Hey guys, Bobby Bones here, host of The Bobby Bones Show. I'm always tired because I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning, but it's all worth it because I get to hang out with all my friends and my studio. We share our lives. We look for as much good in the world as we possibly can with Tell Me Something Good, and we talk through the biggest news stories of the day, and also your biggest and favorite country artists are always stopping by. On the Gulf Coast, check us out on 95KSJ, and lock us in as a preset on the free iHeartRadio app today. Mojo in the Morning Show.

Shannon back from being out sick the last three mornings.

00:00:35 - 00:00:38 | Speaker 3:

Ten years, it feels like. You've had an eventful two weeks.

00:00:38 - 00:00:43 | Speaker 4:

So you were out on Friday.

00:00:44 - 00:00:44 | Speaker 1:

No, I was here Friday.

00:00:45 - 00:00:52 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm saying you were out on Friday night. Oh, yes. At a birthday party that was thrown for you by your friends.

00:00:52 - 00:00:52 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:00:52 - 00:00:55 | Speaker 4:

And then you got sick.

00:00:55 - 00:01:28 | Speaker 1:

Yes. and then you were out for with us yeah go ahead so i feel especially terrible because my sweet girlfriends um through a an incredibly beautiful birthday party for me on friday night it was so much fun it was awesome it was more than i ever dreamed of i just had i i knew what we were all doing i knew we were going out to dinner i just didn't know that it was going to be what it was And I was so grateful. Well, on Friday, I think I said to you, Spike, during the show. I was like, I'm starting to feel funny.

00:01:29 - 00:01:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You said you might have maybe caught the cold or whatever.

00:01:33 - 00:01:41 | Speaker 1:

Wes had influenza A, right, before we left for Paris. Like a week before we left for Paris. So he was battling the end of that when we were in Paris.

00:01:41 - 00:02:05 | Speaker 3:

And when you said that, I wasn't sure if your little dinner with your girls was a surprise. Because they had contacted me asking me to help. They couldn't find a party bus anywhere. Right. And so I helped them. our friend Ramon owns a top-notch party bus they were fabulous and they paid him it was this isn't like a free plug or anything but they just couldn't find one so I got them one yes so when you said Friday you're like I'm I'm leaving I can't I don't feel good and I'm just gonna sleep the rest day

00:02:05 - 00:02:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm like oh no well yeah and I like I didn't know about that or anything but I had said to you I don't feel good I'm gonna try to go home and sleep this off so I went home I took some ibuprofen I slept for a couple of hours and when I woke up I felt better so I thought okay I can't cancel this thing you know all of my girlfriends have put so much time into it and um and I was so excited to go well I woke up on Saturday morning and it was like I mean I felt absolutely horrific and not from drinking too much champagne trust me I can tell the difference like I knew that I had something I couldn't talk I couldn't swallow my breathing was bad and I felt like absolute death and so So I'm thinking to myself, I was just on a party bus and hanging out with all of my best girlfriends who did this wonderful thing by throwing me this beautiful party.

00:02:58 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 4:

Which, by the way, we joked, there were more people at that birthday party than our listeners of our show right now.

00:03:07 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 1:

Bro.

00:03:08 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 3:

I don't have that many friends.

00:03:10 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 1:

Who has that many friends? It was bigger than my high school graduating class I'm betting that they are all wishing that they are not my friends Because now I think we're up to six or seven of them Have whatever it is that I have So they throw me a party, I give them the plague Is basically what it is I feel horrible, horrible about it But, yeah, so, like, the past couple of days, it's been, you know, a text group of everybody checking in on everybody else. Who's throwing up today? There was no throwing up, thank goodness, this time around. But everybody's getting sick. And this is not a fun sick, by the way.

00:03:54 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 4:

So you're the bat that gave everybody COVID.

00:03:57 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 1:

That's exactly what I said to them. I said I'm basically the bat that started COVID at this point.

00:04:02 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 4:

Do you call – wait, okay, so here's the thing. This is how you got to play this whole thing. Do you call them on Saturday and Sunday or do you wait until you're taking a day off from work because you're not feeling that good because you know that they're going to listen to the radio and then go? Like, do you give them forewarning ahead of time or when did you tell them that you were sick?

00:04:22 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, so at the end of that night, I was trying to keep it a secret because I didn't want to bum anybody out, especially my two girlfriends, Lindsay and Ashley, who really were the legs behind planning this whole thing. um i knew that they were so excited and so i didn't want them to know that i wasn't feeling well because i knew that they'd be super sad so i told wes and i guess wes did tell them wes your fiance yes that i that i wasn't feeling that great but i didn't want to cancel it and i knew they weren't going to cancel it um so it wasn't until saturday that i did let everybody know i i am essentially on my deathbed at this point uh how do you let that many people know

00:04:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

but

00:05:00 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I just want you to know that we all felt like we were friends of yours until we were not all invited to this party, but we're happy that we're not friends of yours now. I actually asked you, Megan, on Monday. I go, Megan, did you get an invite to the party? And she goes, no, I didn't get an invite. I go, good. We don't want you sick.

00:05:20 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 2:

Trust me, be grateful. I saw the cake, and I was like, what the hell? Where was my invite? And then I saw the sickness, and I was like, meh.

00:05:28 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

That evil laugh Has that ever happened to any of our listeners Where they got everybody sick Like you were the reason Why everybody got sick Because that's the And you know what's funny is up until 2020 Nobody gave a rat's ass Nobody cared Now it's gotten to a point where it's like Who was the What do they call the person that's the First person infected

00:05:53 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

Patient zero

00:05:55 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 1:

Patient zero? So who was patient zero? Who was that person? Like, that's how it is all the time nowadays because everybody starts worrying about it. But back before that, it was like, you know, honestly, if you said to me on Friday, you said, you know, I wasn't feeling good. I'd be like, oh, okay. Well, who cares? Come on over here. What's going on? Right. You know what I mean? You wouldn't even care. But nowadays, it's like, stay over there.

00:06:19 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

I know.

00:06:20 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

I don't want – we've turned everybody into thinking everybody is part of a plague. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500. Aren't you just happy that all the crazy – like, you go from this unbelievable engagement to this unbelievable birthday party. Enough already. Let's stop celebrating me. Do you feel that way at all?

00:06:46 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, honestly, I am grateful.

00:06:49 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 1:

Give me some time by myself. Honestly. Does it come to that point, though? I actually feel like I'm exhausted looking at your Instagram photos. There's too many celebratory. Give me something else. What's going on, Dimitri?

00:07:10 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

Hi. How are you?

00:07:12 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 1:

Is it Dimitri or did I say your name wrong?

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

It's Dimitri. I have an A.

00:07:16 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 1:

Dimitri, how are you?

00:07:19 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you?

00:07:20 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

00:07:21 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

I got married in August, and, you know, you're always really tired and kind of stressed out the day of. And, you know, I told everybody, yeah, like, I'm just tired. It's just the stress. And literally the day after the wedding, I had full-blown COVID. No.

00:07:37 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God.

00:07:38 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

My husband had to take me to the hospital, like, two days later because my fever was, like, 102, and I hugged every single guest at my wedding. Yeah.

00:07:46 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so you had a super spreader. Congratulations.

00:07:51 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 4:

I did. I did.

00:07:52 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 1:

How many people got it?

00:07:55 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 4:

As we know, nobody. That's the weird part about it. I seem to have been the only one that was really, really sick.

00:08:02 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 1:

Wait, not even your husband?

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

No. He didn't get it either. No.

00:08:07 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing.

00:08:08 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 4:

You're lucky. I just think that, I mean, I wasn't a bridezilla, not that I'm aware of, but I was.

00:08:14 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

Everybody's staying away from me Bridezilla's never know when they're bridezilla's Is it Justin or Justine? Justine, right?

00:08:22 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 3:

Justine What's going on? So I was feeling sick a couple days before COVID Or before Thanksgiving And then I went to my boyfriend's family Thanksgiving And then unfortunately, like His brother, his sister-in-law, his aunt, his uncle Like a whole bunch of people came down with COVID and I was definitely the one that gave it to them all.

00:08:46 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 1:

Give it up for yourself. It's better than food poisoning from your Thanksgiving dinner, right?

00:08:53 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 3:

That is so true. That is very true.

00:08:56 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

00:09:05 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 2:

00:09:55 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

00:11:40 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 1:

Yes Mike thank you Yes thank you I was gonna say To be honest Maybe this is Spike's fault

00:11:45 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 3:

Why is this my fault I wasn't even at the party

00:11:48 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 1:

No I'm just kidding I'm just kidding. But, no, there was some closeness in that party bus, but that was where I would feel. It was probably spread, but, again, all worth it for our girls.

00:12:01 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Was it all? I didn't look closely enough at the pictures. Was it all women? Yes. Okay. Oh, yeah. So there's a lot of angry husbands this morning that you got into. Husbands are all angry. Oh, my God.

00:12:13 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 2:
