I want him to come in and build like the shoe cabinet I have. Now, obviously, it has nothing to do with my apartment. So I don't think he's legally like I can't go to my portal and put in a maintenance request and have it be a personal thing. But I bought this. So when you come into my place, I originally wanted to create like this meditation chill zone for myself. And now it's just become the junk room where everything that I didn't have a space for, whether it's my bedroom or my living room or Josiah's room, that's where it all is at, including all of my shoes. So I come in my house, take off my shoes, it's a shoe room. I'm like, you know what? It's time to clean up this place and get it back to what I originally wanted the space to look like. So I bought two shoe cabinets on Amazon. And when they came, first off, they was heavy as hell. So I already knew this was a lot more than I bargained for. And then when I open it up, pull out the little sheet, it's like 12, 13 steps of instructions to do. I'm like, hell no, I didn't sign up for this. So in my mind, I'm like, all right, bet. I see the little maintenance man walking by. Maybe they can do it. I don't want it to become a situation, though, where I get in trouble or they get in trouble. But I feel like a maintenance man, they know how to build. Just come throw this up for me.

So are you thinking that you can ask him to do it and not give the guy a little extra money?

Oh, you've got to give him extra money. Of course, yeah. I want to throw him some money.

So I think that you can ask him and do it on the side, but you can't do it through the app because you do it through the app, then they now know he's doing side hustle.

like that's a given though you got to offer that to those guys they're not doing my place oh you're doing another place yeah they're paying other people stuff i was gonna say if you do it in your, if they're in your house, if somebody's coming to fix your house, don't you think you have to offer them something to drink or eat?

I mean, I always do. Water's bare minimum.

Not necessarily eat all the time. It depends on how long they're there, but I always offer them

something to drink. Have you ever had one of them ask you for something?

There was one guy I had who talked so much I finally ordered him food, pizza, so he would shut up. Honest to God.

We had that story I told on the air about the guy that came and fixed my washer and dryer and the guy had saw the food on the counter and he goes, oh man, that looks good. And the next thing I know, I'm making a plate. The guy's eating a plate of the food.

No, I had this guy at my house doing some work and Jay Towers had recommended him to me. And I finally texted Jay and was like, Jay, the guy will not stop talking to me. And he goes, I always order him pizza and that way he's occupied. And so that's what I did.

Oh, we, I mean, you name it, we've probably moved it, especially if it's in somebody's house. Yeah. And then, you know, the things you find in people's homes, we can't talk about on the radio.

My buddy, Brad, does appliance repair, and I say to him, I go, what's the worst thing about going into people's homes? He says, not the dogs, it's the smell.

The smell. Oh, I can't imagine.

He says, people don't realize how bad their house smells sometimes. Nose blind.

Yes. Sometimes the odor in people's homes is pretty bad, especially if they don't have, like, humidity control and whatnot in their homes. They just don't realize it, and it's bad. We've actually had to walk out of people's houses because of the smells and cleanliness.

Yeah, I could see where that would be tough. I think Brian's a great option. I would definitely establish a relationship with your maintenance guy because I'm telling you, that's the guy that when you do move out of that place, he's going to be the guy that will overlook anything if he knows that you're a good guy. Wow. I didn't even think about that.
