The album features Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Be Real, The Cypress Hill, DJ Premier, West Coast Stone, Kamel Hassan. Like, it's loaded. So I wanted to make the 420 release date and didn't get a chance to master it. Funny about sound like that, being an engineer, decided I'm going to take this album and re-release it as a soundtrack. And say, well, a soundtrack to what? A soundtrack to a movie. Whose movie? I'll write one. This is me talking to myself. Write one. Okay, yeah, you can write one. and you're writing songs for 25, 30 years, you could write a movie. It's a piece of cake. Plus, I had some really good scripts that I had done that have gotten Hollywood attention and big money attention before, so I wasn't a stranger to writing a script. So I put the script together, called Mikey Eckstein and my brother, Camille, and was like, church on the move, let's go. And this was in 2000, this was the end of 2018. Oh, wow. Now, what happened after that was like a whole new movie. that should be shot because there were the the drives were stolen twice a laptop was stolen once uh covid came i lost my mom the sound man had the drive for a year it was just like one thing after another after another and one thing i'm not is a quitter so i refuse to give up on it

hey tell the story uh you talked about your your drive getting stolen you get you had a high speed chase because of that right will you explain that story yeah i was in san francisco in front of the

cookie store and the guy told uh first of all if you ever go to san francisco leave your doors unlocked and don't leave nothing in the car nothing never it don't matter who you are who you think you are don't leave nothing in the car now i'm standing in front of the cookie store with the owner he got two security guards out there with blowers on they like this yeah he told him wash that car. We go inside for all the six minutes, the security beating on the window. Somebody done hit the car and grabbed the bag. Now, I go run outside and see that they turn in the corner. We ain't finna just wait and sit here like, you know, let's go. So, this church don't have to move. So, I got to chasing their ass.

It was a high-speed chase like you see in movies or on cop TV shows. In real life, bro. You were like banging into cars and all kinds of stuff. Multiple.

You hear me like it was that way. You should have been filming? A few times. Okay. But I'm out of town. I don't have a gun. So it's like, you know what I mean? They running, you know. So it would have been different if I had a blower. I almost flipped the car.

Man, I could do a show on trying to get this movie to this point. Why do I want, like, a kid's version of, like, Adventures with Trick Trick? Where it's, like, all animated?

Hey, was this movie one of the scenes or any of the scenes in this movie? Remember Paul Corvino, our old boss? Yes. Did you guys use his house for any of this movie? I didn't. But the whole movie, was the whole movie shot in Detroit?

No, the movie. The movie was mostly shot in Detroit. All of it. Yeah, okay.

All Detroit talent. We have a lot of, you know, comedians. We have a few comedians. Shawnee D, Martini Harris. We even had Charlie LaDuff, who used to be on Fox 2 as a scientist in the movie. Mike Martin, Alexandra Kamaj, Kamil Hassan, DJ Thriller. We just had fun. Mikey's even in the movie.

See, that's dope. So from a music perspective, you've always, and Mojo alluded to this a bit earlier, you've always done an amazing job of showcasing Detroit and being protective of Detroit. And Detroit is having a crazy moment right now in hip-hop with skill. The list goes on. Vezo, Ray, everybody's doing their thing. That's right. Do you take that same type of protective mindset and spirit and uplift the actors in the community of the city of Detroit now that you're doing movies?

Yeah, yeah. Yes, all of them. Detroit is my, that's my baby. You know what I mean? It's mine. And, you know, as an overseer, you know, I want to make sure everybody's straight on every aspect. The women, the children, the elderly, the artists, the actors, the writers, the directors, the producers. Shout out to Dennis Reed, Kamal Smith, Rocky and Janiah Black, like all these you know, Kamil Hassan, all these great writers, producers.

and directors and you know anybody doing it musicians choirs comedians it don't matter i shut down some comedy shows before okay yeah you ain't gonna put nothing from here on that show

nothing get the hell out of here then yeah yeah wow so so what do they have to put like how much how much do they have to put in in that so what you mean like when you say they have to they have to do it like what do they do they have do you give them a set price or a set uh i don't want

take money, find somebody from Detroit to build with. Oh, so they have to actually include Detroit talent in it. Yeah, you're profiting. Yeah, you can't just come here and clean up. You need to put somebody from here on that, too. I like that. Yeah.

That's actually great. Could you do me a favor? Is there any way that you can include us in that? Like, I would love to be part of any of these next projects. Point it out. I don't know. I've often said that yours and my first meeting with each other, or not meeting, but the way that you found out or heard about me was one of the worst situations ever of my life. But it would be a great movie. Think about that. You need to revisit. And I want to hear both sides. Are you okay if I talk about this?

So I'm in Florida right now. And the last time that I actually had to leave city and go to Florida, the radio station put me on an airplane down to Florida because we had just got done with the whole M&M interview with his wife, his ex-wife, Kim, and we had her on and she said some stuff on the air that upset Marshall. Marshall got so upset that Trick Trick obviously was Marshall's protector and is Marshall's protector, which I get and I respect. My protector is Shannon. She doesn't do as good a job for me protecting me but but this the radio station basically said after that interview this morning trick trick does not like you and because of what you did to marshall so we are going to send you to florida to get you until things cool down no and uh i went into witness protection oh my god and i went down they flew me to by the way the funniest thing ever was because i i don't know if they thought that trick i don't i don't know they thought that trick trick would stand out but they flew me to naples florida right they flew me down to naples florida uh i stayed at jeff sack was house my wife was literally just had a baby so bullying guy yeah he was he was making sure i wasn't getting bullied and um so we go down to we go down there my poor wife i felt bad because she couldn't leave right away because luke was sick so she we had uh um we had carrie our friend carrie who's now a wayne state detective cop he protected chelsea at home and then chelsea finally made it down there but long story short we're good i'm hoping marshall and i will be good one day i hope that you know i i do say good things about him and obviously still play music but then the funniest is years later you and I kind of got together in the first time that we talked we talked about our kids no it wasn't

is there any part of that story that's missing because we've only heard it from Mojo's perspective for however many years
