Hey, it's Bubbles, your cat. Your idiot dog, Jingles, just barfed up a sock puppet.

00:00:38 - 00:00:43 | Speaker 4:

Hey, it's Jingles. I'm fine. Just that stupid sock was looking at me for it all. He's doing it again!

00:00:43 - 00:00:49 | Speaker 3:

Jingles! He ate it again. And puked it up again. He might need a vet.

00:00:50 - 00:00:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I might need a vet.

Mojo in the morning, home of the phone scams, the War of the Roses, and the Dirty on the 30. So Mike from our show has a little bit of a misunderstanding that should he clear it up or should he not clear it up? It is with his children. What's going on, Mike?

00:01:50 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 9:

I'm wondering if other parents have done this or if your parents did this to you. where they kind of fib when it comes to your vacation. Like, maybe you think you went somewhere big, but it turns out it was just a laundromat. Like, I thought I went to Chuck E. Cheese.

00:02:04 - 00:02:08 | Speaker 8:

You can pretty much, yeah, pull the wool over any kid's eyes.

00:02:08 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 9:

So I was asked to host Disney on Ice tonight. And I know, Shannon, you've done that a lot. And it's so fun. Yeah, it's a blast. And so I'm going to the auto show at 4 o'clock. So I'll be there at 4 o'clock. And then right after that, I'm taking the kids to Disney on Ice. And so I told them last night. I surprised them with it last night. And they kept calling it Disney World. And my son's calling it Disney World. And my daughter's calling it Disney World. And they got out on their phone with one of their friends. And, you know, they called it Disney World. And even this morning, you know, they were like, wow, we're going to Disney World today. We're going to Disney World. Yeah. And I haven't corrected them at all. They think this is Disney World.

00:02:48 - 00:02:52 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you are going to Disney World. Absolutely. You keep that going as long as you can.

00:02:53 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 10:

But isn't it going to get weird for them when they go back to school and everybody's asking them, how was Disney World? And they don't have, they, well, did you ride this?

00:02:59 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 7:

It was amazing. I saw, you see every princess for those Disney on Ices. All the characters.

00:03:05 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 8:

But there's no rides. Or they're going to go to school. They're going to get souvenirs. They're going to go to school and they're going to say to their teacher, I went to Disney World last night. They're going to think Mike has a private jet. Okay, there you go.

00:03:17 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 7:

No, because if the teachers have kids, they're going to totally get exactly what happened. Yeah.

00:03:22 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 8:

That's funny. At least you're not doing it on purpose, though. It's by their own little mistake, right?

00:03:28 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 7:

Right, but I'm not correcting you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who would ever tell their kids that they were going to Legoland and instead take them to the Lego store? Does her name rhyme with Shannon?

00:03:39 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 8:

But isn't it funny that they named, didn't they name the store like that? Legoland or whatever?

00:03:43 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 10:

No, it's called the, you're thinking.

00:03:44 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 8:

Legoland is in Great Lakes.

00:03:45 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, you're thinking of, like, there is a little Legoland in Great Lakes.

00:03:48 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 8:

They should not call that Legoland because Legoland.

00:03:51 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 7:

But I took them to the Lego store at Somerset.

00:03:53 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 8:

But I'm saying, that thing that's over at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills, Michigan, wonderful. But when I think Legoland, I think of the place that's in San Diego, California.

00:04:06 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 7:

Right, which is where they wanted to go, like Mike's kids.

00:04:09 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 10:

Mike, where's it at? Van Andel? Yes. Well, Miles will go all in. Take him to the Bob and tell him it's the Epcot.

00:04:16 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 8:

Hey, what's up, Brandon? How you doing?

00:04:19 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 6:

Morning, everybody.

00:04:20 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 8:

Good. What's going on?

00:04:22 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 6:

My dad used to, he didn't lie about where we went, but on New Year's, he would actually roll all the clocks so that at about 8 o'clock, it would be midnight at our house. And we'd all stay up till midnight and be all excited, and Dad could get to bed early.

00:04:37 - 00:04:38 | Unknown:

That's great.

00:04:39 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 8:

But did you guys ever wonder why they weren't dropping the ball in New York City?

00:04:44 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 6:

We just watched the last years. We never even realized. We just watched the year prior. Wow, yeah. dad bring it up on youtube and genius and we'd pull one over on us a couple of texts a couple

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 8:

of texters texting in about mike's one brandon this is funny uh my parents told

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 4:

us that we were going to disney world but we only went to cedar point i mean at least you went to cedar point yeah it's still fun i mean that's kind of cool you know what it is it's all the hype of everybody thinking that this is the place to go to when in reality in your own backyard probably

00:05:13 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

no reason to lie cedar point's impressive and the kids won't have to be searching for goofy and

00:05:18 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

mickey for the whole day where are they i wonder how many parents actually took their kids to like the local best western uh you know little wave pool or whatever that they had in there and said that they were going to Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari. You know? Like, that's a good lie to tell your kids. That's a good lie. Yeah. Want to try that one out this weekend, Mike?

00:05:38 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I will. It's kind of like, remember how Sesley was coming home with the Great Wolf thing? Oh, jeez. Yeah. So I don't know whose parent that is that keeps sending my kids home with Great Wolf Lodge, those ears from Great Wolf Lodge. They must work there or something or know somebody that works there. But my kids keep coming home, and they're like, we want to go to Great Wolf Lodge. We want to go.

00:05:57 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 2:

they got their kids marketing and hustling to the class yeah you know what's funny i think that's a

00:06:03 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

great marketing move by those guys remember when we were kids i remember in school um they used to do that with like cedar point where they would give you um and it was probably the school just getting tickets to encourage you to attend if you got perfect attendance you would get either tickets to go to the base like a baseball game like a tigers game or you'd go to cedar point

00:06:27 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 8:

Well, the Cedar Point one was smart because they only give you a ticket. Right. And so he's got to take you. Right.

00:06:31 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

Somebody's paying to get in. You know the whole family's got to go.

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, Mom, look at this. I got one ticket. It's like one ticket.

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But what are you going to say? We're not going. You just got perfect attendance. Yes. Good grades.

00:06:42 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 4:

That's what my dad would say.

00:06:43 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Well, you're talking to me. Remember my dad would tell me he's taking me to see Santa Claus, and he would take us to the bar where his bartender was dressed as Santa, and I'd have to sit on his lap and smell the whiskey.

00:06:53 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

But wasn't that also his way of trying to get out and have mom be okay with him?

00:06:57 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 2:

All the dads did it. They all planned it on the same Saturday. They would drink all afternoon and shove us in the corner with some crafts.

00:07:03 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 4:

And it would be smoky, smoky claws. What's up, Mandy? Hi.

00:07:08 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. How are you guys?

00:07:10 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

We're great. What's going on?

00:07:12 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 7:

So back in the day when I was younger, we went and stayed in Florida. My grandparents had a motorhome down in Florida, and we had to drive the motorhome back. And she's like, oh, yeah, we're going to go to Wally World. And I was like, oh, my gosh, we're going to go to Disney World. Like, I was so excited, you know. And she never corrected herself either. And we ended up parking in Walmart parking lot to stay the night. And I was like so devastated. That was Wally World.

00:07:37 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I was going to say, isn't Wally World just from the movie? Yeah. There's like the movie. It was like a John Candy or something movie, right?

00:07:47 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yep. Yep. So I was, I may be corrected on that aspect of things, but yeah, so we stayed in Walmart parking lot.

00:07:56 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 4:

I love the texter that, uh, the text into us and said that their kids all thought when the Disney store was in the mall that they thought that that was, uh.

00:08:05 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 8:

Oh yeah. Yeah. I miss those Disney stores. I used to love those. I do too. And I just remember my dad would grab me by the back of the neck when I was little and just make sure I kept walking past the store. You're not going

00:08:21 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 4:

Actually, you know what's funny I remember we used to go down a level Then back up a level

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 8:

I do that with Build-A-Bear I totally avoid Build-A-Bear

00:08:30 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

And the worst is when you go in the mall And you go by Build-A-Bear They still have lines outside Even though they really don't need them But they're doing it just to get kids Like your kids Wanting to know what the hell's going on Oh, Shannon, this is the same Madeline, similar lie Shannon's dad, the legendary Tim Murphy, would pull with the ice cream truck. What's going on?

00:08:50 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, hi. So my older sister, for years my mom would tell her, no, it's not. It's the music truck. She wouldn't even correct it. She would just say, it's the music truck. And they'd go outside and they'd dance on the front lawn. And it wasn't until my sister was like six years old and the boy next door was like, it's the ice cream truck and totally blew up my heart.

00:09:12 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Oh, yeah. Just drives around, plays music, make people happy.

00:09:15 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

Do you feel so robbed? Like, when that's you as a kid, does that make you feel like your parents just ruined you?

00:09:22 - 00:09:24 | Unknown:

Yeah. It was lit.

00:09:24 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 6:

It was lit.

00:09:27 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:
