Hey, can I bring this up when it comes to weddings? So my niece got married. I was telling you about this over the weekend. And at the wedding, something happened that was very interesting. Has anybody ever been robbed at their wedding? has that ever happened where somebody from the wedding or somebody from the venue robbed their wedding guests so my niece had a very small intimate wedding it was like a hundred or less people that were there and they had a very kind of like cool group of people where everybody's just kind of hanging out and one of the things that my sister just forgot was what to do with like wedding guests where people were going to put cards and things like that yeah because you go to a chaldean wedding and i think this stems from a story that i'll tell you about coming up here in a second they have like it's like a vault that they'll throw like their wedding cards into like it's a very like locked you know box thing like it's usually like a big ornate oh it's gorgeous thing it looks like something like like you know in church where they keep the uh the hosts like the communion and stuff and the priest goes there and he puts it in there it's like a big old nice thing that's what it looks like at at chaldean weddings or sometimes albanian weddings too that i've gone to so at my niece's wedding people were just putting them on a table that was there at the front of the the wedding reception place there were people from the wedding reception place going up and going through the cards wow and there is a belief and i don't know for a fact but there's a belief that possibly that somebody was going through and trying to see a few yeah trying to see if there's any cash and stuff like that that happens yeah so has anybody ever been robbed at their at their wedding so the big rumor has always been and we've talked about it on the show before but I think it's an urban legend about that wedding at Shenandoah where they say that there was a huge robbery or whatever and they somebody stole all the uh the gifts and all the cards and stuff like that and I think it's an urban legend I don't know if you google it or whatever if it will come up but I remember bringing it up on the air and we talked about it and we got into it really big and we did this whole big thing on it like an investigative thing and then a year or two later we found out that it might have been a bs

story but i could be wrong kathy what's going on hi hey i had i missed my son my first child my son's wedding because i already had plans to go to hawaii oh jeez oh you chose hawaii over your son well it was all everything paid you know all-inclusive resort all trips a side trip and he got married at the justice of the peace and went to the restaurant after the after the oh okay all right all right so it wasn't like this big deal but i still feel bad

So my parents hosted a huge wedding reception for my aunt at their house. And the groom's family came in from out of town. And my mom found a bunch of his cousins in her closet trying on and taking her clothes. What? That's so weird. Why?

that's like creep that's creepy isn't it oh yeah my mom was like um you can just have them a little creepy oh my god drunk and having a good time or what yeah um apparently yeah

on my brother was getting married down in florida and he actually was at a restaurant the day before the wedding and his car got broke into and they had their wedding bands in the vehicle and they

got stolen the day before the wedding oh geez that's that by the way you know how they say if it rains on your wedding day it's good karma if you get robbed it's a good karma or or good for

your wedding uh i don't know he had to use my wedding band for the ceremony oh wow well that

was sweet of you to do that and and give that to him could you imagine how like sat like that's that's the destination weddings i hear a lot of robbery stuff that happens at those

nikki yes using your own ring do you feel like you cheated a little bit on yourself

well a lot of people don't just pretend a lot of honestly a lot of people won't use another

person's ring because they think that's bad nikki what's up hi so i'm actually a vendor that so i obviously i'm at a ton of weddings setting up and tearing down and um we happen to be waiting to tear down this wedding and it's usually i a lot of times um the bride and grooms don't know sometimes the date so it was actually the date of you know someone they had invited and we caught the girl in the bathroom she was going through the envelope oh my god yes and so we right away um told somebody right away they caught her and everything

yeah that's that's what i think yeah yeah but that's interesting because that's when you know You don't want these people around you If they're that desperate to go steal your stuff On your wedding day Imagine what they would do later

Well we Knew some issues so we actually chained our card box to the table and like decorated it so you couldn't see the chain and my mom and aunt actually caught her and her friend that she brought with her um her hand was in the card box and the friend was trying to unchain the box and sliding the table closer and closer to the door

no way what did uh your what did your husband think about that he flipped out he was going to

make her leave but he tried not to like have a scene but he literally pulled her outside was Like, what the actual heck is wrong with you? He thought about not inviting her, but I insisted that he did because I didn't want him to regret it, you know, later on. And, oh, my God, he was livid because, like, why are you trying to steal from our wedding? We had a small wedding to begin with anyways. So, yeah, and she didn't even bring a gift anyway. So, I'm like, oh, great, you're really going to take from us.
