This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

and you guys have had problems in the past i understand yeah we we've definitely had some problems for sure um so what is it right now besides him being distant that makes you think that what has happened in the past could be coming up again

you know i don't even know it's just kind of a a gut feeling i guess you know i thought we've like worked out all of our issues but it really doesn't feel like we have i commend you guys you

guys went and did a lot of therapy uh and then were fine for a while and then it kind of went

back to things like this definitely went to therapy and um you know we wanted to we want to stay together for the kids and i thought i mean from being honest i i cheated on him in the past but I thought we worked it out and you know we moved forward and therapy was very very helpful and we want or wanted to stay a family you know for our kids when you say that you cheated on him

in the past that means that you knew what it was like to go behind his back and do things are you seeing anything that he's doing that could be similar to what you were doing

yeah he's being weird and i'm i think i was weird during that time too just not being as responsive you know being out a little bit later just not how things normally are so i just it's just my gut feeling and i'm assuming you confronted him about it um i not super directly but okay okay and real quick how did he find out you were cheating uh eventually i ended up telling him but he kind of knew it was a mutual friend and someone saw us and i knew they were going to tell him so i ended up coming clean did you do that

just for your own conscience or did you do it because he was going to find out

and she got caught

and you got caught

I guess a little bit of both but if I didn't get caught would I have told him I don't know to be honest

and business leaders have to say my name is patrick petway and i am getting my associates of science and general education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very, understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.
