together. You guys are still together. That's nice. Good for you.

00:10:35 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 6:

Yep, and I tell everybody that's the longest six months of my life.

00:10:41 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 8:

What do you think she sees in you?

00:10:45 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I've done so many things wrong that I thought she was going to leave, but she didn't.

00:10:52 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 8:

What's the worst thing you did?

00:10:53 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 6:

uh seven years ago i took a 20 foot ball off a ladder and broke my back and i it just sat there and every time i turned around it was just felt like i was failing at stuff well that that's and

00:11:08 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 8:

that's nice that she didn't leave you when you fell off of a ladder right i mean i'm thinking like you know you fell off of a ladder into another girl you know what i mean like that's

00:11:17 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 1:

We don't know that she didn't try to push him off that ladder either.

00:11:20 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, that's true. I don't know. That's true. All right, buddy. Well, you go be happy, all right? Love on your day.

00:11:27 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 7:

All right. Have a good day. All right.

00:11:31 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 8:

Until we're struggling for calls. What's up, Jordan?

00:11:36 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 7:

So I had a friend in high school that always did the same thing, breakouts pretty much on a weekly basis, And they finally called it quits When they came to us And we beat them, too They go, yeah, we know You broke out

00:11:51 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, unfortunately, it's like

00:11:57 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 5:

The girl that cried wolf after a while, too Like, you want to be a good friend And be there for them and care And try to, like, you know, help them through it But after the fourth or fifth time You're like, alright, I mean I don't have the energy anymore

00:12:10 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 7:

I think they did it, like, eight times And we're like, okay, maybe after four, we're just kind of like, okay, this is home.

00:12:18 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:12:18 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 7:

We're done.

00:12:19 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 8:

Thank you for the call, Jordan. Happy Thanksgiving. Bye. We'll see you. Yep, you too, bud.

00:12:24 - 00:12:24 | Unknown:

Bye.

00:12:24 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 9:
