I got a quick question. Do we have any car guys listening right now? I don't know if this is a time that car people listen, but we got a lot of people that are in the car industry here. So I am in need of a couple vehicles, which is probably not a good time to be having to buy a couple vehicles. I put an order in at Gordon Chevrolet to do another Tahoe. I think I'm going to do, I was going to do an electric car for myself. and then decided that, you know, I'm going to go with the Tahoe because I love it so much.

Didn't you say there's an electric Tahoe or something?

No, they have, well. What is it?

They have the Super Cruise that's on it.

That's right.

Yeah, which I guess they have it on all the GM SUVs. And I've talked to a couple of friends and one of my friends has a GMC Denali and they said that they love this thing. Like you go on the highway and the thing will like drive itself kind of like, you know, the Teslas do. Yeah. So I am currently looking for another car because we got, you know, a son that needs, you know, vehicles and stuff like that and Chels and stuff. So the car that I am looking at right now as a secondary car, I went to go pick up over the weekend, you know, and they, I actually was, this was the thing. I had asked them, because have you ever gone a car test drive before? Usually a car test drive that I've ever done in my life has always been, you go to the dealership, you go to a test drive and the guy or the lady drives next to you and sits or sits in the car next to you.

So it used to be like that. My, my most recent one, they just let me go off, you know, and come back.

Okay. And Moran, they do that. Okay. Yes.

They let me go off and then I came back.

All right. And that's another one that I've done before too, where they just say, Hey, go take it. Well, now I'm at a point where I want to see what the car is like and I want to drive it but i also want to drive it and see what it's like at my house i know it sounds weird to say this but i wanted to see if it would fit in my garage with the way that we have the you know the configuration of all the crap that we have and they said to me well hey we got this thing right now and i said what's that you can take it for the entire weekend and i was like really

i was kind of like i'd be so dang nervous something really yes oh i was like so excited

about it i was like this is the greatest thing ever no i'm me really you know my track record

with cars i would have something for the weekend and something god would happen to the car yeah

i noticed by the way are you driving a new car is that a loner that's a loner that's it's from the body shop i'm getting my car back today yeah all right so so i said the guy yeah i'll do the weekend thing this was the wildest thing he said to me he goes okay no problem let me go get the keys and then he comes back and he goes hey can i just have your driver's license for one second and he takes a picture of my driver's license with his phone and goes, all right, well, there it is right there. Go take it. And I'm like, that's it. And I kept thinking to myself, this is easier than getting a library book, which I haven't done in probably two decades at the library. Usually they scan things and they do all kinds of stuff. And mind you, I've not returned library books back to the West Bloomfield library in probably two decades too. I probably am at home.

I wonder what they do if you don't like, are you supposed to return it today?

Well, I was wondering what, so here's the deal. The guy, the car guy told me that he'd call me today. Preston is his name. He said, he'll call me today and I can drop it off or whatever I'm going to do. And I, and I thought to myself, I'm like, Oh, okay. What if I don't take his call? Like, what if I keep the car?

keep driving the car? How long can I keep the car? And then I wondered to myself, has this ever happened to any car dealers or car salespeople where a person went on a test drive and never

came back? Or maybe it was you. Maybe you're the one that went on the test drive and just kept the car. You think we have thieves that are listening to the show? I mean, he would probably show up at your house. Really? I'm guessing because he has your address from your driver's license. What if I didn't give him the right one? What if I gave him the one that didn't have the star? What if I

Or if they have, like, ways. I'm sure they have ways to track down where you are in these cars, too. You know what I mean? With, like, the nav systems or something.

I almost want to call up some of the car people that we know, like Mike Porter over at Gordon Chevrolet, and just say to Mike, hey, Mike, has there ever been? But I don't want him to be upset with me because I'm getting my Tahoe, but this is a car from a different brand. So, well, that's the other one too. Anytime you have a car, I always feel guilty like this. Have you ever had your friends that feel guilty when they get into your car and the car is on another radio station?

It's when I get into their car, including my husband, and he has the bounce, and I can tell that's what he's been listening to. Shame on him.

Yeah, but you know what? That happens.

And they're like, oh, you know, somebody else was in the car and had it switched. I'm like, it's okay.

You should see, by the way, you should see this car. I've preset the radio station to every single preset. So when I do eventually return this car, maybe in two years, in 36 months, 12,000 miles a year, I'm going to return it. And it's got every single one of these things. Hey, Lydia, what do you drive? You drive like a Jeep Grand Cherokee? Is that what you drive or something like that? Did your dad let you go and pick it out yourself and do everything yourself or did you do it all?

My dad picked out everything for me and then I just took the car.

By the way, thank God that they do let you do the actual test drive where you just take it out and come back by yourself. Because I was always so self-conscious and nervous when there would be Chris Beck from Moran in the front seat next to me. I am not a great driver. I feel judged the entire time. I can't even enjoy and try to decide if I want this car or not because somebody's watching me.

And you think that they're judging your driving.

I know they are.

Did you ever hear the story about Chelsea's dad, Joe Micheletti, is a car salesperson. And he went on a car test drive with a person when he was selling Toyotas back in the day. And the woman went home to change her laundry from the washer to the dryer. and then realized she had to pick up her kids at school. So he had to go to the car pickup line with her and then came back and was questioning whether she was going to buy the car afterwards.

I'm telling you, though, that's real life. That's what you need to do with these cars.

Well, this guy, he came in, gave us his driver's license, which is like, well, we obviously have your picture from your driver's license. And, you know, you signed a form saying your test drive. It ended up taking the cops like three days to track down the car. Wow. And his house, he was local. and we couldn't find it. He kept just driving around.

That's crazy. And these cars do have GPS systems to be able to look at them, like OnStars and things like that, right?

Yeah, a lot of them all do have that feature and everything. But you'll love that Super Cruise feature. I have it on my Silverado EV and absolutely love it.

Everybody tells me. I'm so excited about it. I actually ended up having to order it because they didn't have one on the lot and none of the other dealers would trade with them for one of the ones.
