From defining what a "slut" means to explaining the difference between a "lady" and a "whore," Kev's conversations with Josiah are a reminder that kids are always learning and growing, and sometimes that means asking the most unexpected questions See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

All right, it is Mojo in the morning show.

00:01:51 - 00:02:11 | Speaker 7:

You guys know Kev's a dad. He's got the most unbelievable son in the world, Josiah. And Josiah recently asked something to Kevin that he thought was inappropriate. Now, if Kevin thinks it's inappropriate, I mean, I dumped you three times, I think, today. Yeah, the deadly sandwich got you. Egg, that got me.

00:02:11 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

But it's not that I thought it was inappropriate. I was just completely caught off guard. So Josiah is in a summer program where he goes to U of M Monday through Friday. And when he comes off the bus, there I am waiting. And he comes and sits in the car. And the first thing he says is, Dad, what's a slut? And I said, huh? He said, what's a slut? I said, all right, where is this coming from? And he was like, well, we're reading this book. And it was in there. I was like, okay, what's the name of the book? I'm like, what type of book got that in there? i forgot the name of the book i said okay so what's the line before that let's get some context and it has something to do with like this man was talking about a lady and comparing it to a slut and i was like oh okay okay i get what you're saying now the difference is you know a lady is someone that's more up class you know someone of more of a higher regard someone with you know more character values in that way and then a slut is kind of just like a whore he was like what's a whore that was your answer in my mind i'm like i'm trying to like give examples and then we had

00:03:26 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 7:

a whole nother conversation about that yeah you you uh you might be the bad person to talk to him

00:03:32 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 5:

about i don't think i was though i think i gave it to him pretty good you know the difference between a lady and a slut right now he needs to know what a whore is well i said that's just

00:03:40 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 7:

somebody that's sleeping around with a bunch of people i always loved when the kids would ask

00:03:45 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 5:

questions like that and i just go talk to your mom i look at that as like the perfect moment to

00:03:51 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 7:

stand up and give them the information they're seeking i don't know i don't know chelsea didn't think i was appropriate with the stuff that i would do either just like i don't think you are i thought i did a great job i would have shown luke pictures let me let me show you a couple see this girl in my jorts yeah you pointed to me no i know yes you did no i was doing you did i looked over at you check the camera over this game real quick i want to ask a question does smith uh ever ask you kind of questions and do you ever pawn him off on his dad or uh lucy

00:04:25 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

doesn't ask me so much smith asks all the questions i mean he catches me off guard so many times so recently actually not even recently it was probably about a year ago i um one of the group chats that my friends and i have is called the husky hose and it's because we all met at a time where our kids went to a school and the mascot was a husky and then somebody made the name to the group chat the husky hose i don't remember who well whenever people's text it comes up on my car screen so he's like mom what's the husky hose Thank you.

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 6:

And that was one that I'm like, oh, it's just, it's just our group chat name. I'm not explaining that to a nine-year-old, eight-year-old at the time.

00:05:06 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 3:

You know, start naming everybody in that group text. They're all the moms, all the moms and the kids that you are.

00:05:12 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 5:

That'd be t-shirts.

00:05:14 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

I remember there was a listener that said, when we do it in the thing, mommy, what is a vagina? Remember that?

00:05:21 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

No, it was an orgasm.

00:05:23 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 3:

Or an orgasm.

00:05:23 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 6:

Because for the longest time, the show started with a drop of me saying it's like an orgasm in a cup and it was a little old chaldean lady trying a frappuccino for the first time that's where that came from and i was telling the story but i remember that mom calling in and she's like

00:05:37 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 5:

now my kid's asking what an orgasm is yeah hey okay so i'm like i remember one time shout out to chrissy and gerard i was in a kitchen and they had some friends over and this lady had her little son running around he like six or seven something like that so she like kev what's going on what you been up to i'm like man working you know doing this she was like you got another job i was like yeah, man, you know, it's hard. I had to get another job. She's like, what you doing? It's like, I'm a stripper now, man. Call me chocolate drop. So I kept going, right, like doing my thing. She leaves with her son, getting the car there off, and then my cousin Christina who's sitting on the couch next to me answers the phone and she's calling. She's like, put Kevin on speaker phone. I'm like, what's going on? She's like, go ahead and ask him. She in the backseat, the boy like, what's a stripper? The whole time the car ride home, she was like, well, I'm gonna kill

00:06:22 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

you. Hey, Kevin meet kevin kevin wants to talk to you what's going on bro kevin you got to be careful man

00:06:29 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 4:

your son might start calling you a slut pretty soon oh no i ain't gonna never come on i'll pop

00:06:34 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

him like i'll pop you uh no no no kevin's now date kevin's not dating sluts he's dating women that clean his house for him i've never dated sluts i've only dated classy women exactly he

00:06:46 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 4:

cleaned up his act hey kevin i used to own a wild bill so i might see you at that event today too Come on, man.

00:06:51 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

What's your name? We've got Chris and everybody from Wild Bill still in studio with us.

00:06:55 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 4:

So me and my brother used to own the one in Fort Gratiot. So it's the Port Huron area.

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay, Fort Gratiot, Port Huron area.

00:07:01 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 4:

Kevin, come on down and see us. We'll be at Danny's store.

00:07:04 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, make sure that you.

00:07:05 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 4:

I know Danny very well. All right, brother, we'll see you. Danny is Junior. All right, I'll be there. Yeah, Junior will be there. Derek will be there. Danny, all of us. We're all going to be there. I want friends that name our Junior.

00:07:16 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

All right, bro. I got Junior and I got, you know, Sammy here. Hey, real quick, Kevin, Kevin on the phone line. Do you have kids? I do. I have two kids and one on the way. So how old are your kids?

00:07:28 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 4:

Four, two, and I'm going to be born in November. Oh, my gosh.

00:07:32 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

You wait. You're about nine years away from your kids saying stuff to you, or actually maybe even less, saying stuff to you that you're going to be like. Yeah.

00:07:39 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 4:

They pick up everything. My daughter's four years old, and she's already cursing at me.

00:07:43 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. Don't say the word, but what does it start with that she says?

00:07:47 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, F, B. Where's she getting it from? Mommy got a potty mouth. She got Taylor's mouth.

00:07:55 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 3:

I swear to you, when my friend's kids swear, and the kids, Chelsea has to yell at me. Because she'll be like, you know, our friend's son will start cracking up laughing. Danny, that is so funny. And she's like, you cannot laugh.

00:08:08 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 6:

No, my kids have the worst.

00:08:09 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 5:

Smith has the worst mouth. Are they using it correctly? Yes. That's what I actually, you know?

00:08:15 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

And actually, they're smart enough to spell it, too. which is they can put it in if they wanted to they could put it in text it's like a spelling country of origin all right thanks kevin appreciate you buddy take care of yourself yep bye-bye i want to know what kind of books you read that have uh right so maybe that's kind

00:08:30 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 5:

of reading maybe it'll get me into reading it was something like you know be a be a lady and and not a it was something like that it was comparing it you know the difference between a

00:08:40 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 3:

lady and you know the other side of it i remember reading the bible and i was not a big i couldn't do the thou, theirs, those, you know what I mean? Like it was written. King James Version. Yeah, like the old school. Occasionally, though, it got a little risque. And when I would get into the versions of the Bible, I don't know if it was New Testament or Old Testament. I'm a heathen. But I would go, oh, I can read this book.

00:09:06 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? Like that Sodom and Gomorrah section. That's more your territory.
