for years the Unhouse has been presented as a monolith in mainstream media Weedian House is a podcast that's changing the narrative. I'm Theo Henderson, and I created this show while I was unhoused on the streets of Los Angeles. We've grown into a two-time Webby Award-winning podcast, the only podcast that shares unhoused stories and news from the unhoused perspective. Listen to Weedian House on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Grabbing a winner right now, Tiffany. You're one of our last on the Mojo in the Morning Show for Jingle Ball tickets. What? Yes. Congratulations. No way. I thought I was a backup. I know. A backup. We don't. Listen, no backups around here. Just A players. You're an A player. You're going. Congratulations.

00:02:41 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 3:

Awesome. Thank you so much.

00:02:43 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 6:

Tiffany, you have a pair of tickets to go to Jingle Ball tomorrow night. Who are you most excited to see?

00:02:48 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 3:

Backstreet Boys. My little sister. She's 14. She is going to be in her glory.

00:02:53 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 6:

Man, what a sister. What a big sister.

00:02:55 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

We just got the lineup for the show, and I couldn't believe. I was like, ooh, they're doing a nice long set. I was looking at Backstreet Boys closing out.

00:03:03 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. They're going to be so awesome to see live. I've seen them before at our iHeart Festival. I've never gotten a chance, actually, to get up close with them because the iHeart Festival, you know, we don't get any love at that. It's just the Charlemagne the God and Ryan Seacrest and Elvis and those guys. We're the Elvis, the Charlemagne the Gods, not that it means anything to you, and the, who else, Steve Harvey's of this thing. So it's going to be fun. It's our show. Somebody actually was saying to us, they're like, does Ryan come in and host this? And I said to him, I go, no. We're the Ryan Seacrest. Yeah, can you believe it? Call me Ryan Seacrest at this thing.

00:03:45 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 2:

Do they trust us?

00:03:46 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

No, they don't trust us.

00:03:47 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

Well, let's hear you do your best Ryan Seacrest now, Mojo. If you're introducing Macklemore on stage tomorrow night.

00:03:52 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 6:

All right. Here's Macklemore coming up next. Did you like that?

00:03:59 - 00:03:59 | Unknown:

I like that.

00:04:00 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 6:

I love it. That was it. I actually saw Ryan. They had their Kiss jingle ball. Our sister station, Kiss FM in Los Angeles is where Ryan does his morning show. And I looked at what he was wearing to Jingle Ball Because everybody's wondering what they're wearing

00:04:14 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 1:

I did the same thing

00:04:15 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to look like You ready for this one? Because of what I'm wearing I'm wearing this cool Detroit sweatshirt I'm going to look like that guy John Fetterman Up on stage The guy from Pennsylvania Who always wore a sweatshirt Compared to Ryan Seacrest Who wore this really nice outfit That probably cost a bajillion dollars You know what I mean?

00:04:35 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 5:

I have not put a single thought into it This is going to make the girls break out into hives Because they were talking about their outfits in August but I have not put one single thought yet into what I'm wearing tomorrow night. Thank you.

00:04:44 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 6:

Please do me a favor. Just wear a sweatshirt. And we'll look like two guys from Detroit and not Ryan.

00:04:50 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 4:

I had this thought over the weekend because it's true. All of us girls, we have our certain outfits that we're wearing.

00:04:55 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 6:

Are you including Spike in with all of us girls? Yeah, absolutely.

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

But I'm like, we're having a...

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 3:

a meeting after the show today to talk about Jingle Ball

00:05:02 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 2:

and I'm like, I will kill someone if Tony's like, oh, I got Mojo in the Morning Christmas sweaters for you guys to wear

00:05:07 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 1:

up on stage. Well, after seeing what you girls were all playing, like I saw Megan doing all the trial runs and testing everything that she was going to wear and I thought, nobody's going to look at Mojo and I on stage anyway. If you girls are on stage with us, we're just, we're like a microphone

00:05:20 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

stand. The Joe show went to 12 Oaks yesterday to go shopping for outfits. So they were out shopping at the 12 Oaks mall looking for stuff And I heard a rumor here tells me, oh, here's Joe. Do you know who Joe is, Tiffany? He's my son. Joe, he does the afternoon show on Channel... Where are you at? What city are you in? Yale, Michigan. You're in which one?

00:05:44 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 1:

Yale.

00:05:45 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 2:

Yale, Michigan. Okay, so yeah.

00:05:46 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 1:

So if you're way up in the thumb, you might not get to hear Joe as much.

00:05:50 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

Joe is on in the afternoons on Channel 955, our Detroit station, and he's my son. Say hello to him.

00:05:57 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Joe. Hi.

00:05:59 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 2:

This is Tiffany. She just won tickets to Jingle Ball and $100 and qualified for $10,000 in missiles.

00:06:05 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Wait, all of that? Yes. You guys are a lot better than the other stations. Holy crap. That's a prize.

00:06:11 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

So here's the deal. I don't know if you have an outfit picked out for you or your 14-year-old sister going to this thing.

00:06:17 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

Yep, sister.

00:06:18 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

Joe, tell everybody what you bought at 12 Oaks yesterday to wear to Jingle Ball. I'm not kidding you. I bought four shirts, and I hate them all.

00:06:25 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 3:

I cannot find a shirt I can't find pants I gotta do two jingle balls too So it's killing me Well that's right

00:06:32 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

You got a jingle ball in Tampa too

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

I prepared for the other one Like the one that's on the 16th Rather than the 6th first So in Tampa What do you do

00:06:39 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Do you wear like a Hawaiian shirt Christmas shirt or something? Oh no

00:06:42 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

Well see that's the thing too Shorts I'm gonna be sweating my butt off Because I bought a leather jacket But it looks cool It looks cool It looks cool I get it I'm excited I'm gonna look good I'm gonna look good This one though I don't know what I'm gonna do I've gotten to the point where I'm like

00:06:54 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you wear the leather jacket to this one, too? Yeah.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

Social media? Oh, you're right. Yeah, I can't do that.

00:07:00 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 2:

Why do you not put the headphones on? Are you afraid of messing your hair up?

00:07:03 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, because they're Reese's, and I feel really bad that I'm even, like, touching them. I'm sorry. You put them on? Really? Put them on. I feel bad. I already lived there. Oh, you did? Me next. But, yeah, I've even, like, DM'd. So if there's any, like, local—I want to do local, though. I want to wear something that's Detroit-made. Yeah. If there's any—at Joe Show sucks, you could just DM me, please, and I will pay for it as well but I'm DMing people and they're just like seen and I'm ghosted

00:07:29 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

so Joe Joe's my son you you uh born raised you know uh Michigan's your thing you move down to Florida and you become the leather code guy oh yeah I'm gonna well not yet the debut will be

00:07:42 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 3:

on the 16th and I've already warned everyone in my life I'm all leather so can I can I ask a

00:07:47 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 2:

question because this by the way to those don't know this I'm no longer my son's mentor he's now personal friends with Elvis Duran and he and Elvis talk all the time. Joe, actually, I called him up the other day and he said, Dad, can I call you back? I'm on the phone with Elvis. I said, if it was Elvis Presley, I'd be okay with

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 1:

it. One of your original morning shows.

00:08:07 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Did Elvis tell you to wear the leather

00:08:09 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

jacket? No one has said, but I do. I look at, like, everyone. First of all, Dad, now I'm going to be all freaked out all day that my dad doesn't think he's my number one. Always will be.

00:08:19 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

You are. I'd better be your number one, two, three, or four, and five. But, like, even

00:08:23 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

I look at Ryan Seacrest was wearing a suit, and then he put style by, and then he put the insert. So I'm like, oh, God, maybe I'll get a suit like Ryan. He has a stylist. Everybody from that show listed who did their style. Their suit is like $20,000, by the way. Is it really? He's got a hair guy. That's the other thing, too. I don't know if you look at my hair. I look like Albert Einstein right now.

00:08:45 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

I have no clue what I'm going to do. My style is by Rep Big and Tall Fat Man Store. By the way, I will say this, that this is interesting that they do that whole style thing because I'm thinking to myself, that must be nice. Now I know where he gets it. He got it paid for. Like, I got it paid for all the stuff.

00:09:04 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 1:

But also think about the national team that's coming in and producing this show from our corporate office. They're used to that, and then they're going to come and see me wearing my Christmas hoodie of two reindeer humping and think, like, who let this guy in off the street?

00:09:19 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

Wait, did you have to get that approved by Tony? because Tony asked me what I was wearing, and I told him.

00:09:23 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Did he tell you that I was texting him from the mall? No. So I had a couple. I was looking for some cool outfits, and one of them was a really ugly Christmas sweater, and it said Merry F-ing Christmas, but it said the whole thing in glitters and lights. And I was like, Jingle Ball, cool? And he thought I was joking. And I'm like, no, I thought I was thinking I would wear this. And he's like, you can wear that at your family party. Do not wear that to the stage.

00:09:47 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 2:

Because our national team would freak.

00:09:49 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and then I text him back.

00:09:50 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

But you guys don't think – I'm being very serious about this. I'm freaking out. Mike and I were talking about it. I'm very nervous because I do. I want to make a good impression on these people, and I've seen –

00:10:00 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 7:

it before at other jingle balls where i mean they are like you have to they give handlers to people and everything it's very serious thing yeah but you guys are not past that like mojo spike shannon what do you mean they well they should be thanking you to be in your presence like seriously yes thank me you're not worried about what you're wearing i'm worried

00:10:19 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 8:

listen i so i'm gonna be honest with you about this i don't care what i wear i don't get excited

00:10:27 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 7:

about it the only time you do no the only time no you do no you know you will wear something we'll be going out to like dinner we'll go to lulu's and you'll walk out and the mom will kind of look at you like what's that jacket and then you'll four jackets later we're going to lulu's

00:10:42 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 4:

oh wow he tries to play it off so naturally my secret away but that's only to go to lulu's and

00:10:50 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 6:

not the iheart yeah do you have a chair do you have the designated chair in your bedroom where You just throw all the crap there. I just throw everything on it, yeah. And I always say, you sit there because you did me dirty. You stay on that chair.

00:11:02 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 8:

I used to have a chair. Chelsea got rid of the chair, and then now I just throw it on the bed. And that's the thing. But I did ahead of time. I did go. So I will throw this out there, and it's a plug, but I'm not getting paid for this thing. I did call up Steve Mansoor, who's a friend of the show. Oh, I love him. Ink Detroit. And I said, can you get me a Detroit sweatshirt to wear? Because he has given me stuff to wear before. And I said, what do you have for sale? And I'll buy it. And he always is good about whatever the whole deal is. So long story short, I didn't pay for anything for this thing. I'm wearing a pair of jeans that I fit into a year and a half ago that I finally was able to fit into again. I'm thinking about wearing a pair of my Jordans that I have back in the day when I thought I was too old to wear Jordans. Remember you bought me my first Jordans? I like it. I grew up with wearing Jordans all the time, and Joe said, Dad, you're not too old to wear Jordans. You can wear Jordans all the time. So I think I'm going to wear those, and then I'm going to wear this sweatshirt.

00:11:58 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 7:

I like it.

00:11:58 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 8:

That's what I'm wearing. Yeah, I think you're going to look good.

00:12:00 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 7:

I think that sounds perfect.

00:12:01 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 8:

So if you want, Joe, you can wear my backup. And you know what my backup is? What's that? The stuff that's on my bed right now. By the way, I do want you to know that you don't have to wear anything. You're a beautiful young man. You can wear whatever you want, and you look good.

00:12:16 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 7:

I got to go run.

00:12:18 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 8:

Real quick, though. Ray wants to – what did you want to say that Joe should wear?

00:12:21 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

He should wear the Detroit Hustles Harder brand. They have, like, any color, any sweatshirt, anything. But, like, all the T-shirts say Detroit Hustles Harder.

00:12:30 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 8:

Are you working for them, or are you just a fan of them?

00:12:32 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 3:

No, no, I'm just a huge fan of their brand.

00:12:34 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 8:

Okay, all right. I was going to hustle and try to get it for free, but – By the way, why don't we do this? Do it – the Fred show I thought was pretty funny in Chicago. Theirs is tonight. They're Jingle Balls tonight. And Kiki is the newest member of the show. So Fred lost a bet and has to wear a T-shirt with Kiki's face on it tonight.

00:12:52 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that is so great.

00:12:52 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 8:

I thought that was fantastic. I thought that's great. Why don't we do this? Find a listener, Spike. This might be good for you. Find a listener that will pay you to wear a shirt of theirs. Oh, okay. And they'll donate to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish.

00:13:05 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 5:

Like Rico's Taco Shop on Six Mile. Right, exactly. I'll wear your T-shirt on stage. All right, I'm open and available. Just hit me up at Radio Spike.

00:13:12 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 8:

Donate to a family of Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish.

00:13:15 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's a good idea, too. I was just going to do it for the free T-shirt.

00:13:19 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 6:

I'm Mange Shatikular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:14:36 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:14:41 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Bill, why is my eye twitching? Does this mean I'm in perimenopause? Where's my phone? Juliana, maybe we can ask an actual human. Yes, because I have questions. And I bet you do too. Like, is it normal?

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 3:

Normal to sleep in separate bedrooms. We do that. And I still need to know why my poop's been green.

00:15:05 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 1:

We've got actual people answering these exact questions. Listen to Bill and Juliana.
