Was there anything in trending news

00:02:20 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 6:

that you didn't cover today that you want to have me cover?

00:02:24 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 7:

Do you mean in the Dirty that I didn't cover?

00:02:26 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 6:

Oh, the Dirty, I'm sorry, yeah. Because it's funny because I was watching, I really didn't pay attention to anything television-wise last night or news-wise. I kind of was like in my own mode with Chelsea home. I was thinking, this is great. I haven't been with her in such a long time. she's going to miss me, and she's going to want me to, like, you know, cuddle up with her and stuff.

00:02:48 - 00:02:49 | Speaker 2:

Did she?

00:02:49 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 6:

No. It took her eight hours. It took her eight hours to put her suitcase stuff away. She's one of those people that, unlike you, Megan, she puts all – she, like, empties her suitcase out and puts stuff in the dirty clothes, and she does all that.

00:03:06 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 2:

You know what's nice about never unpacking now is every time I need to pack again, it's halfway done.

00:03:10 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 6:

Really?

00:03:11 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:03:12 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 6:

All right. Well, listen, I'm going to say this. I wish I was married to Megan, Chelsea. So that I... Because I know Megan came home. There's Chris Webber. Is that Chris Webber? C-Web. C-Web. Come on. Get him. Come on. Tell him, come on.

00:03:29 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

Do you think... Come on out. C-Web. Is he coming?

00:03:31 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 6:

Come on.

00:03:32 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 7:

Pull up on me.

00:03:32 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 6:

He's waving. Come on. He's waving. Come on. Say hi to us. Say hi to us.

00:03:37 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 7:

He's coming over. He's coming over. Is he? No, he's not.

00:03:39 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 6:

No, no, he's not.

00:03:40 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 7:

C-Web. Oh, he's signing autographs for all the little kids.

00:03:43 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 6:

Here, go grab him. Go grab him. All right, so let me tell you this. So I want to hear the craziest. On our podcast yesterday, on our podcast, yeah, KP, go down there and grab him. He'll come up for you. See where? So here's the story. Pickleball, yesterday we were talking on the podcast about Pickleball. I go to the store yesterday, and I end up bumping into a guy who is the president President of the National Pickleball Association, which is the professional league that these guys do their pickleball. Really?

00:04:17 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 5:

Ladies and gentlemen, member of the Fab Five. The greatest smile in basketball history. Yes, indeed. Please welcome Chris Webber. Let's go, baby. Let's go. Hey, what's up? How you guys doing? What's up, man? Good.

00:04:33 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 6:

Good. Dude, that smile got you out of so much stuff, didn't it? Did that smile get you anything you wanted?

00:04:38 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, except with mom and dad.

00:04:39 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

My favorite thing of watching you ever play from way back in even high school days, you just had that little smile on your face, and I knew that smile was saying,

00:04:51 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

don't let the smile fool you, though. He was a beast. Beast out there. Yeah, a lot of smiling was just because you enjoy the game.

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 4:

so much you're playing with guys that you love and it's you know we were having fun yeah we sincerely you put the work in and when you know you're working hard you know you're giving your all that makes you you know it allows you to have fun without you know any extra thoughts yeah

00:05:13 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

you uh you were one of my seriously like one of my favorites man you could play any position basically on the on the court and and uh now i'm you know looking at the game right now and how different the game is and how it's like i feel like this like this last championship actually was a little bit more fun than past ones i feel like the past ones all it was was shooting threes non-stop and that's it um do you like the way the game is being played now the nba's game is being

00:05:39 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 4:

played i think the players are great i think they're super skilled here move the mic up just a little closer i think the players i think the players are great i think um you know uh the evolution of the game has been incredible but i still think it's about the system and the coaching that's why if you look at the teams probably we enjoy the most it was uh the joker malone his dad coach here for the pistons um shout out to them and uh it was uh back cutting passing layups and when you look at golden state you get fooled because steph shoots so many incredible threes but in the fourth quarter when you go out there what happens he back cuts and he gets a layup and that's the system of basketball shout out to coach carrill at princeton because he you know started a lot of that but yeah I think it's the she doesn't know what you're talking I came in at 16 I'm playing like 52 just gave me he just gave me a little piece of advice and I feel so much better

00:06:48 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Give it up for that guy. How great is he? By the way, that team, that Fab Five, was still the greatest team ever in college basketball history. Put the banners back on the freaking rafters. You know what? If that was Michigan State, guess what? They'd be up there, right? They never would have taken those things down. All right, thank you.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

So let's go green over here.

00:07:12 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 2:

So going back to my story about pickleball. No, I ran into literally the guy who was like the head of the pickle. Like he's the commissioner of pickleball. And he said he's going to do some stuff with us. Okay. So not washing your pillowcase for just a week causes buildup 17,000 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. I tell you a story.

00:07:36 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

I wanted to vomit. Because how often do you wash your pillowcases? Not often. That makes me feel better about public doubt. Chelsea does all the time.

00:07:41 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

So she's always washing them.

00:07:42 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 3:

So I wash my sheets every other week. My pillowcase, sometimes I do wash on a weekly basis, but most often with the rest of the sheets every other week. So when I read this story, I wanted to barf.

00:07:52 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

They say that swab test cover from pillowcases came up with dead skin cells, sweat, feces, and saliva because that's the thing. We all, like, drool all over our pillows.

00:08:07 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 3:

Think about that 17,000 times dirtier than your oily suit. Doesn't that make you feel better about public bathrooms, though?

00:08:13 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:14 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

It does for me.

00:08:15 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

That's always something I have wondered in the past when we do those stories, how many people look at the bright side.

00:08:20 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

Public. And this is why we don't humper. Oh, my God, stop.

00:08:25 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

The controversial things that we pretend to hate, but we actually seriously will use or love or consume. What do you guys think are some of these things? Ready? Pumpkin spice. People always will talk about how much they hate pumpkin spice. They love it. Being a fanatic like a Taylor Swift fan, a BTS fan, Marvel fan, Nickelback or Creed.

00:08:50 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 3:

I told you. Oh, that's a great one.

00:08:52 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 1:

People always will talk about how bad Nickelback or Creed are. You love it. You absolutely love it. You just don't like it or say you don't like it because everybody says they don't like it. The word moist.

00:09:03 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

People say that they don't like it, but they'll use it. And emojis. Those are some of the top things that people will claim that they hate publicly to people, but secretly will like it. Out of all those ones, which ones do you think is the most obvious out of it?

00:09:20 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 1:

Probably the Nickelback one.

00:09:24 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 2:

Because a Nickelback song comes on, and I go, that's actually not a bad song. Mine is, was it Far Away or whatever that song is? I forget what it is. It came on randomly on one of my, you know, playlists. And I was like, Shannon, in the dirty, we've been talking about the celebrity nude weight loss drug, which is Ozempic, Wegovi, all that stuff. Well, now a game changer is coming into effect. No longer will you have to take it in shot form, but now it's going to be developed in pill form. Yeah. And the company says that they're going to make enough of this stuff that it will be okay for even the people with the type 2 diabetes to not have to worry because their shots won't be used. Why didn't they think of this in the beginning?

00:10:13 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Do you know anybody who's taken it? Because I do. Yes, you do.

00:10:16 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

I do, and she is. It works? She's getting it. Yes. Listen. Oh, my God. It works very, very well. Do you have to keep using it?

00:10:24 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so it's one of those things that you have a maintenance dose once you hit your goal. So if you stop taking it because you're kind of messing with your body's hormones, you'll probably gain some weight back. But if you take the maintenance dose, you should be good, which is much smaller than the doses that you take to get to your goal weight.

00:10:39 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 2:

What it does is it's an appetite suppressant, right? It curbs your appetite so that you don't eat as much. The problem, though, that I've heard from people that have taken it is they don't eat at all, which they definitely lose the weight. But then if they go off of the thing, they end up gaining the weight back.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 4:

Right, which is why they're promoting that maintenance dosage.

00:10:56 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 2:

And the other problem is, too, that you can't get the drug. So a lot of times people will try it, get a month's supply or whatever, and then they can't get it after that.

00:11:07 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

And it's also just so expensive. And I think if they make it in pill form and it becomes more accessible, it'll probably drive down the price, too. Yeah.

00:11:14 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, the other reason why they say that they want to do this is the number of people that have diabetes from being overweight. That need it. They eventually will need this stuff, and then it's too late because they now officially have diabetes. So why not stop it? Why not prevent it instead of just trying to cure it or combat it? There are more mosquitoes compared to decades ago. So mosquitoes are worse than decades ago. They say that the southeast is the worst with mosquitoes. They say that a lot of it is this rain that we've been having is going to be causing a lot of the mosquitoes. And then did you hear the story about malaria they're talking about? They're talking about the mosquitoes that are going to end up having, that have malaria and that they're worried about an outbreak of that that could be affecting even in our area here in Michigan. Really? So, which kind of scares me. Like, honestly, I, getting bit by mosquitoes, every time I get bit by a mosquito, I'm always convinced I caught something. Really? I don't know why. It could just be my pillowcase.

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

I was literally, yeah.

00:12:20 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 2:

And last but not least, New York City landlord has a no meat or fish restriction if you rent their apartment. How do they know? The one-bedroom apartment rents in New York City for $5,750 a month, but tenants are not allowed to cook meat or fish. And the reason? The other tenants don't want to have to smell your meat or fish that you're cooking.

00:12:46 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 1:

There are things that smell worse than meat or fish. Like, I steamed broccoli last night. It smells like ball in my house. It does. Honest to God, that's worse than a meat. I mean, fish is pretty bad. But meat?

00:12:57 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

But meat, they say that a lot of times what people do is they'll buy the seasonings that they put into it. Vegan or eviction.

00:13:05 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 3:

Choose your fish.

00:13:05 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's it. Or pescatarian, right? Because you can't even have fish. I actually came across somebody the other day that was pescatarian and literally referred back to you, Kevin. Because they heard you talk about it on the air. They're like, I'm like Kev. I'm a pescatarian. And I was like, we're a Presbyterian. We're a Presbyterian. That's it for today. We're done for today. It actually was kind of, well, it was nice to have Mike and Megan with us. Yes. In town, in the same place.

00:13:33 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Say that again. Yeah.

00:13:34 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 2:

Slow it down. It really was nice. It was nice, honestly. As much as I hate doing these broadcasts, because I really, truly do hate these. No. I do. You do? You do? Do you really? Why? I don't know how much I hate doing these. These are so fun. They are fun. You don't want to know why they're fun? because, honestly, we just F off all morning. That's right. Yeah. We get to have more fun kind of goofing, right? And we had Chris Webber to finish the day. Yeah. Chris Webber. Tony Finau, who was there. Ricky Fowler, who was hanging out. That guy that got tackled with the champagne. I don't remember his name. I don't remember his name, but, yeah. My buddy Craig Myers is taking me today. So wherever he is, he's here. So we've got to say thank you to Craig Myers. His company represents, like, a bunch of rich people. It was funny because we were talking about Ryan Seacrest, and the thing was, I would never do that job. I would never, you know, take on the Wheel of Fortune because it will ruin my brand. And Craig Myers goes, you don't need a brand when you're making that much money. It's kind of true, right?

00:14:34 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 3:

I mean, it is true, but, like, his brand is going to be his legacy. He's already made the money.

00:14:39 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 2:

He doesn't. Come on.

00:14:41 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 3:

You think he needs more money, truly? Yes.

00:14:43 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 2:

Look at how pretty his outfits are. It costs a lot of money. That's the brand I want. Money brand. Yes. Morgan Wallen tickets tomorrow. We'll have those for you and War of the Roses. We'll see you then. Bye. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan. you're good. It's Mojo in the morning.
