or black no no i know it's the dso but my i'm at certain times i'm hired as like just how i would like to phrase it as like a hired shooter you'd show me my target i come in i do my thing that's the job you want me to emcee an after emcee boom come in i don't need to be involved in all the programming and a product all hoopla what's the attire you say whatever you want it's 95 degrees outside yeah but yeah so beautiful event um if you don't know june is black music month um also african-american music appreciation month and as a part of the celebration the pistons partner with Big Sean and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and held like a concert and Kim incredible musician he was given an award Big Sean was given an award T Grizzlies like look a lot of people perform if you've never heard rap music with the backdrop of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra it is something to be admired it is beautiful and I emcee the event so the event is going amazingly like you said dressed to the nines got the big bow tie on tuxes it's a beautiful event i've never i graduated in the dso but i've never gone and seen a performance there so like you were talking bucket list earlier that's something i want to get more into the opera the detroit symphony orchestra and this was kind of one of those moments not only for me to witness it but to be a part of it so like i said the artists are performing we're giving out awards and then there's a brief intermission where while we're pausing we're allowing the orchestra all the members who play these beautiful instruments to walk out and get set up so they're out there they're tuning the backstage people from the dsr like all right five minutes five minutes they're running out the conductor is out there all right two minutes two minutes literally this is not an exaggeration two minutes until showtime the damn fire alarm goes off oh no now you know when fire alarms happen some people they get up they leave immediately yeah there are others like myself and that was the majority of the people the people that were like me that's like is this a real thing like we're just gonna wait if somebody makes me leave i'll go and this is an event this isn't like i'm in my house or i'm at my office or something this is an event people are dressed up we are ready to see a performance big sean is about to come out with queen like we are not ready to leave right now i'm in the back panicking then i get a text from the leader of marketing like we need to make an announcement i'm like i don't know the rules in this thing i started to walk out the ds

DSO's like, no, no, no, no, no. We need to check with the.

You heard the fire alarm and you, who is the man to tell everybody what to do. You were like, I'm getting the hell out of here.

I was chilling in the back. I'm like, is this a real thing? Like, do I really have to leave? It's a sold out event. It's like thousands. What are we supposed to do? Just say, all right, y'all, it's over right now. So finally, DSO was like, yes, this is a real thing. We have to tell. Yes. It was like, this is a real thing. A smoke alarm or something to the effect went off. So we literally have to ask people to evacuate. Oh, no. So go out there and say something like, all right, y'all. It's so quiet. You can hear my heart, soul. I'm like, all right, guys. So, yeah, this is a real fire. We have to evacuate.

I'm like, oh, I should have killed a whole crowd of units. They're like, no.

So everybody evacuate. I think somebody was smoking in the bathroom. Are you serious? And that's what caused it? Really? Like, no one wanted to say it, but you could see, like, in their eyes, they're like, Someone made the fire alarm go off.

I bet it was Tee Grizzly.

Do you know Tee? He smelled like the good, you know, I don't know if it was Tee. Might have been somebody else out there.

I think the odds are pretty good if you're hanging out with Tee Grizzly, Big Sean, Cam, who else?

The only thing I smelled in there was excellence that night. It's probably one of them little vaping kids. That's probably what it was. Wait, so everybody goes outside. Everybody had, when I say. For how long? Bro, it had to take about, all in all, closer to about 40 minutes for people to come back in. Oh, I'd be so mad. Because you had to re-screen everybody from a security standpoint. Once you evacuated everybody outside, you had to make sure that they didn't, you know, get something while they were in their cars and come back in, which took a super long time. But once it finally got going, it was beautiful. It had the perfect night. But that almost ruined the entire event. A damn fire alarm.

Have you ever been at a Pistons game when the fire alarm? Has the fire alarm ever gone off on one of those things?

Never. Like I'm surprised. I don't even know if it's like, like, you know, like, do we even have those? Like in school, you can literally pull the fire alarm? Oh, yeah. Can you imagine being at the big house, like you said, and you're there with 103,000 people or however many people are inside of that thing, and you're all the way in the best seats you could ever get because your friend gave them up to you, and you've got to leave that place. I always think whenever there's lightning there, and you ever see that when they've done that before? I was at Spartan Stadium once. They had a lightning event where they're like, all right, everybody's got to go take cover, and they make you leave the actual stadium. I'm like, I ain't coming back. Exactly. I'm going home. I'm going to my car. It's over. There is no way.
