I want to talk about something that honestly doesn't pertain to what today's weather is like, because today is actually kind of nice. They're saying that the temperatures are going to be great. But the last month has been some of the hottest, stickiest weather that I have experienced in a long time. I mean, I'm telling you, it felt like you were going outside and you were in a sauna a couple of the days over the last week and a half to three weeks. and I am one of those people where I go from air conditioning to air conditioning unless I go to our friend Ted's house and so Ted so Ted and Alyssa are two of the people that Chelsea and I know and Ted and Alyssa are people that we don't necessarily go all the time to their home I got permission from them that I can talk about this because when we were over at their house I said hey is your air conditioning out and he's like no it's actually fine why do you feel warm and I looked oh no everything's okay we're there this was like a week or two weeks ago we're there at their house i am not kidding you a couple minutes later i can start seeing beads of sweat pop up on my forehead then after being there for just a little period of time i'm wearing a blue shirt kind of similar to the shirt right now i start seeing the armpit what do they call those things like the stains underneath the arm the armpit stains starting to appear underneath my arm and i'm going how is everybody not hot now i look over at chelsea now chelsea is constantly cold she's loving every minute of this and i'm going what is happening so i get up to go to the bathroom walk over the thermostat is standing right there by the bathroom in their hallway look at the thermostat it's 74 degrees i don't know about you guys 74 degrees is outdoor temp like i mean am i wrong in saying that 74 degrees that's a nice day outside 74 degrees is san diego it's gorgeous Yeah, I would stand outside.

Not when it's 90 degrees outside.

How about 74 degrees as the temperature in the house with no breeze going by other than when their kids are running all over the place and running past you?

Okay, so did you take it upon yourself to change the thermostat? You can't do that.

I did not. I came back in and bitched, and that's where the conversation came into play. So we got into an argument of the ultimate temperature that you should have your house set at. And I said, you know, we talked about this in the wintertime with how people don't put the heat on. And I don't understand this. And I know that, you know, it gets expensive. But at some point, if you're keeping your home at 74 degrees, it ain't staying cool, right?

Listen, if you come in my apartment, when I go home today, the air will still be on. Right. My air is in between like 60 and 65 degrees. Holy crap. That's way too cold. I like hoodies on, hoodies and shorts. I like my covers bundled up. What's your bill?

What's the bill?

It's cheap. The last bill I paid was like $60. No, the last one I paid was like $90.

You must have a great setup at your apartment that's allowing you to do that. It's blowing. I like cold air. See, I keep mine at like 68 or 69 degrees. Like, I keep it kind of that.

That's what I do for my bedroom.

Chelsea wants 70 degrees.

Yeah.

And to me, 70 is just way too hot.

My downstairs is at 70, usually.

Really? My downstairs is at 60-something because I don't even have to turn. I don't know. Maybe it's like so low.

low in the ground. But I have my air conditioning in the basement set so high because the temperature

always stays consistently like 67. Yeah. Yeah. Y'all get different air on different levels.

Yes. Yeah. Yeah. My basement's always cooler. Like when we lose power, we all go to the basement and pull up, you know, a blanket and a pillow or something like that. Now,

growing up, my parents were or are, but were divorced when I was younger. And so we would spend you know every other weekend at my dad's and he didn't have air conditioning and then once he actually got it he would never put it on yeah and so i can remember trying to sleep at his house and it would be a 90 degree day and oh my i could never sleep and we would always say dad like you either need to get air conditioning or once he got it put the air on yeah and he would say sweating's good for you it's good for you oh my god it has to be that generation because my dad was the same

way now my dad was from cuba so everything to him was like it was normal yeah that was like they didn't have that stuff there's a third world country for god's sakes but i will tell you this if i walk into a business and the business is hot i leave i won't spend any money i've been to restaurants there used to be this there used to be this restaurant that was by our house um god what the hell was it called it was something it served like it is perfect for the temperature no it served it served smoothies smoothies and like uh it was lola lola something or another it was in west bloomfield i think it closed down probably because people sweated themselves to death uh they didn't have air conditioning lola organic it was all organic organic organic organic and so they were the owners were listeners yeah i remember them calling it i loved the food i had to eventually start door dashing it because it was so hot when i would sit inside that place i would walk out of that place thinking either it was the spiciness of the food or it was me sweating my ass off uh and i don't know how you guys are with going to hotels or you know uh vacations when i go into a hotel the immediacy of me turning that thing down to as low as it possibly goes the poor lady who's coming to make the beds and clean the room is probably freezing her butt off what's up ashley how you doing good how are you i'm doing okay Ashley am I crazy and saying that I won't go to Ted's house anymore because it's so damn hot

I don't know my parents have their thermostat set on 76 oh my god the last year I've been living with them and it is miserable so at least 74 is better now do you pay them rent not currently no yeah I'm moving out in two weeks I'm telling you that's the reason why

you can't bitch about it if you were paying them any money for rent you could easily bitch about

that no you can't it's still your parents no you got to say you're part you're part owner at that point no you need your name your name ain't on the lease you got it this is one of those ones

where you as a uh you know as a home uh renter as an airbnb or in your own parents house need to have that opportunity to go say hey come on we're dying in here your poor parents must have Some amazingly horrible circulation in their bodies that they're having it set at 76.

My thing is, if you put it at 70, what's 74? Four degrees is not that big of a difference. Dude, you're kidding me. I don't know about that. But I put mine at 68.

So, okay, that's a perfect temperature. But you're wrong, though. Yeah. 70 to 74 with a guy that, you know, virtually is 300 pounds. I'm 270 pounds. That is very, very, very hot. You understand that I get under boob sweat. It looks like a smiley face on my body. And you should see where the smile is. It's right out of my big old inny belly button here.

Right. I would definitely go in there and turn that thing down and say, why do we have this set on hell? I know. I said, let's go outside.

Listen, if you can't afford to live rich on a lake, you shouldn't live on a lake. What do you got, a cottage? Like, that is crazy that you don't let the kids turn the air conditioning on.

We just filled the house. Believe it or not, like, I work in AC all day, so the last thing I want to be in is in the AC house.

Do you get cool breezes off that lake?

Sometimes. Like the other day, though, it was like 85 degrees in the house. My husband walked in. He's like, why is it so hot here? I'm like, I'm working.

Oh, my God. Sandy, 85 degrees in your house. I don't care if you've got the ocean out in front of your house. Turn the air on. How many showers do you guys take a day?

I swear to God, like we have temperature-controlled rooms. So upstairs, the kids can do whatever they want. Just downstairs, I won't allow them.

Wow. Your kids are drowning themselves in the lake right now. Just try to stay cool. That's horrible. Unreal.

They're not. They are privileged kids. You know that? So don't worry about it.

They're privileged. You are very privileged when your parents put the air conditioning on. You're not privileged when the house is 85 degrees.

So I always say that they're privileged because you know what? A lot of people don't live on the lake. So I'm like, go jump in the water.

Go jump in the water. Go jump in the lake. That's what you got to say. She don't let them shower either. You do them like shaming kids. Just go outside and swim. Right. Hey, it's Ryan Seacrest here.
