This is something that I think is, I kind of tend to think it's common in a lot of relationships. But how do you deal with it? Shannon, in her marriage with Wes, couldn't be more different when it comes to something.
Vacation. Vacation styles. Oh. Yeah. I feel like maybe a lot of couples deal with this, but Wes and his son Kieran are leaving for a road trip tomorrow, and they're going through Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. Wow, that's cool. So they're doing like Yellowstone, and I think Grand Teton maybe is there too. Yeah. But they are doing it in an RV, and so I think they're landing in Park City, and they get the the rv and they're like driving through and like camping out at night and you know doing all the things and that those places are on my bucket list i've always wanted to go to like big sky bozeman park city and west was like um i would love to do something like this with you but i know that you would never camp or take an rv and like drive all that way and i'm like you are right absolutely shoot me before you find me camping anywhere so you would not do it and that's exactly why i'm doing it with kieran but i'm like this is my dream trip you want to go visit stay in
whatever they have as far as hotels or lodging right yeah i want to do all the outdoorsy things
i love hiking and biking and all that kind of stuff but at at night i want to be in a bed with
pillows and a tv in front of me yeah i i i feel you i would uh you could glam yeah i don't even
know if i'm a glamper you could look you could take an air mattress blow it up do something like that to make it fit more of your style no sir so there's no middle ground no are there are there

I used to camp when I was little My dad used to take us camping all of the time We camped in Canada And then we would do like Camp Dearborn Which I guess is more glamping Because you're in like a tent that had bunk beds And stuff
Same and I hated it I think it would be dope Especially like we've had Wes on A couple of times where he's talked about The communication and I'll listen I think this would be a good opportunity
I'll be in a car for a couple of hours, but this is the whole trip and I'm like, I think
the sacrifice would be dope.
Chelsea's not into RVs and it's funny because of, I have said to her numerous times, like I would love to do the RV thing like Wes is doing, but I'm more so not wanting to sleep in the RV. I would rather like do the RV, travel in the places and then pull up in a parking lot of a hotel.
What's the point of having an RV then?
Like an RV to me is for tailgating, like at a Michigan state game or something.

And I'm like, oh, man. He keeps showing me all these different camping sites in North Carolina and stuff. I'm like, that would be so perfect for you and Kieran.

Hi. Well, Shannon, I think you should give it a try. I was skeptical about the whole camping deal way back when. We ended up now, we have two RVs. But these RVs have ceiling fans, fireplaces, air conditioning, mattresses.
That's bougie. Yeah, that's a hotel on wheels. So one of our very good friends does the RV thing and goes up north and does all the cities up north. They pulled the RV in our driveway to stay the night with us because they were driving through town. And their RV did that whole thing, Michelle, where the wall popped out. That ain't no joke. That is like a full-on living room.
Ours has five slide outs. We also have an enclosed trailer that we drag behind our RV that we put. It's like glamping. I mean, I have lights hanging. I have liquor furniture, rugs.
That's amazing.

So the first time I had gone camping with my boyfriend at the time, I was nine months pregnant. Wow. And we camped in a tent. It was like a big storm came, a tornado landed like a mile away. and then my son came three days later. Oh, my God. You are a saint.

I don't know, but, I mean, it was a good time. We camp all the time now. We take our son, but, yeah, that was my first.

Yeah, we do. We take, we sleep on, like, an air mattress, and then we bring his pack and play.
A tent is for the backyard for when your kids have sleepovers and they want to stay outside.
And then they're outside for four hours and come in.

Hi. I'm laughing at the Madison does kind of change the perspective. No, I am with Shannon. We have property up north that my husband will go. We have a camper on it and everything, but I won't go. It's both. I don't want to camp. There's a full bathroom and everything up there, but I would rather go on a cruise or go to an all-inclusive resort with my girlfriends and let him go stay up there. I'm with you on that.
To me, well, it's funny. Chelsea will not go on a cruise, but I want to go somewhere where it's endless drinks and somebody's serving them to me and a food buffet.

We will on occasion do, because it's fun to cook on a campfire. So when we were having our kitchen remodeled, we did what's called a camping breakfast, where we would cook breakfast on a campfire. But we still were home, so we still had all the luxury of being home. Right. But we were having the fun cooking on a campfire.

I am not into camping at all. I absolutely hate camping, and I'm a nanny. and the family I nanny for absolutely loves camping and they have the huge RV and everything like that.
Do you nanny with them on trips?
No, that's my one thing is I refuse. I will not go camping with them. I'll do the boat. I'll do the hunting. I'll do all of that. But it's something about sleeping outside with the bugs and living off the land when you don't have to. Yeah. Yeah.
Do they ever bring you with and then put you in a hotel and then you watch the kids at the hotel?
No, that's just, like, inevitable. It's just, like, a non-negotiable.
