even know that this feature was available google maps is often a go-to for travel and navigation but it's the street view function that would-be thieves are using to case your home it could be a

good way for criminals to um you know kind of do some research in the neighborhoods that they plan on targeting they're gonna be able to see what you know type of windows what what access points do they have from the front of the house it showed my one of my cars in the driveway clears

day according to fbi stats break-ins occur every 26 seconds in the u.s and account for nearly one million burglaries every year it's why some people are now blurring out their homes and businesses on google maps when officer ryan rails back of the riverside california police department learned about the feature, he blurred his own home, especially as home invasions have been on

the rise there. I don't know how often Google Maps updates these images. I know it's fairly frequent, but maybe the next time I have other cars or I have a garage open, I don't want any

of that to show. Here's how to do it. First, find your property on Google Maps. Next, go to the bottom right of the screen and click report a problem. Then click what you want blurred and hit submit you'll need to answer a few questions for google to make the change going

to all the websites that have your property information on there you can get it all taken down it does take time and it's something that will be almost a cat and mouse game because as soon as you take it down from one website a new one will pop up it's crazy though that that's like

So, in my neighborhood, we've had people drive by our house like that, but they used to live in our house. Oh, I did that the other day. Yeah, up and down our street because our houses on our street are over, like, 100 years old.

I know the people that used to live in my house, and also, if this, again, if it was, like, a one-day thing, I would get that, but this has happened multiple days, you know? Yeah.

And what I did is I tinted all my front windows of my house so nobody could see through. That's something that I feel like you should do as well, too.

So you tint them so that people can't see into your place, but it doesn't affect your view out? Yes. Does it help with, by the way, did you put spinners on that thing, too, on the house?

It also scares me that at night it's harder to see out.

Not really, because the ones that I got are mirror tent. So from the outside, you can only see your reflection of yourself. But when we look outside from inside of our house, it's a beautiful view. It's like there's no tent on it.
