All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. This is actually a good topic. What did your kid learn at school? Kev's son, Josiah, came home with something very interesting that he learned.

Yeah, and I'm going to do like the women in my life tell me. I'm going to keep it cute. So I'm not going to tell you the full extent of what happened because it may not be safe for radio. But Josiah is in an art class. He goes to an art school. and they were participating with clay this particular day and josiah sitting at a table maybe three or four other students around him guys and girls and one of the guys that's sitting next to him has the clay and he wants to mold it a certain way that would require him to need water okay so they don't have water in the class or maybe they shouldn't have had water to do whatever he wanted to do he's like i need to go get some water josiah's like why don't you just spit on it not sure if that was the best thing to do but that was josiah's suggestion and then one of the students has a conversation with josiah about being a spitter oh geez

josiah says it innocently yeah 11 years old by the way he is definitely more innocent than most 12 year olds very innocent but he should be yeah it's amazing that he is with a dirty sob dad i thank god he's got his mom right

12 year olds like no listen am i naive this one did and josiah is like you know what are you talking about and other kids understand that he's innocent they're like don't tell him don't tell him and josiah's like no tell me and then they finally tell him and oh god did he come home and

tell you everything and i recorded it too oh no of course i had oh my god is this is this like

the art class where it's different ages or is this no so this is our class that has different

ages but i'm with the sixth graders so this is a sixth grade girl yes wow and what did you think

when she said this like what i think it was what no what did you think when she said that i was

like wow that she just completely just no sensor no um no like not she didn't try to like censor She just said it. She just said it. First of all, I didn't know what it was, and now I do, and I wish I didn't.

You can tell he's so nervous talking to you just by the way he's saying his words. He was pausing, hesitating.

He didn't know if he should say the word. These kids, man, they are explicit.

Can I tell you something? So we've been like the barf household all week, right, as this norovirus makes its way through everybody. And Smith was the one that had it first. and so Lucy was so sweet and so helpful to her little brother I just love her to pieces and so at one point he is barfing into the bucket and you know how you I said to him I go do you need some water to like swish around and get the taste out of your mouth and Lucy goes Smith just like go and I looked at her I go where did you learn that word and she named some kid on our swim team I was like we don't see that name look at my face she probably knew it was not good i almost fell over the thing that is so cute is

that that josiah though still was like i wish i didn't know it you know and i remember it wasn't

You would think that I would have been in the dirty one when I was in school. I wasn't, even with older brothers and sisters. And I was, like, the innocent one. You know who it was? It was the only kids. The only children were the ones. Really? Yes.

My brother was on a travel hockey team, and they were all six years older than me. The things that was coming out of my mouth, wild.

Well, these kids were only kids, and their parents would talk in front of them like they were adults, like grown-ass adults.

That makes sense.

And the kids would talk about stuff. And I like, I will never forget the kid that like told me like full on, like what, you know, his parents explaining, you know, him and it's like, oh my God, uh, 844 Mojo live 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. Now, the funny thing is the difference between, you know, Kev as a dad and some other people as dads, most dads would call the school and say, I just want you to know that, or most moms would do that. probably. You're like, let me record it and then bring it up as a radio conversation.

I'm a misfit. It's official. But I would, I guess you gotta keep it clean, but the kid, like, I never will ever forget the kids that, like, cried. Cried when they were told by kids in school, like...

Yes. Like, the kids, and that was, like, the worst ever. like the stuff that these kids will do and it's always the the kids want it they want to tell you

i'm more mad about those conversations than i am about the other like josiah's conversation

How do you think Kevin should have handled that when Josiah comes home and the girl's teaching him about something that... Which, by the way, watch out. This girl will be his prom date later in life. What's going on? What do you think Kevin should have done?

Should have felt like, who is this girl? And her mama contact her and ask her questions. Like, you know, like, address the mother.

Although, although Kevin's single, maybe he'd call up and see if the mom's single.

That would be great. Is that the right thing to do? Because I feel like you can't, you can't police the whole school and who knows what these kids are learning.

Unfortunately, I think this is a really normal conversation for these kids to have.

You think so?

Yeah, I think this is the age where older siblings start saying things in front of the younger ones. The internet is a thing. They are exploring. They're more comfortable talking with each other. Yeah.

Really? Yeah. I agree.

I learned about a lot of sexual things at that age from just conversations with other kids.

How old was it when you learned it? Was it middle school? I feel like that's when you start having these conversations.

For sure. When did you first look at your magazines or whatever the case was?

Well, no, it wasn't magazines. It was squiggly lines on cable. They had the adult channels. They used to have the adult channels that were up there, and it was squiggling. Every now and again, you'd go, a nipple.

No, don't lie. It was the Sears catalog in the bra section.

No, no, I definitely had that. And Victoria's Secret catalog, too. This is the other one, too. Man, you'd get that. Your sister would get that. She'd be like, who took my Victoria's Secret catalog? Tommy. You know, give that pat. What's up, Amanda? How you doing? Good. How are you? Good. What's going on?

so um my son's really innocent too about 12 and he's like mom why is everyone laughing all the time at the number 69 oh no 69 yeah yeah i don't think that's uh mom's job to tell you

come on come on you had to tell him mom you have to explain that okay do you ever explain that

Because when I was younger, I loved Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, right? And they would go, what's your favorite number? 69, dudes. And I would quote that all the time because I thought they said it funny. And my dad would be like, stop. Please. For the love of God, stop saying that.

So then you knew it was illicit. But I didn't know why.

Amanda, did you ask him if this was like math class where this happened in? Or what did you do?

I don't know. He watches YouTube videos and stuff. So some of the commentators said it or kids at school.
