And when I ran into her, I actually did something that I did not know was a bad thing. So I said to her, I go, hey, where's so-and-so saying her husband's name? And she goes, oh, we're divorced. And I go, oh, no. Oh, my God, I'm so sorry. And she looked at me with this funny face and goes, sorry, you don't need to be sorry. I'm happier than I've ever been. And she got went into this whole thing about how happy she was. And I go, oh, OK, well, you know, yeah, great. All right. I go talk to her first few moments. And then I left going, oh, my God, I want to bring this up on the air. What is the reaction that you give to somebody when they are in a position like that where they just recently went through a divorce or you just recently found out about their divorce because i always feel felt like the thing you know was the natural reaction that was my natural reaction was oh because you know you don't do people you know don't want to see their marriages end right but for obvious reasons obviously they did not have a very good marriage obviously obviously she was not happy and maybe she wanted this divorce but i think your reaction

was the very normal reaction yeah i thought you know what i mean because no i mean because in most cases, and I said most cases, because there are definitely people that are happy to get divorced, but it's a yucky situation. Could you imagine if you would have been like, oh, yes! You got divorced? Yeah. High five. Want to go out for a drink? That's how I react. I usually go, oh, hell yeah. I know you do.

I felt like this was one of those things where, as a person, you put your foot in your mouth because you A, I don't really know them that well, and I never really saw them you know in a position where they were in a bad marriage i mean to be honest with you they could have been and i just hid it for me so when you went through your divorce did you ever get uh reactions that were kind of like that or did you ever get bad uh even worse reactions than

that no so most people's reaction was oh i'm so sorry um and obviously i didn't like it wasn't fun um i think the strangest reaction i got was from a venue here in town that wanted to know if they could throw me a divorce party and invite listeners. Did I tell you about this, Megan? It kind of sounds like a great idea. And I was like, well, I don't really want to celebrate this, so thank you. No, thank you. That was a strange reaction to me. But I do understand. I have had girlfriends who are so happy to finally be out of their marriages that were toxic and not healthy, and I get that. But when you're asking the question, you don't know what the situation is going to be, so your first instinct is to apologize. I was going to say, when I say, oh, hell yeah, it's usually my girlfriend, so I know have been going through problems for a while. So I'm like, hell yeah, we're moving forward. This is going to be healthier. Like, yes.

you know or what and and then congratulations no i you know you're right because everybody's story is completely different and also i don't know why i was so somber with it with the oh no like you know one of those type of things i mean she her reaction was oh we're not together anymore we got divorced and the way she said it it wasn't like yeah we got divorced you know what i mean i I should have gone off of her reaction, but it was just so natural, you know?

I was going to say, in Shannon, I wanted to have a divorce party. Like, I had a pure romance divorce party all set. Oh, did you really? It's a great idea.
