All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning Show. It was neat to go down and see our new studios. We went for another visit. Our sales departments all moved out. They moved downtown. We're going to be doing our show for the first time in, gosh, ever. Since, you know, we've been in our studio here in Farmington Hills, Michigan, we're going to be moving to Detroit to Eastern Market, which was an idea that came about by Bob Pittman, our CEO, when Bob became the CEO of iHeart. You know, Bob back in the day used to work at WDRQ, used to be an on-air DJ way back when. And he said he didn't understand why a Detroit radio station was in Farmington Hills, Michigan, especially historic Detroit stations like us and FM 98, WJLB and mix 92 point whatever they are. Three. And who are the other ones? WNIC 100.3 WNIC. So we're going to be in Eastern Market. We're going to be broadcasting from there. And yesterday was fun to go see the station. I saw I showed Chelsea the station for the first time yesterday. So my wife got to go see it, and we have friends in from out of town that are visiting, and our friends are so excited to be in Detroit, because one is from Tucson, Arizona, the other one is from Dallas, Texas. Wow. And it's kind of interesting that the people that come to visit from other places are so much more knowledgeable about Detroit than probably I am even, and living here all the time. They know about everything in Detroit, because Detroit's got a cool factor, right? Everybody loves the Lions. You know, we love the old English D. We love Motown and, you know, what music it's brought. The cars, right? Or the city that moves the world. Well, we also have Henry the Hatter, which is a historic hat shop, which is right down the street from our radio studios. And that's where our friend Sean wanted to go. She wanted to go to Henry the Hatter because Sean is a huge Kid Rock fan. She loves Kidd, and she's seen Kidd talk about Henry the Hatter before and all that stuff. So have this ever happened to you guys? We went to go to Henry the Hatter, and this is no reflection on Henry the Hatter because you're our new neighbor. But I don't know who you had working yesterday. Maybe it was Harriet the Hatter. She was there.

00:05:00 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 1:

You ever go into a store, and the moment that you walk into the store, the people that work there treat you like they think you're going to rob the place? That's what it was walking into Henry the Hatter yesterday. Maybe it was that they saw these people walking into Henry the Hatter, and they thought to themselves, these don't look like people that wear hats or something. I don't know. But they acted like they followed you around the entire store. And it was weird. Have you ever had that?

00:05:32 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

I don't like that when they follow you around the store. That makes me so nervous.

00:05:38 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 1:

And they give you the hairy eyeball like you're not, like, why are you here, you know? And honestly, even if I'm walking in just to look at the hats and go, wow, I just want to be able to say that I'm in Henry the Hatter, they should be excited about you actually being there, right? I mean, the only reason I know Henry the Hatter is the history of Henry the Hatter, you know? and uh and they they looked like this it was so apparent almost to a point where actually uh luke was there my son luke he's like i don't think we should stay here i don't think they want us here it was weird i always feel that way when i walk into a especially if it's like a

00:06:15 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 4:

local business it's not like a big box store and i have and you guys know my bags all of my purses and stuff are humongo yeah and i always feel like i'm getting a hairy eyeball when i walk into somewhere with like a big bag because it probably looks like i'm about to fill the dang bag with their stuff and i'm not i just have a lot of stuff it's and it's interesting because i actually was

00:06:35 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

telling a buddy of mine who is puerto rican yesterday the story in uh in the guy and i used to work together in radio in arizona and we're joking around because of he knows uh sean and uh and knows courtney because they were our old neighbors from when we lived in tucson and he goes now you know what it's like to be me i said to him i go oh you know what this is yeah you know uh this is like it's something that happens anytime that you are if you're uh if you're black or brown that this happens you walk into a store and they do that and it's it's very awkward it's very let me just say this to you it's very very strange it almost made me want to steal a hat it almost made me want to go inside there and just go i'm going to take a hat my name is joe rinkovich current caretaker at henry the hatter henry there joe joe wasn't there yesterday got my grandpa's old hat never knew have you been in a store ever have you been in a couple of weeks

00:07:31 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 3:

ago did you buy anything at all i was actually um really interested in buying something i did not realize like the style of hats that they had in there and so i didn't find anything that i was really looking for that day, but I found some really cool stuff

00:07:46 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

in there. Oh, it's a cool place. It was

00:07:48 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 3:

so interesting. It

00:07:50 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

made me want to buy Mike a hat. I almost wanted to give Mike a new look, get him a big old Stetson

00:07:56 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 3:

or something like that. But tell me if you agree with me, the majority of those hats are meant for men.

00:08:01 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, for sure. I feel like they

00:08:02 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 3:

are. Yeah. Didn't Arisa get all her hats there? They have women's hats. I think she did.

00:08:10 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

Remember the store used to be on on woodward right it was right off it was on that it was right on the classic woodward there kind of where dan gilbert redid all that stuff um and that was actually one of the only stores that was in a spot like there was emptiness on that street for so long and then i think it got i don't

00:08:27 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

know if it got moved during the super bowl they upped the rent oh did they really yeah that's

00:08:31 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

what i heard yeah have you ever had this have had this happen to you kev walking into a store i have

00:08:36 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 2:

i can't i'm sitting over here i haven't had any like crazy memories but i mean to your friend's point yeah i mean you you know you look a certain way people are more aware of your yeah your uh

00:08:47 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 1:

presence the weird the weirdest part was if i'm gonna go in and i'm gonna steal anything i don't think i'm stealing a hat like i go into a jewelry store or something like that you know what i mean like if i'm gonna rob something i'm going lucido just lock it down i want to walk in there and i'm just gonna just seriously grab myself a rolex or something a hat especially their kind of hats that

00:09:08 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 4:

are like you need to put them in a box yeah yeah so you need to put them in a box yeah yeah although

00:09:13 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 1:

i think you know what's funny is that uh i do i do think that there are sometimes where i'll go into stores like a lids which by the way that's my henry the hatter lids by the way i think i'm a member of the lids club i know this sounds crazy to say this i think i get free embroidering if you ever want for real you ever want a hat embroidered i think i get some every single month but it's funny because you go in sometimes to uh to lids and there's certain lids where you try to take the hat off and you can't get the hat off because it's got like a chain or something that that is attached to the thing yeah because those are easy to steal yeah did you guys meet our new security guard that we have at the front desk there greg yes that was he gonna be there all the time i hope so because i really liked him he was very friendly what did you talk to him at

00:09:58 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was cool. He kind of.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 1:

I didn't know if I'm like, I don't know. He was kind of weird.

00:10:02 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys, because I couldn't be there yesterday, because I was actually, I was at fifth grade camp with Lucy, but did you guys pick seats? Did I miss the day that we picked seats?

00:10:09 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, we went in, and I kind of told everybody where you wanted to be, because you had said. Cav really wants, so this is the thing. Cav sits right across from me. Megan's right across from me. Shannon's kind of off to the right. Then KP's off to the left. and this new control board area has a table that's much smaller so we literally could hold hands we now could pray together if we wanted to

00:10:34 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 3:

I almost just argued with him we're the opposite, we face each other of course it's the opposite I was like, she's on your left and you're like, Shannon's on my right I'm like, she's on your left I'm so stupid I'm so stupid

00:10:47 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Kev wants to sit he wants to sit in the to my left

00:10:55 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 2:

position. Oh, by the glass. Yeah. By the glass where you can see the rest of the office. I want to see

00:10:58 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 1:

Mojo's face. He wants to see my face. That's what I said. And Shannon wants to sit. By the way, this is flattering that you guys each want to see my face. For 15 years

00:11:07 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

I have stared at a box.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 1:

And what's wrong with my box?

00:11:11 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

No. I have stared at a piece of equipment. And so when people are like, you don't realize, I really don't see Mojo at all during the show. I see his torso and the top of his hair. If he styles it correctly.

00:11:24 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

I know sometimes

00:11:25 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 2:

That's what I see

00:11:27 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 1:

Now you're going to see my nose hairs Now Chelsea's going to be right I have to trim my nose hairs every day Because as I've gotten over 50 years old I've got nose hairs that grow like crazy Nose and ears So what do you guys think Do you want Shannon you like that same position that you were in

00:11:45 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

So we would be like the same It would be the same that it is now

00:11:50 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 1:

So as soon as you walked in the studio you'd be right there

00:11:52 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

I don't whatever

00:11:53 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 1:

And Megan, did you like your position? Because you didn't seem like you were trying to pick a place. Do you like that? Do you want to sit where Kev sits, or do you want to sit?

00:12:03 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 3:

I like what we have now, because I like that Shannon always brings nice lotions that I can then steal. I do say that, and Kev's within hitting distance for when he says something he shouldn't.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 1:

I can hit him, though.

00:12:17 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 3:

I do personally like where I sit.

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 1:

I'll punch him right in the nose.

00:12:20 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm a team player, but if you love me, you know that I need to steal her lotion. It's getting expensive.

00:12:26 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Henry the Hatter, you're looking at anybody that's a thief. She's right there. She's the lotion thief. What's going on, Charlie? Hi. Hey, Mojo. How's it going, everybody? What's happening?

00:12:40 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 3:

Not much. I totally agree with you. If I was going to steal anything, it'd be worth more than a hat.

00:12:49 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 1:

I think so, too. But I get it. They must get ripped off and stuff, you know? Which is so sad. Actually, you know what I would probably steal?

00:12:56 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure. I'm sure they lose a lot of profit.

00:12:58 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to steal a gyro from that Greek place that's right across the street from the state. Is that how you say it? A gyro. It's not gyros? No, it's not gyro. It's like liver noise. I never knew. Liver noise is one of those. By the way, what are certain words that people can't pronounce? Kevin, when he was doing the traffic the last couple days, kept calling it liver noise, and I didn't correct him at all. I said we're all making noise on liver noise It's liver noise

00:13:23 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 3:

I said one word that drives me crazy You say similar instead of similar Similar?

00:13:29 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 1:

Also acts instead of I don't mind that

00:13:32 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 3:

You saying husband drives me nuts

00:13:35 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 1:

Husband? I put a T on the end of it

00:13:39 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 3:

Shannon's the only one that speaks properly out of all of us

00:13:42 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Shannon enunciates very well But she does

00:13:44 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 2:

So funny is my drama teachers and stuff where you have really deteriorated in your enunciation.

00:13:54 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

I have the worst mush mouth around here. Half the time I'm getting sent out I'm like... Really?

00:14:01 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 1:

Is that what you sound like?

00:14:02 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 3:

It feels like it. When my brain is going faster than my mouth can keep up with.

00:14:07 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 1:

I've never kind of noticed that. That you have. Yeah, really?

00:14:12 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

Me. Do you remember that scene in Billy Madison where he's like, today, Junior, I feel like somebody in their car says that to me every day.

00:14:21 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 1:

When you're trying to just get a word out.

00:14:23 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 3:

Today, Julia! God, I love that movie.

00:14:27 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I think sometimes, there I am, by the way. You hear that? I can't even put a thought together. I'm having such an issue. Trying to figure out how to speak in here. Alright, enough already of this. Thank you for the call. I appreciate you so much.

00:14:43 - 00:14:43 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:14:43 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:
