All right, it's Mojo on The Morning Show. Kev is going to reminisce a little bit about the friendship that he has right now. It's one of his best friendships ever, and it all started because of why, Kev?

man big shout out to my bro Kyle I got a core group of friends and we have different reasons and different moments in our lives that I feel like solidified our friendships and some involve illegal activities some involve other things but this was one of those moments that didn't involve any of that stuff and it was back in high school and I was talking to Kyle like a couple of days ago he was like man you remember that and I was like oh my god I totally forget but that was the moment that I feel like really solidified our friendship we're in high school and something happened to kyle's leg and he like either tore his acl or broke his leg something like that happened and kyle and i were already good friends but seeing him break his leg and then realizing that he had to be in a wheelchair and he was in a wheelchair for like months i was like damn like this is my bro like wheelchair but then i also saw it as an opportunity to ride the elevator for free and i was like you know what you need a handler i am going to be your handler and i am going to take the responsibility of willing you around this school until you need no more and it solidified our friendship we got to spend so much time together i'm willing to different classes willing more elevators but it was one time in particular and i didn't just wheel on the speed limit like we're having fun obviously like i used to like run and then let him go he would be like in the hallway like ah people would be like watch out i would pay so much money to go to school with you yo we used to have so much fun so it's this one time in particular where i'm like running down the hallway and i let him go and then sometimes i'll run up and like try to catch and kyle was at the time he was a bigger guy so it was like he couldn't just stop immediately you had to like slam your feet a little bit like Kyle yeah Kyle so it's one of those times where I'm like getting a good head start and I'm running I'm pushing Kyle and I let him go and I don't know why I didn't think that I needed to stop him quicker but we had a radio and television teacher named Mrs. McCarthy shout out Mrs. McCarthy Kyle was going too fast and I couldn't slow him down And he ended up hitting Ms. McCarthy. Like, right into her. Like, running into her ankles to the point where she was like, ah, ah. She started to, like, she was cussing us off. She was an Irish lady. She was like, I'm going to get my family. I'm going to get my family. She was like, I have so many. I forgot she had five or six brothers. They're going to come up here. Kyle and I looked at each other like that.

She was that mad?

No, she was pissed, bro. Like, she was like, she was talking about, I got a bruise and all this kind of stuff. It was.

So when you are.

the person that is the wheeling the friend around or doing this. You do this for two reasons. Number one reason you do this is because you get out of class early and you get to go do whatever the heck you want to do. Talk that talk. And number two reason why you do this is because you get to get out of class early and you get to go around. And we get to run

the elevator, bro. Oh, in the elevator. We got elevator passes and privileges. And wasn't your school like five or six stories? We had six

floors in the school. Did you guys have that kid in the class that always had a broken arm like literally every year their arm was broken they had a cast everyone would sign it and they'd leave early and then those kids who'd get the wraps around their arm to pretend to have a broken arm that kid in my class never played any sports

so it wasn't like we sat there and looked at him like oh this guy played football like how did you do that yeah right yeah they always had something broken it was either an arm or a leg or something like that sometimes it was an arm and a leg i remember one year there were so many kids in our

class that had quote-unquote broken arms that the teacher was like nobody's leaving early anymore

i love you um martin manna my good friend my good friend martin manna was uh was telling me a story he was telling me a story i think it was at west bloomfield high school was it him that was telling me or maybe alzara one of those two guys was telling me a story about how they had their friend that was the that was blind and they took care of their blind friend and that was their that was their out for getting out of school and activities and stuff like that

so it was like their blind friend went to the same school yeah went to the same school

and actually their blind friend is one of my really good friends Marianne Sarafa's brother and so I remember him telling me a story one time that I think it might have been Al that was telling me this and he would tell me the story he's like oh yeah he's like it was the Like, I would hang out with them, and we were best buddies and stuff like that. But you did. You got out of classes. You got to go do stuff.

I played too much around in high school to have a blind friend. I was too immature. I wasn't mature enough to have a blind friend.

You're not a trustworthy friend of a blind friend. I couldn't be trusted, yeah. You'd, like, walk him into the girl's locker room or something like that.

You got to use the bathroom. No, this door. It'd be like a principal's office. It'd be the girl's bathroom. I couldn't be trusted. What's up, Tay? What's going on?

hey i went to so i went to the track school of the arts and you know six floors um and the elevator patches if you got asthma you could ride the elevator so my boyfriend at the time he could ride the elevator but he also had he played the trombone so he carried this big instrument so you could get on the elevator if you carried the big instrument so i would carry

it for him so i could ride the elevator with him okay this is not to be rude but don't you need a

lot of breath to play the trombone yes but he did it though he did it he did it you need a lot

of shit damn that was disgusting that's great by the way i didn't realize that that that school had so many floors too bro dsa is huge bro there's a radio station them all yeah every floor is used

and then there's a penthouse i don't know what goes up there but they it's like caged off it's like a door outside of the lunchroom yeah i always wonder what our school that i went to

we had a graduating class of like almost i think it was 520 or something like that it was a huge graduating class and it was not a like a school that had it had two levels but it was built on almost like a junior college type of campus so it was a lot of walking and the worst was and i would have to have my dad write me notes because my dad was a doctor he would write doctor's notes I had one class that you're supposed to get in between classes. It was three minutes. I'm not kidding you. You'd have to fast walk to get there in three minutes. It was crazy how, and so I would have to write it, and my dad would say, I had flat feet. He would say, he's got bad flat feet, so he can't walk that fast. So that they would give me like an extra minute of time.

He only got 60 extra seconds.

By the way, when I was in high school, they called me turtle too. So wasn't Lagorian High School also a big school like that?

Oh, my gosh, yeah. There were certain classes I'd have to literally sprint out the door to get to the classroom on time. It's insane.

What do you have to go to the bathroom?

You crap yourself. It's too big of a school.

KP, you got a lot of girlfriends, man. Tell me a time to solidify one of your friendships.

is um well uh i went up to traverse city and we were in um the double wide which is a nickname for one of the bars up there and i somebody introduced pickleback shots to me and i had eight in a row and that was the first time i'd ever gotten blackout and my best best friend jenna Here we go.

took care of me the entire night like she and i'm not the type that that typically throws up i couldn't even when i was in that state and she put both her fingers down my throat oh my god and i threw up and that solidified our friendship that's a real friend that's a friend that's a great friend you and and i knew she washed her hands before because she wouldn't do that to me and she and i would never put my two fingers into somebody's esophagus that's crazy to me That is friendship. You got to take your rings off first. Yeah. Yeah, they joke. Or maybe it would help. I don't know.

I've got one, but it's kind of a sad one. I don't know if this is okay to ruin the mood. We've been to Washington so much. Sure. Go at it. Mine, Steve Gorski, he was at my house when his dad died. And the phone call came to our house to my sister's that said that his dad had died. and Steve was over at the house and my sisters pulled me aside and just said, hey, something really, really bad just happened to Steve's dad but his mom's going to come over and his brother's going to come over and talk to him and you just got to keep his mind off of things and don't get, you know, get it because they were you know, going to be a little bit before they got over there and it was the weirdest thing ever, man to, you know, to know this because his dad died before my mom died and my mom my mom died like two two or three years later after that and it was wild because that bonded the two of us together that we had both lost parents when we were uh in middle school

yeah so that was crazy but i have one of those too like a very similar one of my my college roommate i was with her when her mom was hit by a drunk driver rode in the police car with her to the hospital and i knew that her mom didn't make it and she didn't and it was the most just the most horrible horrible horrible couple of hours of my whole entire life but those are those moments

that like they bond you forever yeah yep and then you be you like in all cases i mean taking care of your friend who's in a wheelchair you know during school uh you know helping your friend who's sick or you know trying to comfort somebody like that that's where you realize friendships

sarah what's up it's mojo in the morning how you doing hi good morning so i have two comments um I did have a similar experience with my best, best friend. She has lost her mom our senior year of high school, so I took her prom dress shop thing with my mom and I. So that was, like, that was something very special, you know, just supporting her and sharing my mom with her. And then the other thing was we also, I went to Plymouth Canton schools and my class was 1,500 kids just for my graduating class.

Those Plymouth-Canton schools are like the biggest campus I've ever seen.

It's basically a college campus for high school. So that was – I was luckily in marching band, so I could haul across that campus pretty fast. But it was like – in the winter, it was absolutely terrible.

Oh, I bet. Yeah. That's one of those ones where you wish that you could have like one of those – Like a scooter or something. Yeah, like a – Yeah, it's like being on Michigan State's campus. The campus is so big. It's nuts.
