This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year. I don't think I'm mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great. You know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, As of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. And I've already got a job shadow before. And hopefully I will internship over the summer. You choose Bishop. We're welcome to have you any day.

Mojo of the Morning Show War of the Roses did not catch a cheater but did get some very honest comments about how family feels about Shea it's an interesting situation that's going on here I will tell you this the idea that shay is accusing her boyfriend of cheating with his stepsister and then there was no proof at least in that audio call that we had on the three-way it's gonna make things very awkward for her when she gets around the family uh jessica you had something like this happen to you huh unfortunately yes it was horrible what happened was it you were were you dating a guy that ended up cheating with his stepsister? Oh yeah,

we dated for a solid six months and yeah, that's short, but that's how it goes, it starts, and he started feeling distant, and I'm like, okay, well we was fine, why so distant? I started going through his phone messages, or through the phone of course, every girl should, and well, when I seen it, I seen his sister's name. I'm okay, they're brother-sister, set-sisters, and then dig a little deeper, I'll start seeing more than just messages. It was videos. Okay. I was done.

What kind of videos? Oh, God.

Radio appropriate. Right. Not that you should send somebody who you consider family. Put it that way.

Wow. But videos of them. Videos of him to her and her to him.

It was all the above. Like, as Alkypid PG, they didn't rub together. They met when they was in their 20s, and then they ended up getting married. They're still married to this day.

Yep. At first, everybody was mad because it was more siblings involved because there was 10 altogether. So they all grew up knowing, oh, that's my brother, that's my sister, knowing of them. But then they didn't live in the same state. So then when he moved back to the same state, it was hell.

I'm 20 years old, right? I'm out. I'm an adult. I'm doing my own thing and then this person comes into my life I think that that could happen I think it'd be

common that that could happen at that age it would be wrong in this case how about this case where these guys were high schoolers it sounded like uh with uh shay's boyfriend um what's going

on summer how are you hi good morning guys morning what's happening so i just kind of feel like everybody just made her feel uncomfortable for like bringing her concerns i feel like she kind of had a little bit of a right for being concerned and that her boyfriend should have let her know that her family's not getting along with her or that they feel uncomfortable around her because she felt something was going on there. And for nobody to bring up their concerns to her was kind of just like a little bit worrisome.

So I actually agree with you in that this, I feel like, shed a lot of light on just his character as a partner, as a boyfriend.

Yeah, because, like, I mean, I have so many siblings and I don't face them 24-7. Not even about that.

not even about not even about his relationship with alexa but more so like he clearly doesn't have her back within his family he clearly doesn't put his foot down for her he's not bringing her this information that she's not really well liked and let's like figure this out and get to the

bottom of like there's none of that yeah and also i think that uh it sounds from just him that he's concerned about uh the family's not showing up at stuff just because of her yeah instead of saying hey either i'm gonna side with my family or i'm gonna make my family go stop this already you know that's what i mean yeah put his foot down uh shauna wants to make a comment on a word that was said or a phrase that was said during that thing what is that shauna i heard so i know a

couple things that he had said where it's obvious that he cheated he cheated um tell us one is when she said i don't feel comfortable around her i don't think i should go he said come on you're

practically like family he said that to to his sister yes how does that show that they're cheating

yeah so two any real sister wouldn't miss their mom's event over a spouse right or feel uncomfortable in any way to their brother's girlfriend unless yeah but it's not her mom

you'd be there i and she says i don't feel comfortable around her meaning she didn't feel comfortable around shay but also you're saying you're like family i get that you're like family meaning hey if it was your sister you'd say you're my sister and that's your mom you know what i mean like it there was i don't make me feel weird i don't think that that says that they're cheating but it does make it seem like their relationship may not be as close and obviously i took that uh mom is is uh his mom and not her mom because if it was her mom she's not missing that right uh tabor wants to say something you say he's a hundred percent getting with his step

sister um yeah like i don't know when i was listening to it she sounded like she wasn't really into it and then he was begging her to come and saying oh like come on like i want you there everything like that but when i observed from the phone call she was like no and maybe she felt a little bit uncomfortable with um him wait did you tell lydia when you called

he's 100 getting with his stepsister did you use those words yes but then you're like not a hundred percent right now you're like wishy-washy all right well i thought you had

some good evidence you got no evidence he did well plus the pictures that they were texting with the outfits and everything being like oh that's a cute outfit that's just so weird you

don't do that that is a weird thing that that's so that is so odd yeah i i actually think a good topic that could come out of this thing and you know we could see what people have but i'd love to get into a topic of uh how did you find out that family or somebody didn't like you how'd you overhear the thing because i'll say this hearing them talk to each other in that three-way call i gotta give shay a lot of credit because we've had war of the roses people that have unmuted themselves and said something if you start hearing somebody saying things that's a hurt feeling right there so i don't know if anybody's had a situation like that happen to them but i feel for her that that's going on that she said and had to listen to the fact that not only does the sister not like you but find out that the mom doesn't like you last call john what's up

what's going on hey listen i was listening to that conversation and if you go back in the middle of his conversation he said something very faintly but you can definitely hear him he goes it's not like we're gonna have sex or anything she goes yeah i know but i don't know if i can get the time off and then she was kind of hesitant So I think he is. All right, I got to listen to the podcast.

My name is Natarika Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.
