um all right mojo in the morning show i gotta tell you guys so we uh did a little mall shopping by the way the malls are are actually pretty crowded i was i was kind of surprised i couldn't

00:01:40 - 00:01:45 | Speaker 3:

even go in the other i mean i tried to go on black friday and it was absolute insanity so we didn't

00:01:45 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 6:

even end up going in i went saturday so i i was there and it was nuts i mean it honestly it's gotten to a point where you uh you know that people talk about like the economy and people hurting and stuff but you see people carrying out crazy amounts of bags yeah it's like you know that they're running credit cards up but i have to tell you so i had the greatest thing happened to me i got the most primo parking spot ever but let me tell you the story of what happened to me when i was leaving the mall so i'm leaving 12 oaks mall which is a nice mall here in our area i love it i'm walking out of the mall and this lady is driving not giving the pedestrian right away like usually you know you got to be careful if you're in a mall there's people like just walking right It seems like walk right out of the mall and people are nine times out of ten going to stop for you, right? She wasn't stopping. And then she was such a rager. She slammed on her horn and then even did the roll down the window and said, you got to watch where you're looking. Or look where you're walking or whatever. I don't know what the hell she said.

00:02:55 - 00:02:58 | Speaker 3:

Look where you're watching. Look where you're watching. Well, were you watching something on your phone?

00:02:59 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 6:

No, I wasn't on my phone at all. I just thought that, I assume people will stop.

00:03:02 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:03:03 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 6:

I think to myself, I'm like, man, I think people are going to do it, but you got to be really careful. So I get to my car, which was a pretty decent parking spot. I was probably six or seven cars down the line.

00:03:16 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 7:

Primo.

00:03:17 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 6:

And who do I see? Watch where you're looking, lady. We'll call her, watch where we're looking, Laura. and i'm like oh how the tides have turned she put her blinker on to alert everybody that this was her spot oh she saw she saw that beautiful parking spot with that gorgeous freshly washed a jack's car wash gordon chevrolet tahoe sitting there shine up that thing in the back got the thing And I look and I'm going, I'm going to take my time.

00:03:49 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 7:

Good for you.

00:03:51 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 6:

Milk this. And I stayed inside my car for a little bit. I turned on the seat warmers. I had the radio stations on. Actually, I was listening to iHeart Radio and Christmas Radio on iHeart Radio. No plug for them, but I'll give them a plug. And I'm noticing that she still has her blinker on and she's still standing there. And I'm thinking, I'm not giving her the spot. This woman literally almost tried to take my life and then tried to call me out for her. So I stayed in my parking spot for This Is No Joke. What are Christmas songs? Like two and a half minutes long? Yeah. What is Brenda Lee rocking around the Christmas tree? I can look it up. Will you look it up for me?

00:04:26 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 7:

Yep. Hold on.

00:04:27 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 6:

I stayed in there for Brenda Lee rocking around the Christmas tree.

00:04:30 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 7:

Oh, shoot.

00:04:30 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 6:

Andy Williams, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

00:04:34 - 00:04:34 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:04:34 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 6:

And Mariah Carey, Oh, Santa Claus or Oh, Christmas Night.

00:04:38 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so a good seven and a half, eight minutes.

00:04:39 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I'm thinking that you add them all together, that was definitely long enough where this woman's going to leave and she's going to, she's not leaving. And it brought up something interesting and you can call me up and you can tell me, you know, if you've ever had a parking lot road rage story, but how long have you ever waited for a parking spot? Cause I'm not going to lie to you. I gave this woman props.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 7:

She ended up getting the spot finally because finally I'm like, I got to go. But it got to a point where I'm like, this woman, this is like a game.

00:05:08 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 3:

You could have parked at the end and just walked the gate and gotten in there faster.

00:05:12 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 6:

But she wasn't thinking that, though. She thought you were going to be a nice person.

00:05:15 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 3:

For some people, it's a game. It's a game to them.

00:05:18 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 7:

And honestly, I don't know if you guys ever feel this. Normally, I feel pressure. Like if I'm in a Kroger, if I see somebody looking for my spot, I like race to get out of that spot because I feel bad.

00:05:26 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 6:

I like looking out for people. I was at Target yesterday and I got one of those primo spots. I'm like fourth car in, God bless. Somebody pulled out and I was able to pull right in. When I get done handling my business inside of Target, I'm the guy that while walking to the car, I'm flagging other people down and let them know that I got a close spot. Oh, you're so nice.

00:05:45 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

And when I get in, I try to get out ASAP. So speaking of Target, I was at Target yesterday and you know, this is the second time I've seen somebody do this where they, and it's such an a-hole thing to do, where they will park in one of the drive up spots, but park and go in because there's no other close parking. So yesterday I saw a lady do it and she parked and got out and went into the store. Can I tell you what drives me crazy downtown?

00:06:12 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 4:

People who are too lazy to go to a parking garage and they park on the queue line and I'll be sitting in my apartment and all you hear is the queue going over and over and over and over again until somebody comes back out to their car to move it. It is so annoying.

00:06:32 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 7:

So they're actually parking and blocking the actual... Yes, they're like running

00:06:36 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 4:

into Starbucks or CVS or they just think, oh, it's only going to be a minute and it's never a minute because I hear them Is that trolley train? Is that what you're talking about? Yeah, the one that's on the tracks on Woodward?

00:06:47 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 7:

But people that live in other cities are like, what is a

00:06:50 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

queue line? They don't know. That's very fair. So the queue line is like a trolley train. I guess that is the best way to describe it.

00:06:59 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 7:

So, quick question. Go back to Target for a second. If you park in the drive-up thing, will they ticket you or no?

00:07:10 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

Yesterday was the second time I've seen somebody do it.

00:07:12 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 6:

No, I mean, to this point about if they'll ticket you. Like, they don't have security or people can write you up.

00:07:17 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

It's just a really crappy thing to do. It's an eight-hole thing.

00:07:19 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 6:

But to be honest with you, and obviously there are handicapped people that live in the world, but I feel like there are more handicapped spaces than there are handicapped people.

00:07:28 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 7:

You know what?

00:07:29 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 6:

Listen, when I go to Kroger, I promise you, next time you go to Kroger, I guarantee you, about 12 of them boys are going to be open.

00:07:35 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 7:

Can I tell you, though, honestly, as with elderly grandfather to Chelsea, there were so many times where you'd see people that probably would just go to quick, I'm going to park, and then run, and the guy truly needed it. So I don't know. I'm not going to go there because, you know what? I don't want to get the complaint letters.

00:07:51 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

I didn't say it was right. I'm just saying.

00:07:53 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 7:

Felipe, are you there?

00:07:55 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm here.

00:07:56 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 7:

What's up, buddy?

00:07:57 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up? I was thinking, you know how you noticed her car? Yes. Maybe she noticed your car. I was like, oh, no, I'm going to win this one. Oh, that's interesting. First chicken.

00:08:08 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 7:

She was like, that's a guy I wanted to run over. Now I'm going to truly get him.

00:08:11 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 5:

That's right, yeah. That's good. Now I'm really going to get him.

00:08:14 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 7:

Interesting. I never thought about that. What's up, Emily? Hi.

00:08:18 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. How y'all doing?

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 7:

We're good. What's going on?

00:08:20 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

so i went to michigan state and everybody that went there knows during the week you cannot park at the dorms you have to go park far off campus at x-block okay and so i brought my vehicle back one morning and there was this little red rattle trap of a vehicle that saw me waiting on the spot because someone was coming out and he decided he was going to wait too and try to race me into my I was driving a Ford Explorer. We had our battle, and he left minus the bumper.

00:08:53 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 7:

He left minus a bumper?

00:08:57 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 1:

He had to go pick up his bumper, and I had not a scratch on my truck. That's what you get for being a butthole.

00:09:06 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 7:

Go green.

00:09:08 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Go white.

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 7:

Love you. Thank you. What's up, Mallory? Hi.

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Hello, everyday caller, everyday listener. Thank you.

00:09:17 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 7:

I love you. What's up?

00:09:19 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

So, you know, back in the good days when you would have to wait for the stores to open, we would all go Black Friday shopping, and my uncle would just chauffeur us around so we could hop in and out, and he would sit with his car in reverse and his foot on the brake to make people think he was leaving just to mess with them and have the lines filled up making them think, and he was just sitting there waiting for us to shop.

00:09:42 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. What a guy. I would be afraid they'd get out and start beating up on my car. I would worry about it.

00:09:50 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my uncle can handle it. He's a great guy. We looked forward to it.

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 7:

I do hate when people sit in those spots forever and just wait for you. What's up, Jack? Hi.

00:10:00 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 3:

hey how's it going good jack what's happening oh just driving into work uh was listening and i do want to say this i called a couple weeks ago and it was when shannon was talking about um smith and the jeep and the smells and i totally forgot to tell you guys long time first time All right.

00:10:23 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

You get it now. You get it. First time on time. This is Jack. Jack's on the phone. Jack. Jack, be nimble. Stop it. I'm sorry. Stop it right now.

00:10:34 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

I'll be quick. Hey!

00:10:37 - 00:10:42 | Unknown:

Damn! Damn, you're so cheesy. I love you.

00:10:44 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, buddy?

00:10:46 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

I had texted in, and, you know, you were a lot nicer than I would have been. And I would have waited, just that she was still there, and I would have got out of the car, acted like I'd forgot something, started walking back, and then waited for her to leave and told someone else to come up and park there.

00:11:02 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

I never would have thought of that, but that is actually great. That would be really funny. Yeah. Oh, that's awesome.

00:11:08 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Sometimes you have to be ruthless like that.

00:11:10 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate you, Jack. Yep. Thanks, guys. Jack, be nimble. Jack, be quick. What's up, Emily? Hi. Too funny.

00:11:18 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 1:

Too funny. Hi. I was at Somerset on Friday. I was leaving. An old woman followed me to my parking spot. She turned on her blinker. Then a guy came from the other end and turned on his blinker. If I had pulled out, he would have pulled in before her. So I made him back up. So I backed up even further to let the old woman into my spot. And she got into my spot, and he was livid.

00:11:48 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

00:11:49 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 1:

Can't reward bad behavior. No. Good for you.

00:11:52 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That's awesome, by the way. You know what you are? You are the parking lot Robin Hood. We love you.

00:12:01 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 1:

I guess, but I made that old woman's day, and I made him mad, and I didn't care.

00:12:06 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. What's up, Fadia?

00:12:10 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning. I have the funniest, the most hilarious story that happened to us on Friday in Somerset, driving around for 20 minutes finally find a spot that was me i'm parked where the the person gets out you there yeah yep okay so i'm parked where i can pull in when the person gets out there's a car ahead of me as soon as i'm pulling in the guy gets out the passenger gets out and stand right in front of me i'm like what are you doing my daughter and i are in the car and he says that's my spot i talked to the guy i asked him to have his spot he said i can have his spot i'm like he pulled out he doesn't have a deed to the spot he starts arguing you're stupid so and so be an example to your daughter get out of the spot it's my spot so the driver is begging him to move people all around us are begging him to move he is adamant that he's not going to give us the spot Then I nicked him as he was standing in front. I'm like, move, I'm going to hit you. He called 911. He said to the operator, I have a parking dispute. My daughter and I fall to the ground cracking up laughing. She hangs up on him. We're on speaker. He's on speaker, by the way. He calls again. He calls again. I nicked him again. He said, she hit me with her car. She said to him, we'll be there in 40 minutes. I rolled down the window. I said, since we have 40 minutes, I'm door dashing. would you like oh my god i'm inviting some friends so we can have lunch in the car you're welcome to sit with us oh my god f you f you you're not getting my spot he's yelling at me oh um so then the police come up he says to him he says what's going on is there an accident is there somebody injured he says no no she took my parking spot the guy told me i can have his spot he's He's going on explaining. He says, move over here. He moves over here. He says to me, move in, ma'am. Go ahead. Pull in. I pull in. He starts screaming at the policeman. The policeman says, sir, this is a parking spot. Nobody owns it. It's public. Get out.

00:14:25 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

00:14:25 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 2:

As we're walking by, it was the funniest thing, but we had the best laugh. Oh, my God. I love the DoorDash comment. Is that the greatest? That's so good.

00:14:34 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Fadia, tis the season to be jolly.
