Sometimes when couples are together, you always want to know how did they meet? and there are some couples that have like really beautiful stories and then there are those that have the not so beautiful or maybe the embarrassing ones and reese who is our director of social impact wants to call out friend of his actually friends uh and how they met and uh reese um it's

appropriate for what's going on nowadays how did they meet um so i have friends i know that they're in the listening area so i have to be really careful with how i say this but they met while on spring break in cancun during a makeout contest and now they have a child on the way and they're married so it kind of goes to show you can find love anywhere today folks isn't that beautiful so there were two random strangers yeah they had no idea who each other were at the time and they went to two different high schools but both their high schools went to the same resort so that's what they win did they win the contest um yeah i think so i didn't actually witness it i was i was wasted not gonna lie i was busy doing other things but uh yeah i

think they won nice if you're not first you're last right so you you did spring break when you

were in college at cmu oh yeah uh not during yeah this was in high school this was the high school one. Wait, is that a make-out

contest for high schoolers? Oh, yeah. I don't like that.

Why do you think I don't want my daughters to go when they were in high school? Hey,

Reese, these spring breaks that they do in high school where it's like the senior trips, don't the parents also come on these trips with

the kids? Yep. And actually, funny story that you just brought that up, the mom of the girl encouraged her to do it, which is

kind of crazy, isn't it? Mom! Well, that's the problem. The parents end up having more fun than the kids and they're the ones getting wasted on the side they're supposed to be chaperoning but they'll be like you know a couple parents go down and say we'll watch all 12 kids and you got to watch the parents more than the kids it's the best it's it's funny that

you bring that up spike about your you're you didn't want your daughters going at next year would be luke's and i told chelsea already because we've gone to punta cana where we vacationed and it just so happened that the high school that my son goes to the seniors were there and after seeing the spit fest that those kids go through i don't want to watch my kid go through that yeah like like it's different when it's another person's kid and you can see them like passed out in a hallway i don't want to see my kid doing stuff like that yeah i had my friend he chaperoned his

kid and a bunch of others and all the kids were getting pulled by like mexican police for uh underage drinking and stuff and it's like all of a sudden it's a big mess on your hands like how do you do it and then he sees his own daughter get it and you're like well now what do you do their vacation's over they're not even supposed to be on the resort anymore but he's supposed to be

watching the other kids and it's like a big mess so back to reese's topic here about the embarrassing uh way that you guys met as a couple um does anybody have a story that tops reese's friends who met on a spring break makeout session because you think of this couple and when they get older

their daughter's gonna ask how did you meet yep yep and they're gonna have to explain all of that

met my kids like i told my kids a story how you know i met their mother we both did college radio and stuff but it's different nowadays because so many people's origin stories are going to be from

the dms or from dating apps yeah yeah i feel like everyone meets on tinder nowadays tinder or jail You never know.
