WKQI Detroit, WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids, WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:28 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

00:02:30 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 3:

Live. Mojo.

00:02:32 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 2:

Let me take that back to the beginning.

00:02:45 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 4:

This is it.

00:02:45 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 3:

All right, are you ready?

00:02:47 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 4:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:49 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 3:

You're a doo-doo hat.

00:02:54 - 00:03:32 | Unknown:

It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:32 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 3:

good morning and welcome to the mojo in the morning show how are you it's gonna be a fun show today it's gonna be a great day too the weather looks really really good i uh didn't know how to dress though for today because yesterday the temperatures were nice not as warm though it didn't seem like as it will probably be today because we're going to get into the 70s but in our studio the official thermostat read that it was 81 degrees and it is not a good week because the best guy in the world mark our engineer took the week off and he's the only guy i know that knows the true fix which is he has to go on the roof of the building and actually, like, kick our HVAC system that we have. It goes up there.

00:04:34 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 5:

I think he really does. I think that's the fix.

00:04:36 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I don't know specifically if it's kick or if it's, like, take a screwdriver and just start beating the thing. But he does some kind of a fix with it. And so this morning as I was getting up, I'm, like, you know, getting dressed. I'm going, oh, I can't wear this. I can't wear this. I can't wear this. And then I chose a shirt today that is blue, but that means that the pit stains are going to show.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 1:

So I'm going to have, if I start sweating, you will see the sweat that will be pouring down from my armpits.

00:05:08 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 4:

That's so hot. Yeah.

00:05:10 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

Glistening. Glistening. You know, that makes it even better. But, yeah, so I will have the pit stains going. Thank you for the warning. So if I stand like this or if I'm in videos like this, all I'm doing is I'm trying to keep it at a point where my shirt doesn't ever get touched by it. Good morning. Welcome to the show. Shannon was discussing her frustrations of trying to go get Tim Hortons, the little Timmy's.

00:05:42 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 3:

I didn't know if I was going to say the place. Oh, no, you can say it. Is that okay?

00:05:44 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you want to know why you can say it is because it's happening everywhere.

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:05:49 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 1:

But somebody needs to specifically tell us why this is happening at Timmy's right now.

00:05:53 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

So there are several Timmy's on my way into work. And so I have the option of three. And the one that I chose this morning was having some sort of little issue because everything I tried to order, they were out of. I thought I was being pranked, actually. They did not have bagels. They did not have English muffins. No vanilla donut with sprinkles. It's called the vanilla dip at Tim Hortons. No hot chocolate, which I was in the mood for clearly a little sugar today because I wanted a donut. The only thing they had was the medium black coffee that is in front of me. That's it. Nothing else. Finally, as I was ordering all the food, she goes, we have no food. I'm like, what? I go, okay. I don't know what happened.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

Did they explain to you?

00:06:44 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

They also had no hot chocolate. So something didn't get shipped.

00:06:47 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Did they explain to you, like, was it that they didn't get there early enough to make it? Or is it still like the whole supply chain type thing? Or there wasn't people? Because I'm often wondering with this, when you go to places and they have not the item that they normally are known for.

00:07:06 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:07:06 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 1:

Like, how do you go? Like, I think when I think of Tim Hortons, I think Tim Bits and donuts and things like that and bagels and things. Right. I mean, I think their coffee obviously is memorable, but maybe not memorable to children

00:07:19 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

that are going to go in there and have something. And here's the thing. Like I said, there are three on my way in. I didn't go to the first one. I didn't go to the second one. I went to the third one. So there were no more chances for Timmy's on my way in. That was it. I went to the one right

00:07:32 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

over here on 12 mile. So are you the type of person that if you go to one of them and they don't have it, you'll go to the others, like you'll give the others a chance or do you ask them behind the counter can you see if the no if store 145 has it no can you honestly if if they're

00:07:47 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:

out of it i'm like this is god telling me i don't need this today it's a sign after i sit in line

00:07:54 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 1:

like in the drive-thru for a period of time i feel like i need something so i will go believe it or not and stick in line and go through the drive-thru again so i get frustration when i go two places one is with my app i try to order something on instacart you know and they say something like choose items that you want as like a replacement item yeah i know immediately i'm not going to get the right item so i just cancel whatever the product is you know and that's why i started doing like the kroger delivery because they never actually run out of stuff right the other one is when you order starbucks on your app do you guys ever have this happen the only thing that you like from the Starbucks is out like they don't have the whatever the and you don't understand why is it because you can order anything else you want but that one thing and it usually is honestly if you want a caramel macchiato for some reason they don't have caramel

00:08:49 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 4:

or something. Yeah. No the oat milk kills me because us stomach girlies know that if you don't have oat milk well then I can't drink

00:08:55 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

anything there. You can't do any

00:08:57 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 4:

other supplements? You can't do almond milk or coconut milk or anything? Coconut milk to me is so gross and almond milk makes the coffee taste like almonds. Agreed. like nutty. Agree. You don't like nuts? I do, but I'm not looking for nut-flavored coffee.

00:09:12 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 1:

He's starting early, Megan. He's starting early. No, no, no. I just don't like that. I'm just

00:09:16 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 3:

wondering. I like the taste of nuts in my mouth. Did you like that answer, Megan? Hey, now.

00:09:22 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Crystal? Good morning. How are you? Good. What's happening? Actually, I don't know how good Shannon is today. It was a struggle today. So I work for a daycare,

00:09:32 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

And I help with the food order. And, of course, the little kids like cereal. They were out of cereal. We had to go through Walmart to order cereal.

00:09:41 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 1:

Who do you guys normally order cereal from?

00:09:45 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 2:

U.S. Foods.

00:09:46 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so they actually deliver, like, big things of cereal to you guys?

00:09:50 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Yes, like the big, like, packages. But, yeah. There's times that they didn't have milk and they gave us, like, little...

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 4:

cartons of mouth that you see like in elementary school but usually we have like the big jugs that

00:10:05 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 3:

we order oh so you have to pour each little bowl of cereal with a little thing of milk correct yeah that's you know what it's got to be still a supply thing i don't know how tanya you can call yourself this if you don't have this but will you tell your story for us um yes i went to

00:10:23 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

kfc and it was probably about seven o'clock at night and waiting in line waiting in line get up to the speaker, and she's like, I'm sorry, but we're out of chicken. No. I'm like, out of chicken? I'm like, that's in your, like, billboard.

00:10:41 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 3:

That's your name. That's the C. I don't know if you know this, but that's the C in your name. I don't know if anybody ever told you this, lady, but that is the C.

00:10:52 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 5:

I was like, that's the C. So that was a big okay. Wow.

00:10:59 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

So, what did you do? Did you go somewhere else then?

00:11:03 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 5:

Well, I pulled around because they were still letting people, like, wait in line. So, I pulled around and I said, just to let you know, they're out of chicken. So, I sat there and just let the people know. And I'm like, but, you know, Taco Bell has chicken quesadillas if you want.

00:11:20 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, is it one of those KFC Taco Bell places together?

00:11:24 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 5:

No, but there was a Taco Bell right in the same parking lot.

00:11:27 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Because I've often wondered about the ones that are like the combo places, you know, like where it's like, it's usually, what is it, like Wendy's and Tim Hortons sometimes, isn't it?

00:11:38 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 2:

No, it's Tim Hortons and Cold Stone. Is that what it is? It's the one that I see a lot.

00:11:41 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 3:

Okay, and then it's- Or the Taco Hut. Yeah.

00:11:44 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 2:

KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut.

00:11:45 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 3:

Do they ever just go and borrow each other's food? Like, for instance, if you go somewhere, like, say, to, you know, the Taco Bell KFC thing, maybe the Taco Bell has a little bit of chicken that they can actually throw in there for you. It'd be kind of interesting, wouldn't it?

00:12:03 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but I have to give a shout out to my friend Katie who's listening right now. Yes. And so, Mojo, you can't be late on certain things because she times her morning by your show.

00:12:15 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, geez. Oh, God.

00:12:16 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 5:

Ready for work. I always laugh when you're like, oh, I'm really late for this. We've got to get going. I'm like, but you're making my friend Katie late.

00:12:23 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Tell her I apologize for the five at 6.58 that usually happens every single morning.

00:12:30 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 5:

Well, you can apologize to her because we will be seeing you on Friday.

00:12:34 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You're coming to Naughty Moms. I love it.

00:12:37 - 00:12:38 | Unknown:

Yes. Yay.

00:12:39 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 3:

We can't wait to meet you guys. We're going to have some fun.

00:12:42 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 5:

All right, Duncan. You guys have a great day.

00:12:45 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you too. Have a happy early Mother's Day to you. What's up, Kenny?

00:12:50 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going?

00:12:51 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

Good, man. What's going on?

00:12:53 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 1:

So, yeah, actually, I just got off work, and I stopped at a Tim Hortons, and I normally get, like, an everything ham and cheese bagel, and the only one they had in the store, they ended up dropping it on the floor.

00:13:04 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 2:

The only bagel they had. That's what they told me. The one single bagel.

00:13:09 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 3:

I would say five-second rule applies to that one.

00:13:11 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 2:

At that point, you want it bad.

00:13:12 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, I would have, but apparently health codes with policies, so they ended up having to throw it out.

00:13:17 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. They told you, sorry, we can't get you this. The only bagel that we have, we just fumbled onto the floor.

00:13:24 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, no. I ordered the everything bagel with ham and cheese, and they were like, all right, that's our last one. I said, all right, that's whatever. Yeah, I'll take it. And then the lady ended up coming to the drive-thru window, and she was like, my employee actually just dropped it on the floor.

00:13:36 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 3:

I would be like, I promise you I won't turn you in. Give me the GD bagel right now. I don't care. I know, right? Yeah, that's awful. Amy, what's happening?

00:13:48 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning, guys. Good morning. One time I was at B-Dubs, and like the adult I am, I was trying to order chicken tenders, and they told me they were out of chicken tenders, but I could order the chicken tender salad. And I was like, what are you talking about?

00:14:04 - 00:14:05 | Unknown:

I'm eating the chicken tender salad.

00:14:08 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 3:

What did they say?

00:14:11 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 5:

she like looked at me baffled i was like why is this so hard i don't want the lettuce just

00:14:18 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 3:

give me the salad or just give me the tender it doesn't seriously seem like it's uh out of the question right just take it right off and give it to me i was like okay i'll just have plain

00:14:32 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 5:

wings then please the french that's the closest i'm going to get out here oh my god that might

00:14:39 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

be the funniest story of them all uh cindy hi welcome to mojo in the morning what's happening

00:14:45 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

not much um shannon talking about tim hortons i'm calling from windsor and i'm a school bus driver here and i go through tim hortons by my place every morning yeah i went through one morning to get my coffee and i got told they were

00:15:00 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 1:

Out of dark roast. Oh, no coffee at Tim Hortons.

00:15:03 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 4:

Really? Yeah. So what did you do? Did you get like a Pepsi?

00:15:08 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 1:

No, I had to get the regular, but I prefer dark roast. Oh, okay. By the way, Tim Hortons coffee in Canada tastes so different, and it is 10 million percent better. Why? And I love it here. It's just, I don't know. There's something magical about the Tim Hortons coffee in Canada, but it is so good.

00:15:26 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 4:

Bus driver Cindy, what is it, do you think?

00:15:29 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 1:

No clue.

00:15:30 - 00:15:31 | Speaker 4:

It's you Canadians.

00:15:31 - 00:15:37 | Speaker 3:

They probably send all the good beans to their stores there because it's their flagship, right? Mm-hmm.

00:15:37 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 1:

Flagship country. Does that work? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, because Tim Hortons originally started in Canada. Yeah. Yeah.

00:15:43 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask you a question? As a bus driver, what's it like to be in Canada and drive on the opposite side of the road than we drive in over here?

00:15:50 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 1:

Are you joking? We drive on the same side you do.

00:15:53 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you do? Oh, okay. I didn't know that. I'm sorry.

00:15:56 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 1:

Nice drive.

00:15:57 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 4:

I just got scolded by a bus driver. I felt like I was back in school all over again. I give you aid for effort, Mojo. I appreciate that so much, Cindy. Have a great day. Be safe.
