This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

mojo in the morning show were the roses busting a cheater and a realtor who cheating on his wife and kids this morning talking to our KP I'd love to know about the whole separate phone thing but I also want to know too are there any listeners that ever busted their significant other boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife cheating because they had a mystery phone what's up and how you doing good good how are you good a little bit of a defense for this guy what do you think he could be using this phone for

so yeah a little bit um i'm in the mortgage industry and um i keep a separate phone because you do receive personal information, post-security numbers, things of that nature, and you do want to keep it separate, right? I do keep mine in my car because I don't want to be bothered after hours for that very reason. The other thing is, if he's a realtor working for himself, the phone is written off as an expense on taxes, so the company may not own it, but it's an expense to his business.

Let me ask you this question, though. If he's using that phone and it's a separate phone, but it's not the phone that she knows how he's getting customers by, doesn't that seem a little suspicious? So you're advertising your business on another phone?

That part does slightly, yeah. But it sounds like there's a third phone number, possibly.

Hey. I've been a licensed realtor since 1995, and I've only had one phone. The realtor broker who your license is under, they have an office phone, so they can call that number, and then they can connect to your cell phone number. You don't have to pay for two phones.

So you think this is all a bunch of crap? This guy is definitely using that phone for what he sounded like he was doing with KP.

Yeah, because even your phone number is on your own website. On the internet, if people want to call you.

I mean, maybe things have changed since 95. But no, but are you currently doing it?

I'm still a licensed realtor with Real Estate One. Most of the people in my office have one phone.

You just said most. Are there people there who have two phones? Not that I know of, because basically you have two phones with the office phone calling the main number. they can then connect you straight from the office number to your cell phone.

Yeah, sometimes they do. But, you know, everything's changed in real estate right now. Yeah. It's all about you selling yourself. It's really your name and your reputation in the business. You can have a picture out there, but they really go on what your integrity is like in this business.

I was just going to kind of piggyback off actually kind of what Maggie said. But, see, I work for a private real estate company. And my real estate company, they give us a phone and a laptop. So for him to say that it's a company phone, but he pays for it, that's weird to me. Doesn't make sense. Especially even when he said, oh, I don't give out this number. I thought that was weird as well because this is your business phone. That's the only number I give out. I even have business cards with the number on it. So how is that your business phone, but you don't give it out?

I think we can all agree he is absolutely shady.

Yeah, that's my problem with this. I've definitely been in a situation with a guy that was a barber, and he claimed he had a different phone for that reason because he was a barber, and I found out that it was his own personal phone for a whole separate baby mama. So it is definitely possible.

Well, yeah, I was on a family vacation in Florida and we were in a condo and I went, he was sleeping in a different room. So I don't know. I went in for something to see when we're leaving. I look on the dresser. There's a phone. I'm like, that don't look like his phone. So I pick it up. He jumped out of the bed, snatched it out of my hand, went running out of the condo. I go chasing him around. He throws it in the garbage can. I mean, you know something's up with that. Make it more obvious, buddy. uh pam what's going on uh i had a husband use the uaw strike as a cover for cheating he i went to go pay our cell phone or our credit card bill and there was a purchase for a track phone like a prepaid phone and uh i questioned him about it and all the extra shifts and it took it took a minute and me reaching out to the phone number that I found on it and found out he was cheating

with a co-worker. Oh my god man well that's uh that's too bad I'm sorry that you had to deal with

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast.
