On the phone with us right now, we'll be in town. Hold on a second. Hold on. Why is that not playing through? I had it all playing through the control board here, and it was so good. You were ready. It didn't play through. I'll get it for you before you end here, Tracy. Tracy Wolfson from CBS Sports will be doing the – yeah, clap. Yeah! She will be in town for Thanksgiving, spending Thanksgiving in Detroit, which I've got so much stuff to ask you about when you guys do this and you never get to have a Thanksgiving at home because she, along with Jim Nance and Tony Romo, will be doing the Lions game on Thursday. What's up, Tracy? How are you?

00:01:43 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing great. I love listening to Conversation of Wicked and Hamilton. That's my favorite. I love it. I get the chance, obviously.

00:01:52 - 00:01:59 | Speaker 2:

You actually just, didn't you take the kids in your family to go see? What was it that you guys just recently saw? I saw it on social media.

00:01:59 - 00:02:10 | Speaker 1:

We saw that we went to the premiere of Santa 1, Red 1. Red 1. Oh, it's me and the Rock Thompson. Yeah, the Rock movie. Honestly, it was really fun. Yeah, I saw that yesterday.

00:02:10 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 2:

I actually, can I tell you?

00:02:12 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was good, right?

00:02:13 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 2:

Wait, did you get the invite from the Rock himself? Like, was he at a game or something like that? That's pretty cool.

00:02:20 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 1:

I did not. I got it through Paramount. But we did get a chance to say hi to him, which was pretty cool. And I will tell you, he did send a bar mitzvah message to my 13-year-old, my middle son. So I had a chance to thank him for that. He's one of the best guys ever. He walked up and down that whole premiere to every single person. Talked to them, signed something, kibitzed. I mean, you name it. He took all the time in the world to do that. I was so impressed when I walked away.

00:02:49 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you how impressed I am with you? So I got a chance to hang out with Tracy. and I felt weird saying this, but co-host this event for U of M. Tracy is a Wolverine, go blue, and her son is also a Wolverine. So will your son be here in Michigan for Thanksgiving, or does he get to go home and then come back to Ann Arbor? Like, how does that work out?

00:03:15 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, he's home. He came home after the Northwestern game, wanted to stay for the final home game. and he came home Saturday very late and he'll go back next Sunday which is just like ironic I guess the two times I'm in Detroit this year to do a game he's going to be home

00:03:33 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 2:

that's crazy that is so crazy

00:03:36 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 1:

I leave tomorrow first thing in the morning to head out to Detroit

00:03:40 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 2:

how does this work by the way you never get to have a Thanksgiving at home because you're always working on Thanksgiving with Jim Nance and Tony

00:03:47 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 1:

yeah I haven't had a Thanksgiving at home I've covered the NFL for 11 years, so it's definitely 11. And then even when I did college, we had LSU Arkansas a bunch of times. And so, I don't know, 15-plus years. But we do our Thanksgiving tonight. It's our Tuesday Thanksgiving. It's a tradition we've been doing forever. My mom and her husband come over. She makes all of the old specialties she made growing up for me. And I contribute as well. And it's really small. It's intimate. And it's a great tradition for our family. We always look forward to it.

00:04:21 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys, though, the CBS crew, have a Thanksgiving, though, at Ford Field? Like, do they put something together for you?

00:04:28 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 1:

So we do. We actually will do ours tomorrow night with our whole crew, which is very rare. We get not only our production team but our tech team. So it's about over, I think it's about 100 people. We even invite the officials and their families if they're in town.

00:04:42 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 2:

That's great.

00:04:43 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Which is really cool. Yep. So we'll do that Wednesday night. And then, you know, we serve a Thanksgiving to the winner, basically. You know, they get the turkey leg and a big turkey. Yeah. Whoever wins the game. So, who knows? I mean, who do you think I'm going to be presenting the turkey leg? Oh, come on. You know, Trey.

00:05:00 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, the Lions look so good. We've never been this on high here in Detroit, Tracy. This is like, last time I saw you, you could even see it. People, like there's that palpable feeling around after Michigan wins the national championship and then, of course, now the Lions are playing great football.

00:05:20 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 1:

It's awesome. It really is. It makes me so happy. You know, I didn't grow up a Lions fan. I grew up a struggling Jets fan, so it's been painful. So I have no problem adopting another team. And I have no problem making that the Lions.

00:05:32 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

Tracy, talk about the Lions right now and talk about this fandom that the Lions are experiencing, traveling from city to city, rooting on their team, and then kind of what's the buzz been around the league as we get ready for this game on Thursday?

00:05:46 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what happens when you win, right? Your fans want to travel with you. You know, they want to be there for every game, be a part of it for a special season, a historic season. Who knows how this season ends up? up and we know you know the expectations that are there the lions playing tremendous football uh certainly playing the best in the league to my you know in in terms of what how i've seen you know the team so far haven't had a chance to see them in person and i can't wait because uh they seem to have it on both sides of the ball and i talk about this a lot teams that have it and i talk about kansas city's just that team they have it on both sides of the ball you can just feel it it's this aura i talked about the commanders are starting to find it you know they're still young but they have it when you're around them detroit has it they really do on both sides of the football and then it stems from the top and then down to the coach and to the quarterback and you know to both sides of the all three sides of the football and so you just can feel it you know it's palpable and so uh that's why they're winning and i expect uh you know i

00:06:56 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

expect to see them in the super bowl i really hope we do god tracy here's here's the biggest question of them all forget the lions what's it like seeing taylor swift up close and personal like you have i mean she had but one of the most viral things that tracy has ever done is a picture of you seeing taylor walk into isn't it crazy when she walks into these games and and the the amount

00:07:18 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

of people that are there waiting for her and you would think that after like once or twice of me doing that where i stand and watch her i wouldn't need to still be there every time but for some reason i'm like drawn to it you know i'm drawn to her i just want to be present i just want to and i'm not like a starstruck person you know i'm surrounded by celebrities all time i don't get starstruck about anyone but for some reason she just is captivating and i need to be there every time i was actually disappointed we were at the buffalo game so the buffalo chiefs game and i only had one other Chiefs game this season so the fact that I didn't get to see her she wasn't there and I was like she's in Toronto how is she not there well Jared Goff Jared Goff has a very

00:08:01 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

beautiful uh wife oh she is Chris is stunning yeah so go go get you post her every quarterback

00:08:11 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

exactly and give me all the gossip so I can use it in the dirty in the 30 please

00:08:16 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 2:

that's a little creepy can I wait can I can I say something real quick and I know you got to run And Tracy Wolfson on with us right now from CBS. This woman is one of the nicest human beings you'll ever meet. I have heard nothing but spectacular things about you. I've always been a fan of yours, watching you on television. But the thing that I like the most, and I think every one of our listeners, because we have a huge female listenership here, she is a champion for other women, especially women in media. and I have heard nothing but the greatest things from people that have come up in the broadcasting business of how you will return every phone call, you will answer every email or text message, DM, all that stuff. And you are always there to tell women, hey, continue to work your butt off to be in this business. And you're awesome, Tracy. I love that.

00:09:12 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. That was very kind, Mojo. I really appreciate it. and you know how much I appreciate you. I really enjoyed our time together, and I enjoyed being on the show. So thank you guys for having me, and a happy Thanksgiving to all of you and to all your listeners out there.

00:09:26 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

And again, I told you, if your son and all of his friends want to go to our Jingle Ball on December 10th, let me know, and whatever tickets they want, they got, okay?

00:09:35 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. That's very sweet. All right, go blue, and good luck to your Lions, everyone.

00:09:39 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 2:

Yes, and go Lions. Yes, you cannot say go Lions because they can't root for teams, right? Although we know you're rooting for us.

00:09:47 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 3:

We're rooting for Tracy.

00:09:48 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, imagine this, Tracy. Imagine that the Lions win the Super Bowl. Your son's going to be right there in downtown Detroit probably at the parade hanging out and partying with all of his Michigan.

VGW Group. Voidware prohibited by law. CTs and Cs. 21 Plus. Sponsored by Chumba Casino. This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:11:18 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department, and I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will internship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day. Ready to make

00:12:03 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 4:
