Mojo in the Morning Kev, I've got to ask you a quick question I've been wanting to know this Talk to me And I could call you off the air and ask you these questions But you never pick up my phone. That's a lie. Never, ever, ever. It's a lie.

00:02:00 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Kanye produced this beat. Go ahead.

00:02:02 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 6:

I know. That's why it's called the Kanye bed. Oh. Let me see again. There you go. I'm telling you. Maybe we all do need Radio Adderall. Maybe we've got off on this Radio Adderall thing. I wanted to ask you this question for a while. How's the single life going? Tell me what's going on with you. the last, you know, like, I don't know, a couple of weeks, it sounds to me like you'll talk about a girl or girls and I don't know what's going on. Like, I feel like as one of your guy friends that you're not sharing with me, are you exclusive? Are you playing the field? Are you, cause I know for a while there you were not even going out on dates and then you started being

00:02:46 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 4:

like a Tinder maniac. The crazy thing is I haven't met anybody from Tinder in real life. I use Tinder like just an all-female version of Instagram. I just look on there a lot. Now, to answer your question, ending a relationship that was as serious as the one I had was a very difficult thing to do, but it was a very necessary thing to do. And when you end a relationship, I do not believe that the very next thing you should do is go and jump to somebody else. I'm not a firm believer of the, in order to get over one, you get under another one. Like for some people that may work, but that's not how my spirit can function. So the best thing for me to do at that time was to rediscover who I was and who this, I don't want to say new version is, but there is a sort of newness that comes once you have an experience.

00:03:34 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 6:

So have you gotten under or?

00:03:35 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh, for sure. Yeah.

00:03:36 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

00:03:36 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

All right. For sure. I didn't, I was about to say the cookies done been baked.

00:03:41 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

Good for you. Well, but I just was wondering, like, are there prospects that are out there? Oh, indeed.

00:03:47 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 4:

Indeed. Indeed, there are definitely prospects out there.

00:03:50 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 6:

Are they people that you knew before?

00:03:52 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 4:

No, all of these are new ones. And I'm a firm believer that everyone knows what my intentions are right now, and that's not to dive into anything serious. I'm very blunt, and I'm very honest, and I want to make sure that the proper expectation is set because I don't need anybody catching hardcore feelings. Somebody called feelings because I said I was on Tinder on the air, and she kind of like pulled back a little bit, And we had a conversation about that yesterday, which was beautiful. I'm a fan of having these open conversations. Lack of conversation leads to imagination. And oftentimes the imagination is something negative or something that is far removed from the reality. So, I'm a firm believer. Let's talk about it.

00:04:34 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 5:

Kev, the best dressed male voice on Mojo in the Morning. And honestly, that's not saying much.

00:04:40 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 7:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:04:42 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

That is true. um okay so all right we got a couple of uh things going on with you i like it do you by the way you you find yourself now talking to a lot of your uh guy friends single guy friends about dating now more so than you did when you were in a relationship like hearing their stories and stuff

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

this next topic that we're going to get into is how you won him over or how he won her over.

00:05:07 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 1:

Aren't all of your guy friends in a relationship?

00:05:09 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, I don't have any single guy friends that I have a real friendship with. Is Zach your only single guy friend? No. But I thought you were talking about the core five, the core four. All unmarried.

00:05:23 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

I always feel like Kev never includes me and Zach in his friendship base.

00:05:27 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

No. These are the homies That I've known since, like, 2003. I know. That's a whole different bag.

00:05:34 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So do you talk to those guys, like, or is it just your barber? I don't got nothing to say to me. What are they going to tell me? They locked in. Because anytime I will, you know, you'll have, like, a really good topic and stuff, and you'll tell me a story. It always seems like it's either, you know, the barber, you know, who has, like, a really good one. By the way, what's his name again? Daryl. Daryl. Daryl has great, he's got great stuff.

00:05:58 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

We cheated on Daryl.

00:05:59 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

We did, we did. We back, though. Daryl did my most recent haircut, and we had a—our last discussion was very political, so I couldn't bring that to the air.

00:06:07 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. So it got to go, okay. It got good, though. All right. So who's this guy that we're talking about right now?

00:06:15 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

All right, no, no. So this is not a guy. So this is a friend of mine. She's a personal trainer. Oh, okay. Beautiful young lady. Her life is all about fitness and wellness. And as a beautiful young lady, a lot of guys hit on her. and my question is especially for the women on the show and and guys too for women though what are the hoops that you have made men jump through to win you over and for guys what does a woman put you through in order for you to either i guess win her love and for my friend as a personal trainer if a guy asks her out she'll say come work out with me that's her test to see if he is worthy of getting a quote-unquote real date she'd be like yeah let's go to the gym like she'll say it like that but she's reading him train him or just work out she wants to work out with him to see if he can last to kind of because i guess like it's about like your mental your time like she wants to see him in that element okay and if she likes what she sees then she'll allow him to

00:07:11 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

i guess take her out on a real date so she is looking for somebody who is into fitness or can like hang with her because that is her interest or she just wants to see them in that like situation

00:07:21 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 3:

i think it's both i think she wants a guy that's into fitness but it's also like a mental thing like are you willing to push yourself are you like that kind of oh my god okay okay would that

00:07:30 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

would that be a hard one for you though because i for me i'm out of shape i'd be so out of shape

00:07:34 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 3:

i wouldn't know what to do hopefully she wouldn't think that i would be in there trying to act like i'm taibo and like i would still be joking and having fun with it but still going through the

00:07:42 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

process it's funny because if i right away i'm thinking yeah she definitely wants a guy that's in good shape which those girls oh god you guys are brutal but uh then i'm thinking maybe she wants a guy that then hires her as a personal trainer if she's a personal trainer looking for client

00:07:58 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 3:

she needs some clients yeah that's interesting that's interesting so uh this is actually a good

00:08:04 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

topic like what do you do to see if they're worthy of you i like that 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 eight is the, uh, is the telephone number. I don't think I could ever see myself if I was a single guy dating a personal trainer. I think that would be just too much pressure. Like, I don't know, just to me, you'd always feel like you can never go through your fast stages in life.

00:08:29 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 1:

And they'd be judging everything that you ate all the time. Yeah. Like, I don't know if I could ever

00:08:34 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

date a nutritionist or date even like a doctor, you know, somebody in the health field.

00:08:38 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

i think anybody that dates or has dated one of us it's like the test is that first topic that's done about you on the show and how you respond to it yeah if you got thick skin if you can deal

00:08:51 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 2:

with it yeah yeah but you also don't want the opposite you don't want the the one that wants you to talk about all the time right right because the one we've had that happen before on our show where people are dating those guys and i will tell you this after a while you think that they're You're using you for the airwaves. So, I don't know. It's interesting. Kev, what would you be yours that you would do as a test when you're looking for that Mrs. Irwin?

00:09:18 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 3:

If she can't listen to Kanye or Rock with Kanye, it's not going to work. If she can't watch animated films, it's not going to work. If we can't have a conversation about the greatest Disney movies of all time, then we don't need to have a conversation about anything. We can talk about, you know, the world and all that kind of stuff. But if we can't talk about the Lion King and Tangled and all these type of vibes, then it's not going to work, bro. Tangled just got a shout out.

00:09:41 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 1:

I love it.

00:09:42 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of funny that you say that because Chelsea and I have a lot of commonality, but we have a lot of things that we're totally different with. And I think that's what makes it great.

00:09:50 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 1:

Well, you can have differences, but we all have those limits of like, if I can't do this around you, then it's not going to be tolerated. And mine's going to the theater. You don't have to love musicals. but you cannot sit there and complain about it either. And you got to go.

00:10:02 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 3:

Would you be okay if I slept through the entire show?

00:10:05 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 1:

No, but that would be, it's so disappointing when you're dating somebody who's not interested because then I feel like I'm a burden asking you to go with me. See, I thought that that was one of my non-negotiables and Wes has never seen a musical in his life. And I have tried to buy him tickets and he has always fallen ill the day of that show. And it still works. We still work.

00:10:25 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 3:

It's funny though that he's done that to you.

00:10:28 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 1:

I saw him tickets for a play for, like, Christmas, and he still, the night of the show, was like, I'm going to film that great.

00:10:34 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you went to Maxwell, which was his favorite artist.

00:10:37 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 1:

I physically was present.

00:10:40 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 3:

You were on your phone the entire time?

00:10:41 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 1:

No, I was asleep on his shoulder.

00:10:44 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 3:

Courtney, what's up, Courtney? How you doing?

00:10:47 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys. Good morning.

00:10:48 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 2:

How are you? Good morning. We're great.

00:10:49 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:10:50 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

yes so uh speaking of hoops when i tried dating apps i had in my bio um wanted to see if you can pass my serial killer test um so i'd get guys uh who would message me and say like i want to take a serial killer test it was just three questions i would give them um and i would give it to everybody if i thought about like meeting them in person what are the questions first question Yeah, so the first question was, how would you open a locked door? The second question was, describe the COVID-19 pandemic in one word. And then the last question, are you a serial killer? Obviously. Yeah, so the first question would get like four different responses.

00:11:34 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

What was the craziest one you got? What was the craziest? How do you open up a door?

00:11:39 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 2:

The craziest one was someone said they would shoot it open with a shotgun. And I did not meet that person. That was the right decision. Thank you.

00:11:50 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 3:

That's a great one, though. Honestly, that's pretty honest, though, that he would say that. I don't know where you'd get the shotgun that you would shoot it open. That's crazy that he actually said that.

00:11:58 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 2:

I said, why would you have a shotgun and not your key on you? Or, you know, knock on the door. That was also a nice popular answer.

00:12:05 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 3:

What was the COVID-19 in one word? What were some of the ones you got with that?

00:12:11 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, that was, like, some people would say hoax, and I didn't think the COVID-19 pandemic was a hoax. I was like, that's not going to work out. And some people would say, like, devastating or heartbreaking, and then some people would say boring, annoying. Yeah.

00:12:26 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 3:

Interesting. Those are all interesting questions. What's going on, Kevin? Hi, listener Kevin. How are you?

00:12:33 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Mojo? First time, long time.

00:12:36 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 3:

Yes! Kevin's on the phone! Your turn. No, no, wait. He's in a bathtub. Did you hear that? I heard Splish Splash. Are you in a bathtub? No, I'm outside. Oh, okay. Go ahead. It sounded like you were in a bathtub. That would be so great if he says, yeah, I'm in a bathtub. What's going on, Kevin? What is yours that they have to do? They have to get through.

00:13:02 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 1:

Well, I need a woman that can cook and she can clean.

00:13:07 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. All right. That's my kind of guy. Good luck. And how do you open a door when it's locked?

00:13:15 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 2:

How do I open the door when it's locked?

00:13:17 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, if you don't have the key. You go right through it. There you go. I love it. By the way, did you date that last girl that just called up? Now, is that an interesting thing, though, that they have to cook or clean? So they have to cook or clean, and are you going to participate in any of this stuff? What are you going to bring to the table?

00:13:36 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Well, of course I participate, and also I bring home the money, and I pay the bills for them.

00:13:41 - 00:13:41 | Unknown:

All right.

00:13:41 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

I like it. So you're an old school kind of guy. You're one of those guys that wants your girl at home. Okay. Yeah. All right. Are you single? No, I'm married. Okay. All right. I was going to say if you were. Do you have a good job? Is your last name Bunker?

00:13:58 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

No, I work in manufacturing.

00:14:00 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Well, thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. No problem. Thank you. Take care of yourself. Hey, he's honest. We asked people to be honest. Yeah. And you know what? What did you say? Every lid has its pot?

00:14:13 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 1:

For sure.

00:14:14 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. I like this one here. Juliana is working in the, she's in a factory right now, so she can't talk. She goes, I dated a personal trainer that loved to watch me eat, then made me get fit with him. He was a weirdo. What? That's pretty wild. So he would sit there and just stare at you and watch you eat. That's kind of wild. I hate that. Um, and then another person, another two, four, eight says, can't talk right now. I'm actually at work. That's why sometimes the topics at this time when people are getting into work are tough, but, uh, said dated a personal trainer one time, one of the best things ever. I used to get free personal training from them all the time. I broke up with them and gained 10 pounds. That's perfect. All right. Thanks for the call.
