Alright, Mojo in the morning show Megan at the boot barn yesterday, which by the way

00:02:35 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 4:

Wait, that place looked really cool It did. Okay, can I tell you? That's not what I had in my head. You know when you walk into a salon and it smells, like it has that smell that is so good That's what it felt like walking into a boot barn. Like it just hit you with a smell of leather and it just smells so good

00:02:53 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 9:

Why is it that I do love certain smells of certain places?

00:02:57 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, because even if you're really thinking about it, salons smell like shampoo and chemicals, and I love it.

00:03:03 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 9:

Really? Yes. Are you a sniff the chemicals type of a person?

00:03:10 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 4:

You just said you were at a salon.

00:03:12 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 9:

No, I know, but it sounded funny when you said the chemicals. I don't like the smell of candle stores. I don't like them at all. I feel like all the candles together make a mishmash of just crap, the smells.

00:03:24 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 4:

It makes my stomach hurt.

00:03:25 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 9:

But I love the smell of leather is something. And then I love going to like tire stores, like Bell Tire or Discount Tour, and smelling rubber.

00:03:34 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I absolutely agree with you. So honestly, the whole trip started out on such a high because what a great way to start working. Just walking into something that smells amazing.

00:03:46 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 9:

Real quick, before you tell your story, do you think the boot barn is going to be mad at us because now people are going to go in there just to smell?

00:03:52 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

They're going to be like the new Jimmy John's, free smells. They should have a sign that says it smells real nice in here. It smells real nice. If we could bottle it, we would. That's what they should call it. But I went in there. It started out great. And this boot barn's in Toledo. So I was excited to go home. I was spending a lot of time at home this weekend. And it was just, you know, something fun to do. great excuse to go check out a new store and all of a sudden the door opens and i am so grateful we have so many amazing listeners uh to kiss that y'all literally drove so far to come out and just say hi and i really really appreciated that i mean we had people from bg coming and this boot barn's at um secor and central so i mean that's kind of a hike and people came from everywhere and everybody's so incredibly kind but as i'm talking to these listeners who are great um my best friend Jillian walks in with a coffee unannounced and I saw her and she held up a coffee and smiled at me and I just immediately started crying like I'm having a good day I'm seeing my family so many fun things that happened i have not seen jillian in a too long of a time and she just showed up to be a good friend and say hi and drop me off something nice and go along her day and you ever just have those moments where you you just don't deserve the friends that you have yes and that's absolutely what it happened so all of these listeners see a woman walk in with a coffee me start crying and then her go i love you and walk away she didn't call ahead of time to say

00:05:27 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 2:

hey, what do you want or any of that?

00:05:29 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 4:

No, no. That's so nice. She lived nearby and she just knew I was going to be there and showed up.

00:05:33 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 2:

And then left. That's nice.

00:05:35 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

And I just bawled like a little girl.

00:05:38 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 2:

When they saw you start crying, did they think this was like a girlfriend that broke up with you or something? I don't know. Did they think there was like something crazy going on?

00:05:45 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 4:

I think she thought that I made, or she made everything super awkward. And some of the listeners was like, you okay? I just feel really loved right now.

00:05:54 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 2:

How dare you make Megan cry? That's so nice, though, to do that. You know, it's nice to do that and then leave because it's one of those things where it's like such a selfless thing that it wasn't like you. There's no intention other than just to bring you a drink. And by the way, if Jillian's listening, I'll be at the boot barn. By the way, nobody ever brings dick to me whenever I'm doing it. I would hope nobody brought dick to me. I want something. Come on.

00:06:24 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

don't deserve good friends that was nice Maggie

00:06:28 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

you know what that reminds me of it reminds me of a friendship like you have with Jillian reminds me of Angel who's in our sales department who's appropriately named Angel she's the most thoughtful person she does things sometimes where you're like okay now what does she want but then you go wow she doesn't want anything she just did it out of the goodness of her heart

00:06:47 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 3:

my kids still think that Santa Claus came to our house last year because I had mentioned to Angel that I wanted this like purple fluffy coat and it showed up magically on my porch and the kids were like, it's Santa.

00:07:03 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 1:

And I'm like, it's she is. Can we shout out great friends? Sure. Man, shout out Allison and Chelsea from Jay Show. They heard me asking for tea and noticing that we didn't have any. And they went out and they bought me some tea. Black tea, Earl Grey, chamomile options. wrote a nice note did they really yeah shout out to them that's pretty amazing they don't even say

00:07:27 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 2:

hi to me when i'm in the building you should say hi i'm just kidding actually they're very nice i i got a very nice hello from uh from allison i always get a hello from uh from chelsea that's sweet of them actually can i uh can i tell you that uh that is a really sweet thing for them uh them to do kev it was nice i appreciate it do you think that the lady that works in the studio next door to us would ever do that for you yeah for sure she offered me her matcha tea we should she did yeah it's something about you it's like shannon said there are there are people that are in this building that despise me they love kevin you probably did something worth i

00:08:04 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

didn't do anything reaction i've done nothing they all it's like lebron everybody just hates the

00:08:10 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

you know you know about that too yeah right um can we can we go back to smells for a second

00:08:17 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

I want to talk about that. I don't smell BS coming from here. No, no, no, no.

00:08:20 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 2:

No. I want to talk about smells. There's something about the smell of walking into the mall right where that cookie store is. What is the cookie store that's in the mall there? Mrs. Fields? Is it Mrs. Fields? Is it still Mrs. Fields?

00:08:33 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

I mean, there's different ones depending on where you are. Great American cookie.

00:08:37 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. There's like those places. When you walk by that cookie place. Oh, it's Auntie Anne's. It's unbelievable, that smell.

00:08:44 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 3:

I haven't had an Auntie Anne's pretzel in probably 15 years. Auntie Anne's is a good one and Cinnabon's. Auntie Anne's Auntie Anne's is from

00:08:52 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 2:

Cinnabon's another one. Auntie Anne's from

00:08:55 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 3:

where is she from? I haven't had Cinnabon's in forever.

00:08:57 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

Sweet Waterlings. Auntie Anne's Auntie Anne from the Wizard of Oz. Toto, look. It's a twister. Auntie Anne's, but also the other one too is... I'm saying it. No, I know, but Auntie Anne's I like Cinnabon smell. And how about the smell of Sbarro? It's been sitting in the container for eight years. It's got to be plastic. Is the stuff in the Sbarro? I've never seen anybody eat at a Sbarro.

00:09:24 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I eat there all the time.

00:09:25 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Is that thing, the stuff that's in their metal containers, is that plastic food? It's movie prop food?

00:09:32 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 4:

No, that's all the good stuff. Everybody gets a slice and you walk away. You're all missing out on the calzones. Shout out to calzones, boy. Those calzones are fire.

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

over there working on that by the way have you guys enjoyed the smell this might be the reason why chelsea and allison love kev so much have you witnessed the smells of what comes out of the mojo in the morning restroom here when kevin walks out of that restroom sometimes the studio

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

bad when you walk in. Here he goes.

00:10:02 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 4:

Cat's farts don't smell.

00:10:04 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how, but they don't. He's trying to find a way. It's not going to work, sir.

00:10:08 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 4:

I don't get it. Do you know how angry

00:10:10 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 3:

I am that I've worked here for as long as I've worked here? Your farts smell. I can't even get these people in the building to say hi to me. And Kevin's only been working on this show for a year and a half, right? Has it been a year and a half even? Yeah, just about. A year and a half. What'd you do? Could you do me a favor? You know how they say guilty by association? Could you make me in a good way with them? Can you help revive my relationships with the people in this building? I know you're talking about smells, but how about sounds? Listen to this. It's a sound of me drinking the tea from Allison and Justin. You really are. You're drinking the tea and the Kool-Aid at the same time. What's up, Haley? Hi.

00:10:54 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I just wanted to say on Auntie Anne's, it had been forever since I'd last been to the mall and I smelled Auntie Anne's and I followed my nose all the way through the mall to get there. I was so proud of myself and the guy who worked there was 0% proud or impressed of me.

00:11:11 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Haley, here's a question for you. When the lady offers you the chicken on a stick at the Chinese restaurant, do you take it from her? Because she looks angry if you don't.

00:11:23 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 4:

That's the best chicken.

00:11:25 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 3:

You got to, right? I don't know.

00:11:27 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 5:

Based on what Cheris Machard said, I'd say no.

00:11:33 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't think she's going to do it. Oh, my God. It is funny, though. Megan Bruggs brings up a point about smells of stores. Man, I walk into stores sometimes, and the smells just make me happy. Yeah. Yeah.

00:11:44 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 4:

Y'all are nostalgic. There's some science to it. Y'all are missing out on Magic Walk.

00:11:49 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 3:

The Magic Walk.

00:11:50 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 5:

It's fast food Chinese in Toledo.

00:11:53 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 3:

Is it in its own building, or is it in the malls?

00:11:56 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 5:

No, it looks like, well, both. Both.

00:11:58 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Is it better than, what's that, the chain that's all over the place? Panth Express? Panth Express.

00:12:03 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 4:

Dude, Panth Express is so good. I remember it from like back in the day, and now it's like, it's healthy and fresh. Fast and hot, fresh and healthy, your magic walk, all right? And the menu is 10 times as big, let me tell you.

00:12:15 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

But you're also the same person that just told me that you like Sbarro. Oh my God.

00:12:20 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

The judgment in this conversation. And it's only told me, did you notice how he's agreeing with all of you? Sabaro. Really?

00:12:28 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 3:

Your stomach has got to be rotting on the inside with Sabaro. What's up, Terry? Hi.

00:12:34 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 6:

Well, hi, Mojo. Oh, you're in trouble. This is just a suggestion. You were saying that people around the studio, the building, what have you, never treat you nicely, and you never did anything to them. Maybe that's the problem. You have to flip that. You need to do something nice for them.

00:12:54 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:12:55 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 6:

And then they'll be nice to you.

00:12:57 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, you're probably right on that one. But I think the problem is, here's the problem. I made fun of people on the air for many, many years. That was the shtick that I had. And now it's gotten me.

00:13:12 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 6:

Here's what you do, though. You say thank you for letting me do that without getting angry with me.

00:13:20 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 3:

I know. They're morons. I know.

00:13:23 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 6:

There you go.

00:13:24 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 3:

I am so, I've been so mean for so long. I know. I've been so mean for so long, and that's the problem.

00:13:32 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 4:

You have never been mean.

00:13:34 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:13:34 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 6:

You have to apologize and say, I really appreciate you letting me do that.

00:13:39 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to. I'm going to do that.

00:13:40 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

He's been mean. He's not been mean to anybody in this building.

00:13:45 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 6:

Motherf***. Me during this segment.

00:13:47 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh, come on. Megan Mack. Steve, what's going on?

00:13:50 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 2:

Are you kidding me? Every time we go to Great Lakes Crossing, my wife has to have Sbarro. Has to. 100%.

00:14:00 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 3:

Really?

00:14:01 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 2:

First place we go. It's so good.

00:14:03 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 3:

You're the second person now that I know that eats at Sbarro besides Megan.

00:14:07 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 2:

I have never ate it.

00:14:11 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

How did your wife's stomach feel? How does her stomach feel after she eats it?

00:14:15 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 2:

You know, I can't answer for her, but we don't usually stay at the mall very long.
