I know she does yeah she's a much prettier version of me but she is she oh he goes here okay let me tell you something what are you gonna say i did not look like that going into seventh grade i'm seeing i'm seeing some of your younger pictures oh it was bad i and i feel like every girl who's like you know late 20s 30s i'm in my early 40s can all agree we all did not look like this in middle school i mean for you've seen my middle school photos i had the curled under bangs and i did not know what skin care was the only makeup i wore was like lip smackers vanilla frosting lip gloss and these girls now it's like the makeup the hair the slick back the slick back which i tried to have her do on me when we were on vacation and i looked absolutely freaking ridiculous but it is just it's a different ball game nowadays it is funny

to think of what girls looked like when we all grew up, and I know I grew up a long time ago compared to you guys, but girls did not look like they, like, it was never a question of, are you a certain age? You knew what age you were, you know what I mean? And a lot of it was the clothing. Like 12-year-olds look like

12-year-olds, and I will say it is my own fault, I think, that Luce you know, looks older than her age because I allow her to go to Ulta and buy all this crap and wear makeup and even the clothes are way cuter. I thought I was so cool in my Old Navy Tech Fest, dancing to the Backstreet Boys and thinking that Nick Carter was going to pick me out of the audience to come up on stage. Yeah. No.

like trampolines and there's you can rock climb you can do a zip line they have this like coaster that you can ride and that's the kids favorite thing so we were in line for that and as we're getting closer i can see this worker who's working the ride he's like loading people into the ride he's probably i don't know 18 19 and he's like full stare at her and i'm thinking you eff her when i get closer like this is this is not gonna happen and it was so funny because smith and loose wanted to ride together smith was too scared to ride by himself well you have to be 16 to be able to have somebody ride with you so normally it's it's me and hen and so we get up to the front and i can still see this guy just like staring at loose and smith goes can my sister ride with me and this guy's co-worker, his buddy, was like, you're 16, right? And she goes, no, I'm 12. The look on this kid's face was like, oh, crap.

Yeah, but. What's up with the carnies that hit on girls? You know what I mean? What do you mean? No, no. He wasn't necessarily a carny. I hate to say it. It sounds like he's a carny. He was actually like a very normal looking kid. I remember going to the St. Mary's Fair back in the day, the St. Mary's, Orchard Lake St. Mary's Fair, and I remember these carnies would be there and they would be flirty. I loved them. Did you go there? Yes. You did. They were so fun.

Did you date any? No, I was like 12.

But they would flirt with the little kids.

I'm in middle school. I do feel like these days you have to ask more than you used to have to ask. And like you were talking about the altas. And I don't want to use the word effort. Like they're putting more effort into it. It just feels like it's more a part of their lifestyle than it was for ours. But I feel like the only thing that I saw in seventh grade was a girl had boobs. Yeah. Other than that, it was like everybody had ponytails, resilience. Nobody had makeup on. The lip gloss was like, maybe one girl had it.

I don't think I wore makeup. Maybe I was behind, but I don't think I wore makeup until my freshman year of high school.

is something that I vividly remember about seventh grade which is Lucy's going into seventh grade friends was really popular at the time i didn't watch friends okay but i i thought jennifer aniston was so pretty and everybody wanted her haircut so i told my hairstylist like that's the haircut i want the face frame whatever well my hair is like the same length it is now it's short i have chin length hair so when she did the face frame i literally looked like ringo star going into my first take from the beatles like it was a full mushroom and i was like these layers are amazing And I look back on pictures now. I'm like, who let me do that? And I will tell you who. It was Kathleen at Barry and Company in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was my hairstylist.
