all right it is mojo in the morning show so first before i get into this whole thing i want you to know that i am pro legalization of marijuana all right i just want to say that the only reason i want to say that because i don't want anybody coming after me because they think that i am like opposed to people being able to you know smoke weed and enjoy edibles but it's got to stop guys it's got to stop yesterday i'm at the mall and i'm picking up my son's clothes for his prom and his graduation, and I am in the department store, I won't say which one, and I'm in the department store, and I'm not kidding you, I thought I was in a dispensary because the amount of weed smell that I heard, or I smelled all over the place. It was so pungent. Do we need to go over the pipe senses? I could hear it.

00:03:29 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

That's how bad it was. Or was it you?

00:03:32 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 4:

It was honestly so bad. Ready for this? So bad that when I got in my car after being in the store for probably a half an hour or less, I could still smell it on me. I got the contact on me from it.

00:03:48 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 8:

It rubbed off.

00:03:48 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 4:

It was so amazing. And all I kept thinking to myself was, the people who go and they just smoke weed and they go into a store like that, they can't try clothes on in the rooms.

00:04:01 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I didn't even think about that. Because all the clothes are going to smell. Yeah, it's going to all smell.

00:04:05 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 4:

And so I wanted to kind of just throw this out there. And I don't want to be, you know, too, you know, we've had a happy kind of fun, upbeat show, it seems like today. All having fun. But I just want to throw this out there and ask the question, where's the craziest place that you smelled weed? Because that to me was crazy, but it's also, I'm sure, crazier when people smell it in other places.

00:04:29 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 8:

I'm telling you, every time I take the kids to see Disney on ice, I get a contact high. Stop it. Why are you smoking weed at Disney on Ice? I don't know. No, I know. You're right. You're right. It probably makes the show up. Okay, but.

00:04:46 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Are they the characters that are in the costumes? Or who are they that are doing this?

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

It's like tradition at this point that Smith will go, Mom, it smells like there's a skunk in the building. I'm like, it does. It really does.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 1:

It is unbelievable.

00:05:02 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 5:

Every time.

00:05:03 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Liz, what's happening?

00:05:09 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

00:05:10 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

00:05:13 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so my comment is I have a feeling I know the mall that he was at. Yes. I used to work there. I'm not going to name it, but I used to work there. And as a manager, we had a huge issue with customers, like, baking in the car, coming in, like, leaving a trail of weed everywhere, and then having to be escorted out. So it was, like, a huge issue. A lot of people were complaining about the smell. Super, super strong.

00:05:40 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

It was unbelievable. Like, I'm not going to – and I like the smell of weed. I actually don't mind it so much. But it was so bad Like I was saying that There was a couple of moments All I wanted to do was go to the food court And get the Chick-fil-A that they have there You know

00:05:55 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, good thing they have it there But yeah, no, the thing is People would come into my store And they'd be like, you know what I just went into this one other place for five minutes It smells so bad Like marijuana So they have like weed I'm like, yeah, I hear this like every day It's a huge problem

00:06:13 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

Can't you do edibles? Honestly, like if I smell you At a traffic light I'm like Can't you just go Get a couple gummies And enjoy it Or vape pens Don't smell as bad What's up Jennifer

00:06:23 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 3:

So I My wife and I Went to my daughter's Middle school Choir concert Middle school Right And we're sitting there And the people Behind us Had their Kid that kept crying So they took them out In the lobby I don't know 10-15 minutes later They come back Reeks of weed I'm thinking We're going to have a school event for middle school. I'm sorry. Like, couldn't you have waited until afterwards? Like, did you get your kid high to quiet them down? Wept out from all of, like, the bad singing.

00:07:05 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You are the best. Jennifer, thank you so much. Appreciate it. I'm serious, man.

00:07:12 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

I was going to pull right over and stop. Oh, my God.

00:07:16 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 1:

Look at this. Oh, my God. I know you're trying to call these people. I'll read them, but I want them to call. 419 says, all the time at the hospital I work at in the labor and delivery area, it smells like weed. Those kids aren't crying. I guarantee you they're not crying.

00:07:35 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 4:

It's a stressful day for Dad. He has to hold a woman's hand.

00:07:39 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true. I guess it calms you down a little bit. Ready for this one? Mojo, have you ever been to the county courthouse? Because I have. People smelling like weed with the law right there. I know it's legal, but what's going on, Carrie? How you doing?

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you?

00:07:58 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

Good. Where does it smell like weed all the time?

00:08:01 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 4:

My favorite is when I get my store deliveries and the driver or the shopper has been smoking in the car while they're bringing it to my home. Yes, yes, yes.

00:08:11 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

That's a big one.

00:08:12 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 1:

That's a big one.

00:08:13 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 4:

And, you know, most recently birthday presents I needed same day were delivered, and I literally couldn't give my cousin her gift because it was so bad.

00:08:22 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, yes, because they'll think it's you.

00:08:25 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, just in general, and it seeps through, like, the food and also, you know, just the bag.

00:08:31 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know, that happens a lot, like, any time that you get – it seems like, honestly, the Instacart people are the big smokers. Yeah. What's going on, Bella?

00:08:41 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm Bella. So I'm a first-grade teacher, and sometimes students have that smell on them when they come to school. Oh, yeah.

00:08:50 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

From their parents?

00:08:52 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

I'm assuming so. I teach first grade, so I'm assuming so. And one time at conferences, a parent totally not liked it.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 1:

You know who it is right away then, right?

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:09:05 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. First-grade kids.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's very sad.

00:09:10 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

Tracy, where was it?

00:09:12 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

I'm a terrible human being. I got high at the Holocaust Museum.

00:09:18 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, gosh. Well, okay, even I have limits.

00:09:23 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 5:

I didn't smoke. I took an edible there, and then I went in, and I started hyperventilating because it was terrifying. Yeah, what were you doing? And it was my birthday.

00:09:35 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez. By the way, the Holocaust Museum, I'm sure...

00:09:40 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 5:

Were you chaperoning a field trip? I, I, no, thank God. I was there for my birthday, but it was, um, I went to the one in Washington, D.C., actually.

00:09:48 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Okay, because I was going to say, the one that's by us here in, uh, West Bloomfield's amazing, it's...

00:09:53 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, not that, not that the museums, both of those are not amazing, but I didn't know why you chose to go on your phone.

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no.

00:09:59 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I feel like it's...

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 6:

an important place to go, don't get me wrong, but it seems like a weird choice for a birthday celebration. Right.

00:10:04 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

Of sound mind and body, please, when you're there. What's going on, Chris?

00:10:09 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 8:

Hi.

00:10:10 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Oh, I smell it all the time here. I know you're going to call out. Where do you smell it?

00:10:16 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 8:

Well, at the movie theater. So my son and I, we live in Ohio, so it's not legal here. And we had went on vacation in Chicago and, you know, we smelled it. It's legal there, So we smelled it on the streets of Chicago, and we were at the movie theater, and he said, Mom, it smells like Chicago here.

00:10:38 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. Leah, where were you?

00:10:43 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 6:

I was at work, and I work in a doctor's office.

00:10:48 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 4:

Oh, man.

00:10:49 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 6:

And it was actually a co-worker.

00:10:51 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh. Is this co-worker a nurse or one of the office people?

00:10:57 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 6:

She's a nurse. However, it wasn't actually her husband smokes weed, so she actually put a sweater on that he had just worn and going outside and wore it to work. So the whole day, she smelled like weed, and nobody said anything because we were so scared to say anything. But this poor nurse, like, after the fact, the next day she came in, and she was so mortified. I felt so bad. But, yeah, the whole day, she just reeked like weed, so she'd be bringing patients back to rooms. And every time she would walk by, you would just get that wah.

00:11:31 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 4:

All the patients left the rooms with a big smile on their face, right?

00:11:35 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, exactly. They're probably thinking, I want what she's got.

00:11:39 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 4:

Right. What's up, Kate?

00:11:42 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Hi. So I took my daughter to the Fisher Theater to see Cocomelon Live. And I was so excited. But the entire place, week to week, there was. I'm telling you, these kid shows, it's a hot spot. I know. I was like, I understand why you're doing it, but I'm kind of worried my two and a half jokes.

00:12:05 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 4:

Somebody just texted in and said at a funeral that they went to, it reeked of weed. And then the labor and delivery texter, Laura, answered her phone. Laura, are you there?

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 7:

I am.

00:12:17 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 4:

Who is it? Is it the, hopefully not the mom that's the one that smelled like weed, right?

00:12:20 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 7:

um well sometimes postpartum after they had the baby but usually in the labor and delivery it was the dad you'd see them go out and be gone for a little while and then they come back and the whole room would smell i walked in a room once there was a guy um laid out his stuff on her bedside table and was rolling a blunt right there oh my god do you say something to him when that's happening or no oh oh my wow no oh my i'm not gonna be that one
