This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:00:37 - 00:01:22 | Speaker 1:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.

00:02:00 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 3:

I've been wanting to get to this one this morning. We've been teasing it a little bit, but the mystery of who's drawing the dicks. What's going on, Shannon?

00:02:10 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so all six of us were out the other night, and that's myself, Wes, and all four of our kids, our very blended family. And we're driving in the car. Wes is driving. I'm sitting in the passenger seat. The two older kids, Sam and Kieran, are in the middle. And then my little ones, Lucy and Smith, are in the very, very back. And I notice from the front seat that somebody had drawn a big penis and wrote Wes next to it on one of the windows. And right off the bat, I think it's Smith because the kid loves drawing penises and writing naughty words that he has just learned how to spell. Okay. But upon questioning all four kids in the car, nobody would fess up to it. Actually, Smith started crying that we kept blaming him. And he's like, it really wasn't me.

00:03:00 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 5:

I love penises.

00:03:01 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 6:

But somebody clearly did it. And Wes was really, really upset about it because his name was written next to it. Right? Like, if it was just a dick, I don't think it would have mattered as much. Nameless dick. Except that it was, yeah, it was a named dick.

00:03:17 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 3:

And so I just. Was it a big or small one? Because maybe it was the size of the actual drawing.

00:03:22 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 6:

No, I mean, it was like, you know, in the window. Oh, okay. So I just wanted somebody to come clean because clearly somebody in that vehicle is lying. So we pull up into our driveway, we go inside the house, and we interrogate them for like a good 20 minutes when we get home. And still nobody is confessing to drawing the penis. And finally, Kieran, who's in high school, fesses up that he's the one that wrote Wes's name. Oh, really? But wouldn't admit to drying the penis.

00:03:58 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:03:58 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so Wes is already up in arms about that, that Kieran drew this. And I don't know why, but I have never, in all my years of knowing him, seen Wes so hot about this. Like, he was mad about this, this penis on the window. And it got to the point where, like, I finally gave up interrogating the kids and so did Wes. But we're laying in bed at night. I'm laying in Smith's bed, like, getting him ready for bed. And he is still crying that we think it's him. And he's like, Mom, I don't even draw penises like that. And he's like, I draw my penises skinny and long.

00:04:37 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 1:

And that one was short and fat.

00:04:39 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 6:

the fact that he was trying so hard to prove it wasn't him was so funny but i believed him because he's like you know how i draw my penis your honor my client is which is true which is true and then i was like and i and i was still talking about this at night in bed i'm like i kind of believe lucy Okay.

00:05:00 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 4:

Because she was on the total opposite end of the car. Right. And I'm like, and then the two older kids, like it, it would have been a stretch for them. So fast forward to the next day, this, this crime still does not even have a suspect at this point. We don't know who it is. And, um, I go to Jack's car wash to get my car cleaned. And I realized as I'm like using the vacuum and vacuum out my car that the, the Wes that kieran had written was on the inside of the car and the penis was very clearly drawn on the outside of the car so now i'm like great i seriously feel like some kid went around the parking lot where we were the night before drew a bunch of penises on car windows kieran just happened to write west and all the all four kids got blamed for so it's some yeah or the mystery penises penis it was just

00:05:47 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 7:

one isn't it by the way isn't it funny though that kids love love no kids no no no it's men

00:05:54 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 4:

it's men it's boys really boys boys and men yeah why do you love drawing penises i don't know

00:06:02 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 5:

you're so obsessed with yourselves it's wild i don't get it yeah like i don't draw boobs right

00:06:09 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 7:

that's true although i do i do remember like when as a kid you draw stick figures and your stick figures seem so awkward if it didn't have one right to prove that it was a male or female

00:06:19 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 4:

stick figure i um yeah i never drew a stick figure with boobs never yeah well you draw the

00:06:25 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 5:

penis that's how you know you do a little trying no try and go for the girls and that's it and

00:06:29 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 7:

that's it um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 uh who do you think let's let's let's have people put together suspects who's the suspect here you know what i thought these poor kids got questioned

00:06:42 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 6:

like they murdered you know what i thought yeah that it wasn't anyone that you mentioned you Remember a couple of weeks ago, you said Wes was sitting on the cabinet, and was it your sister who saw his dick?

00:06:55 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 4:

She didn't, but it was out saying hello on accident. She actually wrote on our social media that she didn't see anything. Okay, okay.

00:07:07 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 7:

All right. Who drew the dick? What do you think, Jackie? Hi.

00:07:14 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:07:15 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 7:

How are you?

00:07:16 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 3:

Good, good. And I'm actually at work right now. But, yeah, I actually had this happen to me when I was a high school senior. A couple kids, they actually was a kid that didn't get along with my younger brother. And so they had this beef, so they would go around drawing these. They called them Gonzo. But, yeah, we basically were trying to figure out what it was. My dad at the time was upset because it was a 2001 Mustang convertible, and he paid for it. So, and we live in a small town. So, yeah, come to find out, the only reason we found out who it was is because his girlfriend actually told me that it was him doing it. And he was doing it out of revenge because I was defending my younger brother at the time.

00:08:01 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 7:

Okay. And how close is your small town from Shannon's neighborhood? What's going on, Michelle? Maybe this is, maybe the person's making a, the serial penis. Making the rounds. Making the rounds. He's doing it again. What's up, Michelle?

00:08:15 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

hi how are you good what's up good um i was just calling at first of all i was just saying that maybe it's like not really a stalker but for shannon you know like maybe it's somebody just being weird like that or possibly i know that they've been together for a couple years

00:08:34 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 4:

maybe it's one of wes's exes or oh that would be very stalkery if an ex knew where we were out You know what I mean?

00:08:46 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. It's a tracker on you.

00:08:48 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 7:

Somebody actually says, and this is actually a good one, maybe there was a bachelor party in a place that you were parked recently. Because bachelor parties, for some reason, the girls are always obsessed with penises. Like everything's penis, you know, that they have.

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 6:

So you're just drawing dicks on windows?

00:09:02 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 7:

No, but you know how you do that? You go through a parking lot of a place, and you just start drawing on stuff like that. Do you ever write on somebody's car? Wash me, crazy stuff.

00:09:13 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:09:13 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Todd, what are your thoughts? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:09:16 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. So, I think it was Shannon. She had no contact with the show.

00:09:21 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 4:

She had no contact with the show. I can assure you, it was not me.

00:09:27 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 7:

It is a great topic. Listen, this is a great one.

00:09:30 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 5:

I promise. She has never started a fight for a topic.

00:09:34 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 7:

All right, hold on. Prove it, Shannon. Get a piece of paper and a pen and let's see you draw.

00:09:39 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

If you would have seen how mad my husband was.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 7:

what's that

00:09:45 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 1:

I said I'm the best liar in the world I think I got you

00:09:48 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 7:

yeah I don't understand what you just said the first part

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm the best liar in the world I think I got you you got you best liar

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 7:

alright

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 5:

All right. Gail, what's going on? Hi.

00:10:04 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 6:

So, listen, I'm sorry, Shannon. I know he's your baby and all, but I believe the baby might have done it as much as he cried about it. I know. And the reason why I say this is because I have raised four boys, and every single one of them have told that same move. They will come with the tears swearing up and down, no, no, no, no, no, and I find out the latter every time. Yeah, I know. That's kind of my guess still is that it was my little bubby.

00:10:36 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

What about Mandy? This ties into a topic from yesterday. What's up, Mandy?

00:10:42 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 6:

Hello.

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 5:

00:10:48 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 5:

She sounds like she either woke up or is everything okay?

00:10:53 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 6:

I'm just laughing.

00:10:54 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 5:

Okay, what's going on?

00:10:55 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

00:11:03 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 5:

00:11:22 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

00:11:23 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 5:

What are those guys' names again? Wheezy and...

00:11:26 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 3:

Dank and Dakota. They changed.

00:11:28 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 5:

Dank and Dakota. And what was the other guy's name?

00:11:31 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 3:

Drewski. But he doesn't do it anymore.

00:11:32 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 5:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:12:12 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 2:

Allen Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year. I don't think I'm mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first day I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great. You know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, As of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. And I've already got a job shadow before, and hopefully I will end the ship over the summer. If you choose Bishop, we're welcome to have you any day.
