Mojo in the morning. I tried to just text a very good friend of mine, Brent, who this topic is going to be about just to see if he would come on the air with us, but also just to test something out. He has not... Hold on, let me look real quick one more time. i said where are you i did the where are you thing do you ever have that where somebody sends you

00:02:24 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 6:

where are you i'm always like are you around or do you see me so the reason why i sent him where

00:02:31 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 3:

are you is anytime i have called him or he's texting me and i'm like where are you he will say to me he's at the same place sheets you know the gas station sheets which i've never been to one me neither so this guy is so obsessed with this gas station uh that they they have i guess there's a bunch of them but there's one by uh where he works and um he goes to sheets multiple times a day like i'm like you're at sheets i just talked to you this morning you were at sheets like or during the show i'll say hey i'm getting my coffee at sheets and they're listening to you like he'll tell me stuff like that and then i'll call him like or talk to him at like one o'clock when I'm on my way home or just check in with them. And he'll be like, yeah, I'm at Sheetz right now. I'm just grabbing myself something to eat for lunch. I'm like, first off, what are you eating at a gas station?

00:03:25 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 6:

I just looked at their website. Holy yum. Is it like a Buc-ee's? Look at the subs, the chicken fingers. I guess they're known for their breakfast sandwiches. And it's all freshly made.

00:03:37 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 3:

Anna brings up a really interesting point. Is it like a Buc-ee's? I don't even know what a Buc-ee's is, but I've seen a lot of people talk about Buc-ee's and they wear their merch.

00:03:43 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 6:

And they love it.

00:03:44 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 3:

But I do know what a Wawa is.

00:03:46 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 6:

I've heard Wawa. What's a Wawa?

00:03:47 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 3:

And Wawa, because I go to Tampa and there's a Wawa by Joe's Place. Wawa is a dream. According to Brent, though, Sheetz is just like Wawa.

00:03:59 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 6:

Is this what all the sheets look like? That's nice.

00:04:01 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, big and red.

00:04:03 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 6:

No, but it looks like a restaurant. They got a lot of food.

00:04:05 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 3:

They got a big glizzy. That's what they advertise. Like, to me, when I go to a gas station, I pump seven or pump 13 because I'm superstitious. I got to go to the number and I will pump at those and I get out. I never go inside the place.

00:04:20 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

This has a patio with cute umbrellas and chairs.

00:04:24 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 3:

Here's the thing that I think is so interesting is that we all have a place that we're kind of obsessed with and we kind of go through stages. But I don't know what your place would be, but for me, there has been a time where Costco used to be like that. like i would find myself get so bored during the day if i didn't have anything to do

00:04:47 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 4:

i just go into costco like ever do that that's how i feel about like home goods marshals yeah if i'm having a bad day going there and smell all of the candles

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

target is another one of those ones too like i

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 2:

to like go i just want to go walk around target no you don't have anything like that i mean imagine

00:05:04 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

but that's different though that's a movie you know what mine is jack's car wash real you go

00:05:09 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 4:

to the car wash i obsessively go to the car wash i have that um what is it called the monthly membership yeah whatever so i probably get my car washed every day yeah i'm not joking if i have an

00:05:21 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 5:

extra couple of minutes i'm like i'm just gonna go through it makes me it gives me this little

00:05:24 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 2:

hit of dopamine it really does well you you definitely like i i will tell you this there There's times when I'm in a parking lot somewhere and I'm walking and I'm looking at people's cars going, that guy hasn't washed his car in a while. That guy hasn't.

00:05:36 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

I love washing my car.

00:05:38 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 2:

I like to be cleaner than everybody else. And we also live, we also work in an area where our cars get dirty all the time because of.

00:05:46 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

We need free car washes. Facts. Because I'm not paying for cars. The last time I got my car washes is when we went to the Tigers game and they won and they flashed a free car wash QR code. I was like, you actually do that? I did it that time. I never knew people that did that. Yeah, it worked like a charm.

00:06:01 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

Like with the people that when they say, if the Tigers score seven runs in the game, you get a free pickle or something. I went and got a car wash.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 3:

It's perfect. All right, for sure.

00:06:09 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to pay them. All right, so here's a topic that I want to do right now, and I think this could be an interesting topic. Matter of fact, I think in our pre-show meeting was that Shannon has said that you think that this topic will be the best topic of the morning.

00:06:20 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 4:

I see random ones that people just love calling in for.

00:06:24 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

What's your place? 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 where's the place that you just go to because it just makes you feel good you know like sheets which Bianca can you tell me something about sheets does sheets have like full sit down area like you can sit down and eat and stuff? Yeah they have like a little

00:06:44 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

table I don't want to really compare it to Coney Island but it's like seating kind of like that you know it's like the plastic kind of benches and stuff and then the made to order area is like huge. It's like a whole bar. Yeah, it's crazy. Is it like a food court in a mall? I would say a smaller version of one, but yeah, there was a restaurant, a food court, it was like that.

00:07:03 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 2:

So when we go down to Florida, at night sometimes, if there's an ice cream place that we normally go to and it's closed, I'll say, let's go get ice cream at Wawa. Because Wawa has ice cream. They make really good. What's going on? It is... You know what? Honestly, Anna you bring up an interesting point I just order a milkshake and walk around the store and then I come back and they call me out

00:07:28 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 7:

next time check it out for me

00:07:29 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

what's up Amy how you doing

00:07:31 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 7:

good morning guys how are you long time listener family free family free mom winner from 2012 Amy

00:07:41 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 2:

on the phone

00:07:43 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 7:

I've been listening to you guys since I was in junior high like you guys are my crew you guys are my crew from Arizona I found I found you on the Internet in Arizona and then moved back over to this side of town, and I found you again. Thank you. So it was meant to be.

00:07:58 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:07:59 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 7:

Absolutely. Kevin, I need you to say my name, dude. Come on. I hear you say everybody else's name.

00:08:04 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 3:

No, no. You said you called before. That's why I didn't say it, but Amy on the phone. Yes.

00:08:12 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 7:

That's how we do it. So Sheets is amazing, you guys. If you guys have not tried it, it's phenomenal. Made to order fresh. I don't work for them, but we just got a bunch of locations here in Ohio, and they are packed nonstop. You think Buc-ee's is good? Buc-ee's has got great food. Their brisket is amazing. So good. And their candy will pop.

00:08:35 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Amazing.

00:08:35 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 7:

What is it?

00:08:36 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 2:

It's so wild to think that people go to gas stations for brisket, but it's more than a gas station.

00:08:41 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 7:

I like it. And that's the thing. And their bathrooms are amazing. Like, you go into a gas station, you think nasty truck stop bathroom, right? No, Sheetz and Buc-ee's, like, that's, like, their number one thing. They want people to know, hey, we're clean. Like, you can come here and enjoy food, walk around, and whatever. But, yeah, the made-to-order mozzarella sticks at Sheetz, grab some when you can. And they're milkshakes. Eat more Sheetz.

00:09:08 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Patrice is on, too. Patrice, you're also a Sheetz fanatic?

00:09:14 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I am. And I had to mention, too, they have a beer, a beer cave. Yeah, I saw you. What did you do?

00:09:21 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 7:

Yep.

00:09:22 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Google. So that's the other thing, too. So if I call Brent up at, like, 5 in the evening, I'll be like, what are you doing? He's like, I'm getting my beer. And he goes, he goes there. What is it? It's bigger than a refrigerator, right? A full of beer?

00:09:35 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 6:

Yes. Yes. Oh, yeah. It's a walk-in.

00:09:38 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 2:

It's a walk-in.

00:09:40 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 6:

Their nacho, yes, walk-in. And their brisket nachos are the best.

00:09:45 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That sounds so good. That just sounds like...

00:09:47 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 6:

I wanted to meet you for lunch.

00:09:49 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 2:

Amy and Patrice, go meet each other. What side of town are you on, Patrice? Because Amy's in Ohio.

00:09:56 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 6:

I'm on east side. I go to one on 12th Avenue. Okay, so she's in the Detroit area. That's right by where my, that's my hometown. I know right where you're at.

00:10:07 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome. You guys, we're making friends. We're making friends here. I love it. Hold on a second. Allie.

00:10:13 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 7:

9-5-5.

00:10:14 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 3:

Allie, are you there?

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 7:

I'm here.

00:10:17 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's your place?

00:10:20 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 7:

First time, long time. Hey, Allie on the boat. My spot is Speedway Cafe. It's the best. You are missing out if you haven't been there. We got one right across the street from my work, and we go there all the time.

00:10:36 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 3:

So they had to compete against Sheetz by having their own little cafe, the Speedway Cafe.

00:10:41 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. They got tables and everything. Do they really know?

00:10:45 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 5:

There used to be one next to the radio station, but they didn't have a cafe.

00:10:49 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 3:

They had just like a coffee machine with a coffee pot.

00:10:52 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 5:

And the fake hot chocolate, which I love so much.

00:10:54 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's the best. It's so low to sugar.

00:10:57 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 2:

This steak and egg breakfast bowl looks like I'm going to have an expensive diarrhea. Check it out.

00:11:02 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 7:

You're missing out.

00:11:03 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thank you.

00:11:08 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

That's tough. Janine, what's your place?

00:11:14 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 4:

Cracker Barrel. Love it. Just your happy place?

00:11:18 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. The grandkids, we go by Cracker Barrel, and they're like screaming, Cracker Barrel, Cracker Barrel. I hope guys are going to go up $100.

00:11:25 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 3:

Wow. the Cracker Barrel I love it

00:11:29 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 4:

do they still have that little game on the table with the pegs the orange and blue and white pegs they still have it

00:11:36 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 3:

I have never gone to a Cracker Barrel

00:11:40 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 4:

oh really

00:11:41 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 1:

that was like a road trip staple because they got the coolest stuff to buy in the shop

00:11:46 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 3:

somebody just texted in and said Mojo you have a place you always talk about it Carl's Golfland that is your place I do stop at Carl's a lot. I love that place.

00:11:59 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 5:

My other happy place would be the library, which you make fun of me incessantly, but I love going to the library. Like to read books? To check out books. Really? I never pay for books anymore. Interesting. I just go to the library.

00:12:11 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Missy?

00:12:12 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Long time, but I've called you before, but I love you. Welcome back. Oh, thank you. HomeGoods is my happy place. What's your favorite one? The one out on 75 by Great Lakes Crossing is the one I go to. Oh, okay. I've never been to that one. The Bloomfield one is nice, too. But when the world set down for the pandemic, it's what I miss the most. And I even got to take the sign on their door that said, open, open, open. I miss you so much. It's just, you know, even when you don't need anything, everything's fine. and it's just good to go wander. Yep, absolutely.

00:12:57 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 3:

I like it. Good place to kill time. Dustin, what's your place?

00:13:02 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 8:

Cabela's. Oh. I love Cabela's.

00:13:04 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 3:

You ever been into Cabela's there?

00:13:06 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 1:

You think Kevin has?

00:13:07 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 3:

Fishing, hunting Cabela's.

00:13:09 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You get to go look at guns and everything else. It's beautiful.

00:13:16 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 2:

There's a lot of places I ain't been, bro. I ain't been to Menards. I ain't been to Cabela's. Menards Freak Town. I ain't been to Hoop Tracker Supply.

00:13:23 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 8:

You've got to go to Cabela's, man. They have everything you can think of.

00:13:27 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 3:

What's the last thing you bought at Cabela's?

00:13:31 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 8:

A Kimber. What the heck is that? A pistol.

00:13:34 - 00:13:34 | Unknown:

Oh.

00:13:35 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. It's funny. You know, it's funny. I love going to Dick's. The big ones, though. The big ones?

00:13:43 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 5:

No, the big ones are amazing.

00:13:45 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 3:

Not the small Dick's, but the big Dick's.

00:13:47 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 5:

The big Dick's. They have free people.

00:13:48 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 3:

The big Dick's. They've got rowboats and things in there. Hold on, Brie. Brie, what's going on?

00:13:55 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 2:

You're looking at a robot.

00:13:57 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 3:

Hey. Hi, what's up?

00:14:00 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 8:

My spot. Okay, so I was just saying, like, I was talking about sheets. I just recently went. I was about to go on a trip to Ohio, and they had the cheapest gas. Do they? Really? Oh, yeah. Their gas. And then they got the rewards, too.

00:14:13 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Their gas is way less expensive than the places across the street.

00:14:18 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 8:

But my spot, I'm not even going to hold you, is my driveway. I sit in my driveway for like... That's a good one.

00:14:25 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 1:

That is a great answer.

00:14:28 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

We did that as a topic one time. The people that won't come inside, they like to just sit in their driveway.

00:14:33 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 1:

It's about sitting there. Yeah. Yeah.

00:14:35 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 3:

I get it. Hold on a second. Renee's is Trader Joe's.

00:14:39 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 4:

That is one. That is another good one.

00:14:41 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, Trader Joe's or...

00:14:44 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 7:

Oh, DIA, mine too.

00:14:49 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 5:

Trader Joe's when they just got a fresh flower delivery.

00:14:51 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. It makes me so happy. It's always so busy.

00:14:54 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 3:

Isn't the DIA, though, tough to find parking, though? It can be.

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 7:

You have ways.

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 3:

Depends on day, time. I like this one. Hold on. Skip, what's your place?

00:15:06 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 6:

Gentleman's Clubs.

00:15:08 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 3:

Which one?

00:15:09 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 6:

Just kill it. Really? No, seriously, seriously. I won't say I'm fat, but I'm portly, and I love food. What? And people are sleeping. People are sleeping on strip club food.

00:15:23 - 00:15:24 | Speaker 3:

I'm not. What do you get? Yeah.

00:15:24 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 6:

I'm hit. Well, if I want a steak, I will only go to a strip club because I've been so spoiled by steaks and strip clubs. Like the Coliseum, you can get a seven, eight-ounce steak for like $9.99. What? And it's a filet. The flavor is there. Five-star chefs, people do not realize. So, like, when I'm bored and I'm hungry and I'm driving around, I'll pass Outback, Olive Garden, all that. But I'm going to Players, Coliseum, Pantheon Club. Can you get a carryout? I'm like, can you door dash?

00:15:58 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 3:

No, I honestly ask questions.

00:15:59 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 6:

You can door dash.

00:16:00 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 3:

If you go there just for the food, do you still have to tip the dancers?

00:16:04 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 6:

No, you just sit away from the stage. You don't sit at the stage, sit at the booth.

00:16:08 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Do they come over to you at the booth and try to get you to get a dance?

00:16:12 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 6:

Or you sit at the bar. As long as you're eating, they won't bug you.

00:16:16 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 3:

Really? But do they ever want to dance while you're eating it?

00:16:21 - 00:16:53 | Speaker 6:

Occasionally. And again, it goes back to, I'd rather look at that than a regular Olive Garden waitress. He's making all the sense right now. Yep, exactly. And I'll tell you what, during football, there's a few clubs around here that have buffets. Shoot. Wow. There's a strip club buffet. $7 or $8 or $10 to get in cover charts. And you can eat, man, like a fat kid eating steak. I hate to say this, Skip.

00:16:54 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 3:

I think there's more opportunity of me eating brisket from Sheetz than going to a strip club with Skip.
