Shannon, this question is one of those ones where I think that I got to give it up to the women to be able to answer this question. Because I don't know as a guy if I would look bad if I answered it. But how many piercings does a person get to the point where they become trashy?

I don't think it's any secret that I'm pretty conservative when it comes to appearance. Like, I don't technically ever really show a ton of skin or I don't know. Like, I'm not conservative when it comes to other things, but dressing. To our male listeners dismay. I don't know about that. Okay. So my sweet stepdaughter already has two ear piercings. she's about to turn 16 years old and she is begging her dad and I, she's begging Wes and I for thirds. So one more piercing in each of her ears. And Wes and I agree that that is a big nope. Because I say once you go more than two it starts to look a little trashy. Oh, for real? I don't know. I mean, I don't know. Is it placement?

So we just keep saying no. By the way, I hope that those that I have. You can. I know I'm going to get attacked on this. It is my personal opinion. Here's what you say. Looks good on you.

She disagrees. She disagrees with us. And she's like, it's so cute, though. And she's showing us all the earrings, how she would arrange, you know, the different earrings. And what we're like, we're holding firm on. It is not happening. And she's like, for my sweet 16, can I get the third?

She's selling it. No. So currently she has four Pearsons, two in each year.

Yeah.

And now she's won a total of six.

Yeah.

I think it's fine. I think there are women out there who look extremely attractive with multiple earrings. I mean, you like Malika Andrews from ESPN. She's got her whole lobe going crazy. Women.

Yeah, women for sure. Not 15-year-old girl. Interesting. Okay?

I think that's actually a good question. I think Wes has talked to her mom about it. I think her mom is cooler than us.

and probably would say, go for it.

So I actually am going to go the opposite route with this. I think it looks trashy when people get their baby's ears pierced. And I know that there's a lot of my Mexican friends that are listening. And Italian friends. Interesting. They go out and do it. Whenever you get a baby's ears pierced, I'm like going, come on, don't do that to that kid. The kid's got a bigger earring in their ear than their ear lobe is. You know what I mean?

You know why a lot of them do that, though, is because supposedly there's very little pain.

Yeah, I don't know.

When they get it done as a baby as opposed to a 10-year-old.

My sister Mary Jo did that with her kids. And she's married to a Mexican guy. And I said to her, I go, what are you doing? And she's like, it's part of the culture. I go, come on. Part of the culture. So you tell me you marry a guy that has a part of the culture where they put like a big old thing in their nose? You do that?

Since we're sharing, I'm not a fan of all these women getting nose rings. like it looks nice on some women but then it left from being oh this is something I like and it turned into like this is something everybody's doing it looks nice I'm just going to be a part of the trend it's not for everybody knows

oh my god hi first time long time how many holes you got I've been listening to you guys for about 15 or 20 years I love it I would say more like 15 because I'm turning 20 this year. Okay.

And what are your thoughts on this?

So I have to disagree because one of my friends, she has the industrial piercings, the regular piercings on her ears, and then like three lining up on her earlobe. And it looks really nice on her.

Yeah.

And I think just in general, the piercings, it depends on the person, not just like, like it doesn't fit anyone.

It depends on the person. It depends on the ear. It depends on, honestly, where it's done. It depends on the jewelry that they choose. I really do think that a lot of this makes a lot of sense.

I have heard all of these arguments in my house.

She's not bending. I'm telling you. Is it more the piercings or that she's 15?

Both.

So Lucy, who just turned 11, now is entering into this argument. And she's like, if Sam gets her third, I get my second. you can't say yes to her and no to me what do you think of her getting a second absolutely not she's 11 years old no no well do you think that part of your thing with sam

and objection with sam is because of lucy you know lucy will be following no but now it makes

me want to double down on it more it wasn't that wasn't even part of the equation at first

it just got thrown in there about a week or two ago emily is on with us and emily has 13 pair scenes and she obviously disagrees with shannon i'm guessing 13 in your ear no so i have four

in my um like lobe and then i have um both my conscious done and my helix what are those what explain what that is for dumb guys like me okay so the conscious like in the middle of your ear. Okay. Like right before you like put like the Q-tip in your ear. I don't know how to explain it. Oh, okay. So I have a rook piercing too. It's kind of like the Helix. That's the concept. Or not the Helix, the industrial, but it's like in your inner ear. But yeah, I definitely disagree with Shannon, but everyone has their own opinion, you know. She's young, she might regret it.

No, no. So I have most of them in my ears, but then I have, like, them in my nose as well. So I actually went to go get one of mine.

my daughter is 32 and she started getting them at 18 and I told her don't do it she's got these big gaping holes in her ear

although I gotta tell you though it makes for fun playing like Nerf ball Nerf basketball and stuff with them Cody and Promo got gauges big old there are definitely some people

at least the piercings will close the gauges do not

yeah gauges is a lot that's definitely a commitment like I said I've never gotten even a tattoo at all because I've never been committed to anything at all to say I was wanting to get it

I had to get in my ear do you know that one of the biggest fights I ever had with Chelsea was we had a bet on the show and I lost the bet to everybody and I had to get my belly button pierced. She was so embarrassed that I had my belly button pierced.

But no ears.

I did my ear pierce, too.

See, I don't see. So Wes used to have his ears pierced, and he still has the holes.
