00:03:02 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 8:

I'm surprised you made it in today.

00:03:03 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 7:

You know, I was feeling it. I'm going to have to blame something for this thing, and I'll explain coming up here in a second. But Shannon was just giving me some grief here a second ago about Friday night at our party.

00:03:19 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 8:

How many drinks did you have?

00:03:21 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 7:

I had one drink.

00:03:22 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 8:

Okay, so you weren't lagging when you said that to me. Well, let me explain. Because you said it to me several times.

00:03:27 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 7:

I did pre-party with Kevin one drink.

00:03:29 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 8:

Okay, this makes a lot more sense. But I was only one drink.

00:03:32 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 7:

I had a drink. We had, Kevin and I had top-notch limousine party bus Mike driving us. Yay, yay. Thank you to Lori, by the way, and Ramon and everybody over there. But I had a drink on the way, and then Joe Maroon gave me a shot. Okay, Joe, our famous photographer. The Oompa Loompa. great costume joe joe gave me a shot and i think i got i think i got drugged i think i

00:03:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 8:

explain explain what it was like so we're all up on the stage with dj whip and the stage is like at the front of the tent and it's so loud and everybody's having a good time and like the whole show is crammed on the stage and we all had microphones for the most part i think and so when everybody was talking and mojo wasn't talking you were standing like right behind me kind of next to dj whip and i kept looking back at him because i could hear him giggling and i would look back and it wasn't even his turn to talk kev i think you were hosting the costume contest when this was happening yeah he said this is what mojo sounded like okay just like that and so i could hear this and i kept turning around like what the hell's so funny and he would take his microphone up to his mouth and just go, whoo! And then I would go back to watching Kev host the costume contest and then I would hear the giggling again in my ear behind me and I would turn around and look at Mojo and he would put the microphone up to his mouth and go,

00:04:59 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

whoo!

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

And finally, I was like, what is going on?

00:05:02 - 00:05:03 | Speaker 1:

Everybody say woo.

00:05:04 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

And you told me, you're like, I had one drink. I am so drunk.

00:05:08 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 1:

I have no idea what happened. First off, they, shout out to everybody there, they had a special bourbon that was there. They specifically got just for me, because they knew how much I love bourbon. I had one shot of it with Joe Maroon, and Joe can attest to this, because then we got a second drink, and I said, Joe, I can't drink this, because I'm like, I think, you know what it is? I think it's the Monjourno shot that I do I don't think I can drink with the thing I think I'm like, I get wasted I'm like, what do they call it, white girl wasted When did you take the shot of Monjourno? Was it like that day? No, well I took the, I take it once a week, so I do my shot my, to make sure I look like a pretty little thing

00:05:50 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 2:

you know? Wait, I'm sorry, what?

00:05:52 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

I want to look like a pretty little thing so, but it is crazy, it's crazy

00:05:58 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 2:

Shannon you're right it was and then I just we we both started dying laughing because that's all like you weren't even talking you were just wooing at one point I did put a couple sentences together

00:06:09 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 1:

it was like and then handed the mic over to Kevin to let him go the funniest part also with the microphones was Shannon said that one of the microphones smelled like butt no it smelled

00:06:19 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 2:

like vomit it smelled like was it vomit it smelled so much like and that's why people were like oh you weren't talking i'm like you don't understand the microphone i put it up to my face and i said one thing and then i was like oh my god someone threw up all over this microphone it was awful it was so bad and then so i made you smell it

00:06:35 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 1:

and my reaction to when i was smelling it was

00:06:41 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

you are so funny this smells like vomit smell it

00:06:47 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

all right all right i'm gonna i'm gonna throw this out there because i saw this over the weekend too and i thought this was good there is a story that was out it was i think it's from some psychology magazine that says never drink again past drinking experiences lowers your desire for alcohol especially in women recalling a past drinking experience may influence whether or not you consume alcohol according to women researchers say that they found that one bad experience motivated them to drink less. I want to know what that experience was for you. What was the one thing that happened to you that made you say, I'm never drinking again?

00:07:29 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

I love this topic.

00:07:31 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I want to know your experience that made you do that. Was it a night of staying in the old? Yeah, was it? Hampton, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

00:07:49 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo. I wanted to agree with you on the Monterno. I'm on Ozempic, and I haven't drank for a while on it. And I went to Rudy's this weekend, and I only had two martinis, and I was blasted. You were.

00:08:03 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 2:

Well, but a martini will get you. Yeah, those are big. Even one will get you. Because it's pure vodka or pure gin.

00:08:09 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:09 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 3:

No, it was vodka. I had a Cosmo.

00:08:12 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 1:

You know what it is? I'm telling you, man. It's that you're not used to it again, and you are, oh, oh, oh. Oh, Zempic drunk.

00:08:21 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 3:

Wait a minute.

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:08:23 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Zempic drunk.

00:08:24 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I get it, buddy. How you doing? Are you losing weight?

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 3:

I am losing weight.

00:08:29 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 1:

I love it, man. How much are you down?

00:08:32 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 3:

I'm down about 15, 16 pounds.

00:08:34 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 1:

Nice.

00:08:34 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 3:

That's what's up, man.

00:08:35 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

And that's just from throwing up that night from the martinis or Cosmos. What's up? How you doing, Christy?

00:08:42 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 4:

Hey. I am also on Monjaro. Okay. Yeah. About a year now. About a year. Okay. And cannot hold any liquor down. Like, I literally, one glass of wine, and I'm white girl drunk. Wow. Now, again, I'm curious. Is this because of the medication, or is this because you just weigh a lot less, so it affects you quicker? It might be a combination of both, maybe. I don't know. But, yeah, I think because you're not holding as much food, either. You don't hold as much food in your stomach. That makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. But it's been a godsend for me, though.

00:09:17 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 1:

so that day that day by the way i also had only had like a couple of things to eat because i had been hosting the stuff over at university of michigan and i was and i didn't want to eat a bunch before i go out because i don't know how you get but i eat so much like i eat a half a piece of chicken and i'm i'm feeling completely full you know so how much weight are you down

00:09:37 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

i am down 70 pounds oh my goodness oh christy you are a whole new person i feel great

00:09:45 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

that's awesome congratulations um all right i want to i want to get to some of these calls i what made you say i will never ever drink again koi what's yours hi how are you doing mojo

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 2:

What was yours?

00:10:02 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 3:

So there was one time I got so drunk, and I woke up in my bra and underwear, and I had no idea how it happened.

00:10:08 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. Were you out with friends and family?

00:10:11 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 3:

I was out with friends, yes. And to be fair, I was also underage.

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez.

00:10:17 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 3:

This is why it's turning to an SVU episode.

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 2:

Nothing happened to you, right? You just woke up like...

00:10:22 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so, because I still had on my bra and underwear.

00:10:26 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. All right. Hey, Mojo in the morning, what made you, Jalen, say, I'll never drink again?

00:10:34 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 5:

Here. Good morning. Here.

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

00:10:38 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 5:

Not much. Not much. I'm going to do it Monday, but to sum it up, so I was at this, I don't know what party it was for. I was at this party, and I got into an argument with this guy's girlfriend, and my buddies are like, oh, hey, I think it's time to go. So on our way out, I get sucker punched in my mouth, and I don't even know what happened. I think I passed out drunk at that point. And then I woke up and my teeth were knocked back.

00:11:04 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. Wow. So you woke up with your teeth all knocked back.

00:11:10 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 8:

Now, did you get sucker budged or did you say something?

00:11:14 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 5:

Did you say? No, no. It was literally everyone was too drunk, so no one was coming to a conclusion or, like, what the argument was about. So they were just like, hey, it's time to go. And, yeah, we just never hung out at the house again.

00:11:31 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

What was the alcohol you were drinking?

00:11:35 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, see, now this alcohol, it really messed with your memory, so I'll never touch it. I'll never touch it. It's 1800, the kilo.

00:11:43 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Yeah. I can't even look at a bottle of that stuff. It's that and Jägermeister are the two. And Casamigos.

00:11:53 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 8:

Casamigos.

00:11:53 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

What is the, the other one is, Shannon, do you ever have, you and I always talked about the licorice-y- Sambuca. Sambuca.

00:12:01 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 8:

Love that.

00:12:02 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

I had one bad night with Sambuca, and I can taste it both ways.

00:12:06 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 8:

Oh, yeah.

00:12:07 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

It was like cough medicine both ways. What's up, Emily? How you doing?

00:12:12 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. How are you guys?

00:12:13 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic. What was it that made you say, I'll never drink again?

00:12:18 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 7:

Well, first, I wanted to say, first time long time. Hey, Emily's on the phone.

00:12:23 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

I love when people's first time, long time is on a topic like this.

00:12:29 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 7:

It's the subject.

00:12:30 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:12:32 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 7:

But a friend of mine and I, we found a fifth of crown apples. I know, I know. Basically on empty stomachs. We were just at home relaxing, didn't realize how much we drank. We ended up blacking out. And I remember bits and pieces of the night. but I don't think I drank after that for about a year and I will never touch Crown Apple again and I will never drink anything that smells like apple.

00:13:01 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's the thing. Once you have one of those nights, it's off your list forever. That's Captain Morgan for me or Raspberry Vodka. Bad Nights with Joe, never again. Yeah, those caramel apple suckers used to be my favorite. Can't touch them.

00:13:15 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gosh. By the way, can you walk through the produce section at Kroger and look at apples anymore?

00:13:22 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 7:

I have to because of my kids.

00:13:24 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh. We got to keep them healthy. What's up, Colby?

00:13:28 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 4:

How you doing?

00:13:29 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 2:

Good, buddy. What's going on, man?

00:13:31 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. I'm glad I'm in here. First time calling, first time calling. Yeah, Colby's on the phone.

00:13:37 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Colby, what was it that made you say, I'll never drink again?

00:13:40 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 4:

So this was about two years ago. I went to this college, Central Michigan University. And we got my friend's house. I ended up making some chili earlier in the day. So later, we had Casamigos, had a Red Bull, and I had this drink called a Four Locos. I went on a drink six times in an hour, and I blacked out drunk for the next 12, I promise you.

00:14:03 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That's a lot. First off, how do you think that you can even hold that in your system?

00:14:10 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so I was already, I've been, that was the time that I was like, I got humbled, okay? because i was i was able to withstand a lot of drinks but that time it was real bad oh my god

00:14:23 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 2:

oh man it sounded like you're screeching his brakes there for a second didn't it you okay christian what's going on hey what's going on you guys what's happening christian all right so

00:14:34 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 6:

00:14:46 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

had to clean it up by the way you know you got a good mama when she'll do that for you dusty's a crazy one dusty i'll never drink again what was it

00:15:00 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 6:

had happened that made you say that uh i slept with my dad's best friend what oh no there we go oh my god uh we met trail riding and i got really drunk and messaged him and then it just kind of happened his dad no yes oh my god was he pissed did he want to kill because we continued to do

00:15:25 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 2:

it a couple months after wait wait so it was not just like one and done no uh and then i cut it off

00:15:34 - 00:15:40 | Speaker 7:

because it just seemed awkward oh my god wait a second so what's the age difference how old were

00:15:40 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 6:

you and how old was your dad's best friend he was almost 40 and you were 27 okay so not crazy

00:15:51 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 7:

But it's who it was Yeah

00:15:53 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 6:

It just felt awkward to me

00:15:56 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 7:

It felt awkward to us And you just said it

00:15:59 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 5:
